For when the romantic tension struggle is too real.

will they, won't they?
Oh my god, there is nothing more frustrating than when you want to kiss someone and press them against a wall, but for some reason, you can’t—or when you see two people who are obviously in love and you want to shove them into a room already. What is preventing you two from getting together? Can anyone end this?
directions
1. Comment with your character, series, preferences, etc. in the subject.
2. Roll a number between 1-15 for a prompt.
3. Reply to others and play the scenario out!
4. JUST GET A ROOM ALREADY. OMG.
prompts
1. BOSS ✖ A romance with a higher up or your boss is taboo for many good reasons, but you’re finding yourself falling in love with them anyways. Will others approve? Will one of you have to quit your job to not get the other into trouble?
2. JUST FRIENDS ✖ Talk about one of the biggest roadblocks to love ever! You want to kiss them, but you don’t want to ruin your current relationship. What are you going to do? Will you get the guts to confess and hope for the best?
3. GOALS ✖ You want to tear down a building to build an apartment complex, they want to make it a historical landmark. Opposing dreams and goals are huge roadblocks, especially if you happen to want to ‘sleep with the enemy’… literally.
4. TEAMMATES ✖ You work well together, you can depend on them no matter what, and you get along outside of the office or game. What you feel is just that happy camaraderie, not any mushy feelings of love or romantic affection! Is it?
5. DENIAL ✖ No, no way. You do not love that other person. They are stupid or just too prideful or you’re not interested in them at all. Ha, admit it, you totally are. Now go over there and admit your feelings before everyone around you goes insane.
6. COWORKERS ✖ Oh, this is awful. You really, really like your coworker, but there is a no dating policy, or they don’t date coworkers under any circumstances. Dare you make a move after hours or in the break room? It could be worse; you could have the hots for your boss.
7. POLITICS ✖ Clashing beliefs and heated debates always gets the blood pumping, and even though you have sworn to defeat them and get your bill pushed through, their eyes make your heart jump and makes you reconsider your ideals… Can you find a compromise or let bygones be bygones?
8. TAKEN ✖ Oh god. How can you confess to someone who is already taken? Why are you even feeling like this? You must never let them know. Ignore everyone who is encouraging you to take a leap of faith anyways. They are taken and that is that.
9. SOCIAL CLASS ✖ She is a princess, you are a stable boy, he is a rich lord, you are the scullery maid… Money is an important factor to any relationship, and sometimes, it can be one of the barriers. But how long are you going to let positions and titles keep you apart?
10. PRIDE ✖ You? Be in love with someone like that? Ha! No way. You are far above them, and you deserve only the best love. But… what if they are the best love and you just don’t realize it yet?
11. FAMILY FEUD ✖ One of the most famous of all the situations, for some reason, your families are fighting and as much as you like the other person, you can’t betray your family this way. But is there a good reason for the feud? Or a misunderstanding? Will true love conquer all without the abundance of death?
12. OBLIVIOUS ✖ This is the most frustrating one ever. It’s not that they hate each other or someone else is making a barrier, it’s just that they you have no idea how good of a couple you would make or how you always flirt with each other. Will one of you realize it, or does someone need to give you a push?
13. DUTY ✖ Bound by honor and loyalty, you can never cross the line that divides you and your love, be it that you swore to protect them or they serve you. Or will you? How will others react to this? Might it be considered forbidden?
14. FRIEND-ZONED ✖ Oh no, it's not what you think. You see, your best friend likes the person you like, and they are trying to go on a date with them (or get into their bed). But you can't let either of them know, because that is not what good friends do. But what do you do if your mutual crush is interested in you anyways?
15. WILDCARD ✖ Is there something we missed? Is there another scenario you want to play out, or would you like to roll the dice again? Go for it!

4 - This is so rambly
She doesn't mind. The truth is, staying in one place for too long has never felt natural to her. Even if she had begun to know what it felt like to be part of a team, of a unit, there was a part of her that knew it wouldn't last. She moves from one safehouse to the next as she works out what to do next. She knows that Steve and the others have also gone underground, that all that's left of the Avengers is Iron Man, Vision and a recovering War Machine. It doesn't seem right, but then the world rarely is.
She takes on jobs occasionally, not because she needs the money, but because she still has a debt to pay. She vets each one carefully, making sure that they meet her own criteria and they're not related in anyway to Stark or Ross. And then, one day when she least expects it, her work pays off. She gets information about a ragtag group of Americans in Wakanda of all places. She'd had her suspicions, of course, but she hardly thought she'd be welcome there after she repeatedly tased their current leader. Still, the promise of seeing an old friend - one of her few if she's honest - is too much to resist.
She watches the palace for a good week before she spots Steve leave. She falls into step behind him, leaving enough distance between them to avoid suspicion until they've gotten far enough away from the palace to be safe.
omg sam i just realized this was you
Once they were in, they barely left the palace. A team of very white, very American superhumans was sure get noticed, and news traveled fast. But there was one mission that propelled Steve to leave, discretely, once a week. Ever since the Accords, the Captain had started a search for Bruce. He had a hunch Banner would be on his side of the Accords, but more importantly, he knew that the United Nation would be searching for him too, and Steve had every intention of finding him first.
When they'd setup in Wakanda, Steve had secretly briefed and assigned the search and retrieval mission to Clint; and once a week, Clint reported back by sending messages to a relay station they'd setup in a little village outside of the city. This morning, Steve had set out from the palace to retrieve those messages.
Still, Captain America was a solider, not a spy. He could do his best to stay hidden, and but he doesn't know how to blend in, or stay in the shadows. If Natasha never revealed herself, he'd never even know that he was being followed.
I should've said!
"Of all the gin joints in all the towns," she says, her voice low but amused. She reaches up and pulls her hood back enough to show a flash of red hair. "I didn't expect you to be here."
But then again, that's the point, isn't it? She moves towards a booth at the edge of the market, picking up a large orange and turning it over in her hand before smelling it. She waits patiently for him to join her.

He'd heard about her official breakup with the U.N. after she'd helped them that day. It had put her on the same list as him, and Clint, and Scott, and the rest of them: Arrest on sight. But Natasha had never reached out and Steve had never known if it was by choice. Four months went by and he'd started to wonder if she'd gone after Bruce, and if that was the case, he'd find her when he found him.
"And yet here you are," he says, voice matching hers in tone, "walking into mine." He reaches over the oranges and takes a pear, flipping it over in his hands for inspection.

Steve had a way of finding trouble, regardless of whether or not he'd asked for it. She knew that all too well from personal experience. She also knew, however, that he always tried to do the right thing.
"I was actually beginning to think you were getting good at laying low."
8, lmk if this works!
It had been a pretty uneventful time since she joined, though. Nothing major - not like aliens attacking New York or anything like that - but enough that she had been getting better and better at honing her natural banshee-esque abilities. It wasn't every superheroine who could scream and shatter glass, after all, but she was sort of proud of it. More so when she became one of them, instead of just watching them on television.
It was hard not to be a little proud of yourself when you were working alongside Captain America (et al), after all. And when they all seemed to legitimately appreciate your presence with them. Of course, that probably only helped along the odd crush she'd been harbouring for Steve. Before she joined, it was easy to ignore the mild pangs of attraction; but now? Now, it was nearly impossible to ignore, not when she was so close to him.
And if Lydia put herself purposefully closer to him... Well, so be it.
wow my intro just became a huge feels fest full of sadness T_T
For years, he could never let go. Especially not while Peggy was still alive. It didn't matter to him that she had led an entire life without him, complete with husband and children. He'd still visit and sit, and just talk. He didn't want anything other than her happiness.
After she'd died, he'd carried her casket at her funeral. It had been a day more devastating than the day he died. Wilson, Stark and Romanoff were the only ones who knew.
But people aren't lying when they tell you that time heals all wounds. Time, and staying occupied. The Avengers were his family now and he spent most of his waking hours either training them, or developing new ways to do so.
And then there was Lydia Martin, their newest and youngest member. Just like Wanda, Lydia's ability was a raw talent just waiting to be honed. The more they worked together — both in the field and in training — the more Steve could see her developing control, precision and technique. It was hard not to be proud of her. So every now and then, he'd give her an encouraging pat on the back, maybe tussle her hair, even the occasional high five. It was physical contact, but anyone was smart enough to see that he was treating her like a kid.
but i love it ;u;
So while Lydia was entirely aware that those little touches were nothing more than the encouragement of someone who was trying to come off as a big brother, it didn't really stop her from keeping an eye on him. Everyone's attention was caught every now and then, after all. Hers had been caught by him, for the first time in a while. And really, though it was abundantly clear that she had a type - physically, Steve and Jackson weren't entirely different - she knew full well that Steve was a much better guy, no matter what the media liked to spin.
She knew him personally, after all. She'd seen how he could be. She'd seen his smile. And while she would never profess to know him best, she did know him, at least a little.
"Do you mind helping me later? With some of my training?" Lydia asked him one evening, approaching as things were growing quiet, winding down for the day.

"Let me hit the showers, and I can join you in the training room in fifteen?" He looked up at her expectantly, waiting for her answer.
no subject
She hummed, though, tone easing towards teasing: "Are you sure you don't want to wait to shower afterwards? Or are you thinking you're not going to work up that much of a sweat with me?"
no subject
As with most Avengers with special abilities, there was basic training, and then ability-specific training. He'd assumed she'd meant the latter earlier, but he's starting to suspect she means the former.
no subject
She couldn't help but smile, a warm, pleased thing. "Hand to hand. I know that I need time to catch my breath before I can scream someone into submission, and the last thing I want is to get overwhelmed and captured or killed because I couldn't get there."
Sure, her hand to hand skills were already pretty good, but there was a difference between taking on someone her own size - like Wanda - and taking on Steve Rogers.

The walk to the training room wasn't long, and as always, the room was stocked full of custom-made gym equipment that could withstand some of the superhuman or otherworldly powers that sometimes went flying around.
Steve gestured for them however, to go over to the open mats.
"All right Lydia. I haven't checked-in with your basic training for a few days. Let's set a baseline. Show me what you can do." Attack him, basically.
no subject
She ignored it, though, in favour of focusing on the here and now, and padding casually over to one side of the mat. She rolled her shoulders out carefully, smirked his way a little, and launched at him: one, two, three steps, each gaining momentum over the last, and she jumped, leading with her knees in a move she probably learned from Natasha.
no subject
When he rolls right back up to his feet, his arms are up and he throws a series of punches at Lydia, testing her ability to block and dodge the attacks.
no subject
She brought her hands up quickly, snapping them up to block what she couldn't dodge. The flurry of punches had her on the balls of her feet, focusing too intently in an attempt to deflect them all, but she had this. It was just a matter of getting back off the defence. So she snapped a high kick up after his punches, trying to catch him off-guard enough to take it back.
no subject
But she was learning from Natasha after all. The ability to use your legs was her specialty. Time to see if Lydia can get herself out of a tough situation.
At his next strike, he reaches further than a normal attack, instead going for her shoulder to get in a takedown that should have Steve pinning Lydia to the ground. But if Natasha taught her right, Lydia should have a few options to get out. One includes leveraging her legs well enough to flip her opponent over, so that she was on top.
no subject
"I've been practicing," she told him a little breathlessly. She'd been doing little else besides that, actually.
And thankfully, Natasha was a great teacher - not that anyone was surprised, probably - which meant she was more than capable of retaliating when he went to bring her down. It wasn't going to be over so quickly. And that was exactly what she did, shifting and flipping them over, making the most of the size difference to do so. If she did manage to pin him, she'd just grin down at him.
no subject
"Natasha's going to be proud." She was learning quick, and he made a note to keep that in mind.
There was only one last thing he wanted to test. Now that she had him pinned here, could she keep him here? He doesn't go at full speed, but his hands take aim towards Lydia's chin. If she doesn't stop him, he has enough control so that the blow won't actually connect. But now that she's pinned down his body, she needs to be able to control his arms.
no subject
Steve, though, wasn't a real opponent, and she had no interest in knocking him out.
"What about you?" Lydia asked bluntly. "Are you proud?"
