The Icons First Meme



The premise is pretty simple:

1) Go to post a comment.
2) Before you type anything, click the "Random icon" button.
3) This is now your icon. This is the expression your character has. This is what she is wearing. This is what he has in his mouth. This is what is happening.
3) Your tag must now be based on the icon.
4) Reply to others, always choosing a random icon first.
5) Let the hijinks occur!

Note: As the poster of this meme, I have no problems with nsfw icons, and in fact think they can add to instruction #5. Just give your threadmates a little warning for a happy and healthy meme-ing experience.

[Gifts are the last thing Hector expects from Isaac. With a bemused frown tugging at his lips, he blinks slowly and turns the phallic-shaped thing over in his hands, finding it perfectly smooth and as hard as the stones beneath his feet. Initially, he tells himself it's some manner of weapon to be tucked into his nightstand and fool anyone stupid enough to break into his quarters and rummage through his belongings. That if he touches the right place, a slender blade will flick out of it. Those things, he understands. Appreciates. A man can never have too many knives, even if they come in crude sheaths.

Yet there is no weapon to be sensed or felt. Warm, dark energy thrums beneath its crystalline surface, lifting the fine hairs along his arms, and he realizes it's been crafted for far simpler purposes, to ease the needs and aches Hector would rather grind his teeth against. His brows furrow, cheeks tinting pink. Refusing to curl his fingers around it, he keeps his palm still and flat. He's seen and held many things in his time serving Dracula, most of which have been cold and sharp, slick with blood, or screeching and hellbent on sinking their fangs into his hand. There were words aplenty for those, even from a man as stoic as he is.

But for several long, painfully awkward seconds, his mind is blank, a slate wiped clean of rare smalltalk and rarer thank-you's. After clawing his way through six years of castle life, he expects such an off-color gift to come from a succubus or incubus looking to ruffle his feathers. Receiving it from his fellow general somehow ruffles them even more.

He lifts a brow when he finally looks up, unsure whether he should feel disgusted or annoyed. Amused is simply not in his arsenal.] "Surely, you jest."

[ ...Welp. He couldn't say he never thought this wasn't going to happen. It had been a possibility for years, Avenging or not, off the grid or not because as far as some people were concerned? It would only be over with Bruce seeing the inside of a cell. Between the full extent of Hulk's rampages being released after S.H.I.E.L.D. fell, the Ultron clusterfuck, Johannesburg, and the Accords — people would eventually start looking for the MIA gamma bomb on two legs and there were only so many places he could hide before the jig was up.

Of course he'd made it easy for them. Reaching out, however carefully, to try and find Steve — it sent ripples out that led back to the source all too soon. And Ross had learned his lessons well for all he hid behind legitimacy now. No tanks, no guns, no boots on the ground pounding after him. Just quiet spies, a long scope, a sniper rifle, and enough tranquilizers to knock out a horse for the weekend.

When Bruce wakes up, it's with a killer migraine that leaves him retching until he gets his head between his knees. Deep breaths. Slow exhales. What little he catches out the corner of his eye marks a cell, streamlined to the max, minimal furniture. More than that, though, is the green rush pressing against his eyeballs in seething rage at someone daring to contain him, how fucking dare they, he'll break them all——

Groaning, he quiets the growling noise in his brain before it makes the headache worse. ]

Christ, th- [ He inhales sharply as the pain spikes, hissing through his teeth as his fingers clench at the mattress underneath him. ] Ugh.
