Worthy in their Eyes


You're not overly proud of yourself; more than anything, you're ashamed. Of the way you look, of the way you act, of your origin, of your past and what you've done, of who you are. Why would anyone want to be around you? Even if they did, they wouldn't understand who you really are. It's easier to just stay away and not get close to anyone.

Then, the one person comes into your life and suddenly, that all changes. They get you, and something that simple makes the tides turn. You're not so ashamed. You can be around them comfortably. Finally, you feel...worthy.

That alone makes you want them more than anything. Still, the thought of losing them by making a move and ruining all you have is bracing. Will you risk it all to see if maybe, just maybe, they could love you.

And if you do, what lengths will you go through to protect this relationship?

[He's seen how he's been for awhile. It hasn't been that long since the two were introduced by the other Scions and he can't help but place a finger on why the rogue stayed rather quiet. Nor did he have a chance to ask when the group had to go on a mission and leave Ishgard for awhile. And while his place was at the head and de facto leader, sometimes Aymeric was not known to make the best decisions out there.

For example, deciding to head out of the safety of the city and into Dravania towards Tailfeather. Disguised in the garb of a simple adventurer, he took a chocobo as far as it could fly towards the hunting village. And if anyone dared call him a fool for it..well, he wouldn't deny it. He could've left Thancred's welfare to the Warrior of Light or Alphinaud but something was telling him to step out and follow. He was lucky for the cloak because it started to thunderstorm as he gripped it tight, heading straight to the village entrance.

Now...there should be a place where they would be staying for the night...]

[Thancred had been lost in his thoughts while travelling to Tailfeather. Mostly over the past, like normal. Telling his chocobo to follow the others, he'd spent most of the ride just thinking over things, including Aymeric.

He couldn't ignore the fact that he was attracted to the man, but he couldn't act on it either. He wasn't exactly the type of man who should even stand in the same room as Aymeric, much less share a bed with him.

The Warror of Light and Alphinaud had gone in to speak with the leader of Tailfeather, so he remained outside, tending to the chocobos they'd brought with them. He figured it was better if he just stayed out of things, this time.]

[Well, this made it much easier. Instead of having to find the man, he ended up going to Aymeric as he let the chocobokeep take the reins of his bird. And he can't help but speak up, still in his cloak.]
