2. Gym Leader - An elite trainer who waits for challengers to come to them. Usually a specialist of a specific type, they test their opponents and hand over a Gym Badge to any who prove to be victorious!

3. Pokémon Breeder - A kind and nurturing sort of trainer who strives to breed and hatch and raise the perfect Pokémon.

4. Coordinator - A trainer who has moved away from the field of battle to take on a new stage. Whether it's the Razzledazzle of Pokémon contests, or the drama of Pokémon musicals they prove the a passion for pokémon doesn't always mean they have to fight.

6. Elite Four - You are simply one of the best there is. Most normal opponents wouldn't stand a chance against your prowess.

8. Evil Team Member - Whether it's Team Rocket, Magma, Aqua, Galactic, Plasma or an entirely new one no one has heard of before... you're here, you're causing trouble, and no one had better stand in your way.

9. Youngster - Hey! Aren't you too young to be a Trainer? Either way this kid doesn't care. They only care about their Ratatta. Because their Ratatta is the best in the whole world. [ As one of the more famous breeders in the world, Francis Bonnefoy specialised in breeding rare poke'mon. He had a weird peculiarity about poke'balls, disliking the very concept of keeping something locked up.

Never having used one himself, the poke'mon on his 'team' were really just the poke'mon he kept around him, allowing them to stay on his grounds more as pets, than as fighters. If one asked, they're probably receive some weird answer as to why he let his poke'mon roam freely around his house, something about l'amour and liberté, égalité, fraternité.

Eccentric to the core, he had a rule before stepping onto his property that all poke'mon still inside poke'balls must be released, and that if one had unruly poke'mon, they would not bring them onto the property.

As the young blonde stepped up the pathway to his property, he tilted his head. What exquisite and difficult poke'mon would this young woman bring to him today? He was pretty sure he would find out as soon as the woman saw the sign at the front of the grounds. She looked young, and more or less like any other pretty thing at her age, though this one was a little different. The determination in her glance, the confidence in her step.

Yes indeed, this one was hiding more behind that pretty smile. Francis smiled as well, then came to the door, opening it to stand out on his porch, waiting for her. ]

[Oh yes. Travels the regions, beats all of the gym leaders. Has a TON of pokemon but here is his main team. He's always getting into scuffles with Team Rocket because they're evil and whatnot. Overall he's a very friendly guy and he loves his pokemon to death. They're all special to him in some way. He's pretty revered for his strategies and planning and frandship with his pokebros.]

[It's storming outside. Lightning is the only source of illumination, and thunder rumbles so violently that the ground shakes with every crack. The trees whip back and forth with the wind, and it's possible for any one of them to split open.

The only relatively safe space seems to be an old manor in the distance. A Machoke is working outside of it despite the awful weather, carrying branches and trunks that were blown or shocked loose away from the manor. The Pokemon doesn't seem to be phased by the weather--it only keeps its head ducked to keep rain from its eyes and continues working.]

Her Gym is probably an imitation of a dark cave. Enjoy copious use of flash and trainers hiding in the shadows with like seven Golbats deadset on poisoning your pokemon before going down. Just like an actual cave!]

No, but seriously. This guy just chills around Castelia City, accepting any challenger that comes along his way. Accelgor, Luxray, Klinklang, Exploud and Kingler are the Pokemon that he keeps with him, and he's certainly not a pushover.

Konami-kun pretty much just spends his time coasting around looking for people to team up with, and trading with them when he can. He also tends to watch any trainers for a while before approaching them because he's a giant creeper, and Yuusei's been on his watch list since he arrived in Castelia a few days back. He's only just approaching now, though.]

[Having no real affiliation, Ryo seems content with just challenging Trainers left and right and beating the ever-living crap out of them. No, really. And sometimes, he fights a little dirty with his overkill methods. In fact, he's witnessed a few near-fatal Pokemon injuries in his time, and most of them by his own hand.

Though, he's beyond the point of caring. All that matters to him is victory. And he does everything in his power to achieve said victory with his Steelix, Hydreigon and Houndoom.

Do you dare challenge him? Or even try to stop him from being so careless during Pokemon battles?


Alternatively, he's currently without any of his Pokemon aside from Steelix, being forced to go without by an old friend of his until he learns to respect his Pokemon as he should. Unfortunately, that's what happens when said old friend used to be a Pokemon thief.]

Well, recently it's begun broadcasting a hit new late-night radio program; The Devil's Playhouse, a drama anthology series with tales of horror and suspense, its mysterious and captivatingly voiced host known only by the initials "S.E."
But tonight's show is a very special occasion, ladies and gentlemen: If you dare to venture to the Radio Tower, challenge him to a battle, and win... you'll be rewarded with a fabulous prize.
What is this prize? Only the bravest of trainers will find out!

Actually, he shouldn't give you too much trouble, so long as you're at least mildly experienced. The guy seems to have a thing for roses and rabbits...]

[It's no surprise Kairi has a soft spot for any Pokemon that would be injured or one that say, follows her home one day. So she has an interesting array of Pokemon, though her favorite seems to be her Houndoom (but picking favorites is bad, m'kay), but she gives equal attention to her Audino, Milotic, Marowak, Dragonair and Gardevoir.

This time, she has quite a few eggs, some from people that have been unable to take care of their eggs for some reason or those that she just recently acquired from her own Pokemon. Feel free to ask for one!]

[Just another day for Jim and his Feraligatr: traveling around, scaling mountains and searching through wide fields to discover more about the mysteries of Pokemon. Even though he was chased earlier by a pack of wild Electrike and had gotten caught up in a wild storm, he couldn't complain much - his small injuries were healing and he had found a nice little area to set up camp.

So now, he was looking over his research notes as he rested beside a small creek, enjoying the now peaceful atmosphere. Beside him, his Feraligatr followed through with her master's content attitude, sleeping peacefully beside him.]

[It's not very often when Kairi decides to go off on her own to a part of the world that isn't very civilized, but when she'd left, she felt that she needed at least a little while to go off and do her own thing, discover some sights on her own. After all, it isn't as if she's entirely defenseless. With strong Pokemon to fight and an Audino to heal, she's pretty much set.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that she can't seek company from others, especially if they're as far out as this. So when she sees a fire in the distance, she carefully makes her way towards it, though she releases her Milotic - if there's any negativity, at least the Pokemon can get rid of those feelings long enough for her to make her way out of the situation.

When she approaches, she's smiling, a hand on the Milotic's neck that's floating beside her.]

I didn't expect to find anyone else out here.

[The Water-type Gym is set up like a history museum, but the way it's decorated makes it look more like something out of an H.P. Lovecraft story... or the Pokemon universe equivalent to one, anyway. Tapestries and other furnishings depicting eyes and tentacles fill the exhibit halls...
Until you meet the Leader, an elderly gentleman by the name of Norrington, who is at the top in the planetarium, awaiting challengers]

[The entire Gym is fashioned in the likeness of a Research Facility. Cold stainless steel walls, large machinery, and all sorts of flashing lights on the walls and machines are a good show of that. Past the rather empty room are a few Gym Trainers, like always. However, get past them and you will be allowed to ride the escalator.

Up top, in front of several massive computer screens is the Steel-Type Gym Leader, sitting on a computer chair with a cup of coffee in her hand. Surely she can't be that difficult.]

[Know that friend of yours that you knew since you were kids? The one that got their pokemon at the same time you did? That's pretty much Rhi'a here. She's a bit spacy, but don't let that fool you: she's tough as nails when she battling.

...and hey, she gives you free stuff when you beat her, or heals your pokemon if you don't. Maybe she bumped into you without paying attention? Probably, I did mention she's spacy...]

[Bumping into someone wasn't a good thing! Sayaka was quick to hop back up to her feet and hold out a hand to help the other person up, but... then she recognized it as Rhi'a. She didn't withdraw her hand, but she suddenly looked very put-upon.]

Oh. It's you again. [She doesn't dislike her or anything, they grew up together and laughed with each other and made a promise to get their pokemon at exactly the same time so neither of them would get ahead of the other, but that 'rival' thing seemed a lot more fun to Sayaka when it was on TV. Having her come out of nowhere to fight her when she was least ready for it got pretty grating pretty quickly. Especially with how much angry Sayaka's Milotic got at Rhi'a's.]

You should really pay more attention, you know. Someday something worse than a bump's going to happen.

[So, you were just minding your business. Crossing a path, or the city streets. When suddenly, from out of nowhere, a pink-haired boy jumps out of the bushes!]

[There's bad news and good news here. Bad news is: he's pretty damn good. The good news is: don't worry, he won't sic his whole team on you. Unless you're enough of a challenge to warrant it.]

[Don't mind Homura! She'll just be stumbling backwards and landing on her rear, right in the middle of the street. Where was he even hiding...?

So, she knew she had to accept the challenge of anyone whose eyes she met while out in the routes, but did that apply to towns, too? She'd never been challenged in a town before. Even with how long her journey had been going on.

But she had to accept either way, right? Trainers weren't cowards! So she quickly hops to her feet and brushes herself off, then nods her head.]

A... alright! [Hey, she actually did it! Good job. Though should they really be battling in the middle of the street like this?]

[And a high-ranking one, the kind that can be called into any part of the region if a crime is big enough. But he prefers not to battle, instead just spending time with his human and Pokemon team, the latter comprised only of Pokemon he's at some point found and raised himself until they're tirelessly loyal.



Wherever you meet him, he's walking around with his Espeon, Ariadne, padding by his side, both of her tails twitching.

He may be, one, sitting at a rock at the edge of the woods, writing down notes in a little book and not paying attention to anything, or two, walking around the city, a messenger bag slung over his shoulder. Maybe you're involved in a case he's working on, maybe you're just lost, maybe you're an old friend--either way, you've just come across him.]

Howard is a trainer, currently on route between Kanto and Johto, taking a break from a long hike by resting on a rock in a field. He's instructed his Teddiursa to dig up roots and berries, and the Pokemon brings handfuls of the spoils to him for approval.

Zouichi was passing by largely out of chance, cradling a Rufflet in his arms instead of putting it in a Pokeball or making it walk, because that was how he rolled. It was incredibly spoiled, but for that reason, it adored him. Also its name was Alan and it was the best Rufflet.

[Justine Florbelle is a young lady who is only ever seen with her Roserade. Most people think that Roserade is her only Pokemon, but they're wrong. Just as they're wrong about her.

Justine is the life of the party and regularly throws balls at her manor. She goes through men like water, and she seems like an utter airhead.



Unfortunately, she's not an airhead. She's very intelligent, in fact. Intelligent enough to be one of the best underworld researcher out there, specializing in psychological studies.

Although it's probably best to not ask about how she conducts her experiments, nor is it best to inquire about why so many people keep going missing from nearby.]

[Albert is a gym leader in a small town. The amount of money brought in from tourists coming to fight him keeps the local economy afloat. Currently, Albert is polishing his Meowth's head coin and relaxing in the gym training room.]
