Have you ever wondered what it would be like to feel another person's pain? Well, now you do! Congratulations, for you - and some other random sucker - are now a Kiznaiver, a person that is a part of the Kiznaiver Project. What's that, you may ask? Well, to put it layman's terms: you now have a "wound" on any part of your body that connects your physical pain to another person's and vice versa. Basically, if you get hit? They'll feel it. And if they get hit, you'll feel it, too.

Simple, right?

Probably not. Because as time passes by, you'll find yourself feeling more than just the other person's physical pain. You'll feel their emotional pain as well. And perhaps, you might be able to hear their thoughts. But don't worry, it's all a part of the project. And they did promise you that you'd be set free once summer was over. That is, if you don't break or die first.

Prompts:

① Kidnapping. Wherever you were last, you've been kidnapped by some weird mascot characters! No matter how you tried to fight, or even if you had powers that could certainly overpower some of these guys, they managed to capture you, drug you and perform the experiment on you. Congratulations, you're now a Kizaniver. Now figure out who else is a part of your group (or perhaps it's just the two of you) and figure things out. Maybe someone will explain to you the details of the experiment. Or not. Who knows?
② It hurts! As the saying goes, "no pain, no gain", right? Maybe you got hurt. Or maybe the other person got hurt. Whether it's the smallest pinch or the hardest punch, both of you are going to feel it, no matter where you are, or how far apart you may be.
③ Mission. Seems like the ones running the Kiznaiver Project are not happy with the way things are going, and they want results. And fast. Which is why they're forcing some sort of mission onto you. Don't clear it? They'll find a way, especially when it comes to physical pain. Maybe your mission is something embarrassing, like sharing secrets in the ballpit, or perhaps it's mundane. Either way, you're spending time together and clearing the mission whether you like it or not.
④ Emotional pain? You were told that it was just going to be physical pain. Boy, were you lied to. Apparently one of you got hurt emotionally - and now, you can feel that pain, too. Perhaps you're wondering why, or maybe you just don't care. Nevertheless, you can feel it and it's definitely a different kind of pain than the physical abuse you've been getting before.
⑤ Mind reading. What comes next after physical and emotional pain? Hearing the heart. Or rather, you have such a strong connection now that you can hear a person's painful thoughts. They're loud and clear and sometimes even sudden. They're not always going to be pleasant and perhaps, some of those thoughts might be about you, too.
⑥ Only one of us is a Kiznaiver! The obligatory "I have to hide that I am suddenly feeling pain out of nowhere" prompt. One of you is a Kiznaiver while the other... isn't. So if you're suddenly feeling in pain? You'll probably have to explain it away. Or perhaps you're going to tell the secret? Although you might get in trouble for that, since the project is so inhumane. But it's not like they told you that you have to hide it... right?
⑦ Pick your own adventure! Do you have any other ideas? Feel free to mix and match with any of the scenarios.

[It had started with physical pain. They'd found that neither one of them could hide pain from each other. Hinata had a bullet wound in his chest that shouldn't be there. Komaeda had started being very careful how far he pushed himself. It isn't just him feeling the burn of exhaustion or the agony of an impact anymore.

It feels like a terrible thing to be this connected. Komaeda opens the door to his house, well, now theirs. Living apart had seemed like a bad call. If one or the other were hurt they might as well be close by. He steps through into the living room with the heavy sound of his boots on the wood floor a warning he's returned. He slides his coat off his shoulders and feels a pang in his chest.

It had been a very long time since lights were on when he got home. The pain of loneliness dances with that hole in his chest that's ancient, only a fading echo of the loss from long ago.

He never dwells on it. That's not going to do him any good.] Hinata! I'm back.

[He goes looking for his classmate. He could wait for him but he has a goal in mind and like always, he does things his way.]

Like his fellow Kiznaivers, Noa didn't like that they'd been forced into this experiment. Even if there were good intentions behind it -- could something like this really offer insight in world peace? -- they should've had a choice in participating. At this point, there was no point stressing over what was already done. While he'd never wish his physical pain and emotional guilt on the others, he was glad he could help lessen that of theirs even a little bit. And along the way, he thought they were getting closer. If they wouldn't call each other friends yet, maybe they were on their way.

They'd graduated beyond sharing the aches and injuries to some of the deeper-set, less tangible hurts. Noa's chest seized and tightened -- occasionally at first, but as the days passed it happened more frequently, every day now and sometimes more than once. It wasn't coming from him, obviously. That's when he started really noticing the yearning looks Takashiro cast Agata's way, especially when Sonozaki was around. Takashiro was very caring, almost motherly, and Noa appreciated her kindness, but she fussed and followed up with Agata more. He was special to her, and he seemed to take it for granted. Noa could see how badly that would hurt.

After school, he caught Takashiro on her own and waved her down. "How have you been?" he asked her with a warm smile. His expression slackened, and he clenched a fist over his chest. "It's been hurting a lot recently. I just wanted to check if you were okay."

Fai has been given the task of picking up groceries today for his team while they did other necessary tasks. Especially trying to locate another of Sakura-chan's feathers. Sadly, no Kurogane to tease today. But that's alright. Fai is smiling as he roams the streets, wondering what kind of food they have in this country and what kind of recipes he can make with it. He's thinking maybe something slightly sweet with a good savoury flavour would be best tonight.

Of course, he's cheerful to vendors and gives a kind smile to everyone he passes by. Holding a few bags already, he notices a kid with orange hair. That seems a little unusual for this country. Although, he himself probably sticks out like a sore thumb on some level. He gives the boy just as polite a smile as he has anyone else as he starts to walk by him. Then there is a strange twinge at the edge of his mind.

Hmm... What was that? Did he just hear someone else's voice in his head? Strange. Fai turns around and trots up to Kyo, all smiles, he pats the boy's shoulder. Oddly enough, it happens again, and the thoughts don't seem all that pleasant. Curious as to why this is happening, Fai also wonders if maybe the child needs help. Maybe there's a special reason he's hearing this boy's thoughts.

"Hey, there! Are you doing alright? You seem kind of down." He's pretty sure mind-reading isn't a normal thing in this country, since this boy seems to be the only one his mind is hearing. At least, he's pretty sure it's this boy. So, he's not quite sure he should let on to what he's hearing yet.

[This is... bad. Really bad. Getting himself involved in some shady project regarding pain should raise some alarms in his head, but by the time it dawned on him, it was too late.

And what a surprise, he was bounded with him, of all people. Honestly, this is really getting old. Don't these muns have anything better to do?

Wh-Whatever! Either way, they need to get this dilapidated building, and fast. But whoever's running the project locked both of them up in this room with no other way out, but a mysterious voice on an overhead speaker had said that they'll set them free if they clear the mission.

Confess.

Confess what exactly?! The entire vagueness of it all is making Ichimatsu a lot more irate than usual, causing him to bang his head against the fucking wall over and over and over in sheer frustration, muttering "Fuck, Fuck, fuck," with each hit.

Noa had gone through so much already. He was in some degree of pain every day due to the health condition that forced him to wear the metallic brace strapped to his back for support. While that alleviated some of the wear and tear, he learned to just live with the residual dull aches. Kidnapping wasn't new to him either, since he had been pulled from his home to the Shard Casting world and thrust in the middle of political intrigue. He was bestowed elemental magic and chosen to be the master of a Key Spirit. Armed with these, he fought many battles in the name of what turned out to be misguided power. With that came battle injuries, confusion, and immense guilt for all the pain he has caused. To force his baggage onto others as part of an experiment was cruel, yet it also brought him friends he may never have made otherwise. If the Kizna project is really meant to bring understanding, maybe there's some good in being able to help his comrades better.

Okay, whoever thought kidnapping and operating on her in the name of science, world peace, or whatever shit they're touting was a good idea? Shinobu could just kill them. Turns out that was easier said than done, considering they were able to nab and subdue her -- a trained swordsman and assassin -- in the first place. Just because they turned her into a Kiznaiver didn't mean she had to play make-believe friends. She's not a brooder, but she's more of her own girl. Losing the most important person to you and seeking revenge will do that to someone, not that she'll volunteer that information readily. Still, even if she isn't working with the others directly, that doesn't exempt them from whatever pain she endures -- have fun with random cuts and bruises from tangoing with other assassins -- and vice versa. Maybe things will finally get to a point where she realizes it'll benefit her and them to see this shit through.

Can still play out the kidnapping scene even though I wrote it as already happened, or if you'd rather they can be the normal person wondering what's up with your Kiznaiver character -- though Shinobu's less likely to sympathize and help unless canon or assumed CR.))
