4. Back together - you broke up for a bit, but whatever it is between you two, you can't stay apart.

But it always seems like Kayneth wants him out of his house immediately after the action.
It's pissing Moses off a lot at this point.
It's one of the rare mornings where Moses was able to avoid being forced out of the house, but it's a very rare morning indeed. As Kayneth still sleeps, Moses sneaks down and makes breakfast for him. Returning up with eggs, bacon and coffee for his lover, he climbs back into the large bed, and places the tray over his lap.]

This stray dog that he almost certainly shouldn't be sleeping with, considering his position and his reputation. It's dangerous and enormously stupid of him. He can easily envision the consequences of being found out. He's tried to be careful and limit the time he's spent with Moses. But he'd been up so late last night, and had been so exhausted, that he had forgotten to work his usual evening magecraft, which made sure he woke up early and refreshed. Sadly, his laxity meant that he had fallen into a normal human sleep. He'd overslept. He never does that.
When Moses shoves a tray of food in his face, he belatedly blinks himself awake, staring down at the food—and then up at Moses—with a sense of incredulity. He feels the usual twinge of desire at the sight of Moses, but it's accompanied by a stab of dread.
What is he doing with his life?]

[Which is normally what happens. He's used to getting forced out, so when he's not, he often just stays until he is. Which usually isn't much longer after Kayneth wakes up, so he's expecting it rather quickly now.]
So I made you breakfast.
[It does look and smell good at least. Moses can cook for himself, after all. He doesn't want to get too comfortable now, knowing Kayneth is probably about five to ten minutes from kicking him out of the house.
Still. He can't help but move in and kiss him on the cheek while he's still waking up.]

[He says this as if doubting that this "breakfast" is actually a valid meal. Of course, Moses would make something disgustingly fatty. Even if it does smell good. Nonetheless, he doesn't push Moses away when he kisses him, although he does make an annoyed noise.]

[An annoyed sound. He was expecting it. Honestly, did Kayneth have any fondness for him at this point? Made him wonder why he kept coming back. Probably to keep him from spreading shit to someone about it.

[This is the problem with normal human sleep; he's not as completely sharp as he could be when he wakes up. Moses waltzing out unprotected would be a bit obvious, although he could surely explain that away somehow. Well, he can get rid of him a little later. It won't be the end of the world.]

It's a bit heavy, that's all. For the first thing in the morning. I suppose it's all right for someone like you...

[He grins and looks at the meal again. He really though he'd done something right... wait, hey! Is Kayneth calling him fat or something? He grumbles a bit, and looks at the meal.]

[That's the thing with Moses that Kayneth probably didn't realize. He wasn't going to complain about being told that the man didn't want his food. Frankly, he'd like to make his time here last longer. So why not ask him what he wants?]

[As much as he knows he shouldn't do this, it is better to do it with an ordinary human than another mage—because other mages can't be trusted. He can manipulate a human much more easily, so he has more control over the secret. He could even destroy Moses' memories. That wouldn't be too difficult. Then there won't be anyone who knows about this period of weakness.
Well, maybe he'll do that once he's married.]

[Because he is (perhaps unfairly) assuming that Moses made a mess.]

[Which wasn't false. Kayneth wasn't tempermental. Rather he just wanted Moses to stay hidden so he didn't ruin his career. And Moses wasn't happy... but he liked Kayneth enough to make it work.]

[Well, that was unexpected. Really. He wasn't expecting cleanliness from Moses. But he doesn't doubt him when he says it. Moses doesn't exactly lie to him much. He's not that subtle. Far from it. [He would be extremely pissed about that. But he is a little mollified by Moses' willingness to do as he asks. It's not as if he doesn't enjoy their little liaison. He wouldn't do it otherwise. The problem is that it's absolutely inconvenient and impossible for him in every way.]
Very well. If you're going to insist on it. Toast sounds fine. I like it well-done, but not burnt. And perhaps some fruit. Thinly sliced.
[Unsurprisingly, Kayneth is very picky about his food.]

[Moses is kind of upset that it seems convenient for him whenever he wants to get laid. Moses can't even talk about it because he's sure Kayneth would dispose of him if he even brought it up to someone.]

[Fine. Honestly, though the food Moses brought up isn't to his taste, he has to admit that it doesn't look bad. It smells decent enough.]

[He can appreciate Moses' attempts to please him, in a way. He does like it when people go out of their way to accommodate him. He can't deny that it makes him feel desired and attractive—but he's not about to share that thought with Moses.]
