In nature, animals can be territorial. This makes sense; it's a cutthroat world, and you have to keep what's yours just to survive. They keep a close watch on lands, food supplies, and even sometimes mates. Pet owners can tell you that this instinct doesn't just go away - try getting that chew toy from your poodle. But what about people? Aren't we just animals, too? But for us, possessiveness is not a good social trait to have. That's understandable. Nobody likes someone so hung up on owning things. Especially not owning their lovers, since you can't simply have another person like that.

Yet even the most benign, most monkish of souls have possessive streaks at some moments when it comes to the person they're sleeping with. It's only natural. Usually, it comes from jealousy. You like having what's yours (even if it's a cruel way to think about things, that's the reptile brain peeking through), and you'd want it to stay that way. That means you want to show up the competition and remind the object of your desires that you're the apple of their eye. Of course, possessiveness doesn't always come from jealousy. Some people are just very, very...how do we say it...protective of them and theirs. How can they help that they want to show that in intimate ways?

In relationships, possessiveness throughout isn't healthy; still, a little bit of it can be actually arousing, especially in the bedroom. Today, the hotel is awakening that side of characters: the part that wants to screw their partner mercilessly to show them that they are the ones to touch them, to love them, to fuck them.

But my character isn't the possessive type, you say? Really? Really? As we've mentioned before, even the most kindhearted types feel it every once and a while. This meme never mentioned that it had to be a HUGE show of possession. It can even be a playful attempt in order to get their partner going or try a new kink in bed. Or, you could say the "influences" made them do it.

After all, there's plenty of prompts here to influence you.

HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. You also may want to include if your character is more or less likely to be the possessive or jealous party, but please note that all characters have the potential to be that in this meme. Otherwise, you'd get a lot of passive pillow queen characters to be fawned over so be mindful of that.

2. Insecurity: There's no outside source here, only self-worth issues that cause a need for possession.

10. Virginity: You want to claim what no one else has, and that will be you and you only.
11. Playfulness: All this is simply fun between the two of you.
12. Cruelty: You want to humiliate your partner by reminding them that you're the one in charge here.

He'd found the broken skin, the bite mark in a very delicate place, when showering. The rest of the bruises and welts head already begun to fade by the time he'd investigated the tender area. His fingers had probed and prodded but the shape of a mouth had not changed. Moran had overstepped.

The sniper's luck was still holding. Out on a job when his mistake had been discovered. James was not rash enough to call a hit on the other man in a fit of pique but he had briefly considered it. Erik finds he dislikes Logan with a burning passion. It's a maddening combination of the leather jacket, sideburns, an annoying, grating attitude, and the offhanded remarks that suggest this relative stranger knows him far better than he has any right to. Which, of course, extends to Charles as well. And that is the problem. How well do they know each other? He doesn't like the familiarity shared between the two men, the way Logan looks at Charles, when he believes none are paying attention on the jet. It's a look filled with... no, he's not pondering this. This is completely irrational and ridiculous.

However old the two may be in the future where this furry cretin hails from, they know him. And he battles the man enough that he finds his dislike must be well-placed. His future self is no fool. That he wholeheartedly believes in.

When they land in Paris, the four travel straight to their hotel. Hank is unnaturally quiet, sending Erik the occasional wary glance when either he or Charles address each other. Logan the mongrel stalks about as if he owns the place. Naturally, this darkens Erik's mood as he pulls up the rear of the group, his blue eyes icy as they regard the time traveler with distrust and unmasked contempt.

Two rooms rented. The flare of satisfaction upon realizing that, like some buddy system, he's been paired off with Charles. It's a wise decision, that. He'd have murdered Logan in his sleep, and if the man shared a room with Charles... suffice it to say, Hank would be casting him many more wary glances.

"We'll get dinner in a bit?" Hank asks, as the two groups split.

He ignores their murmured conversation, instead opting to stalk down the hall in search of their room. Charles is free to follow at his leisure, though when they step into said hotel room, Erik will be spinning on the man, slamming him roughly against the door which locks under the influence of his mutation.

Usually, there would be a flicker of excitement over the prospect of their powers coming head to head. But Charles' telepathy is muted, and Erik is fully in control now--a fact he takes complete advantage of as he pins the telepath to the door. Nearby metal bends and reshapes itself to his will, and like liquid it drifts closer, looping around Charles' wrists and dragging them up, up, up, until those wrists are pinned beside the man's shaggy head.

"How well do you two know each other?" There's a bit of a crazed glint to his eyes, to his tone.
