"Adopted" Sibling or Child Meme

They say blood is thicker than water. Family is everything. But what about the family you choose, the ones that aren't necessarily bound to you by shared blood? Sometimes, they can be closer than anyone you're just related to through chance. You chose them, after all!
This person in particular is someone you're closer to than almost anyone; it's more than friendship, it's darn near familiar. No, more than darn near, it is familial. They may be younger than you, maybe even by a considerable margin, but they may not be. They could just seem that way, in their innocence or vulnerability. You want to protect them more than anything, keep them close, and spend time with them so their life can be improved by whatever you can do.
Officially or unofficially, you've adopted them as your own. Your family, with you as an older sibling or parent figure. This could make things better for them...or worse.
❤ Comment with your character info and the ilk. Be sure to include whether or not your character is more likely to be the adopter or the adoptee. Or both, I don't mind. No judgement here.
❤ Reply to others.
❤ Cute familial fluff, even for the darkest of characters and canons. If Murder: The Anime can do it, so can you!

Jim had tried ignoring Pandora's enthusiastic requests to visit the local fairgrounds. It was outdoors in the sun, full of ordinary people bleating inane things to each other, getting in the way of anything worth doing. All of his cranky looks and curmudgeonly complaining might have been enough to convince anyone else to leave him alone, but somehow the Young Girl was immune to all of that.
"Do you see the way the ping-pong ball tossing booth is oriented? The breeze is perpendicular to the path between players and targets. Unlike many of the other booths, there are no side or back walls on the stall."
Jim managed to find ways to keep himself amused after all.

It wasn't quite that the preceding events had been wiped away, exactly. Jack was getting more careful distance than he had since they met, and she sometimes flinched if he moved too quickly. Her mind was still having trouble separating events. But there was no silence today.
In sharp contrast, Pandora practically bounced next to Jim, rising up periodically on her toes for a better look at things. "Jack could do it," she decides rather firmly. There's a nod, like she'd come to a conclusion. "I'm sure he could account for the difference."
no subject
"Of course." Not a single doubt in his mind. He lazily watched the crowd around them. "So could you," using her abilities.
no subject
"Ping pong balls are terrible projectiles. Way too light, way too much drag. Sure, it's a very short distance, but once it leaves your hand there's nothing you can do to adjust the trajectory."
The little remonstrance/lecture was meant entirely for the child they were with, even though he was addressing Jack directly. Pandora would find the task all the simpler because of the large volume, lightweight object involved. If something could be moved across a table with a well-aimed puff of breath, it wouldn't require much of her pushing force at all.

Peter Parker/Spider-Man | Marvel 1610 (Ultimate Spider-Man) | OTA
almost tagged u with murderdock oops
[ It's no secret that Daredevil and Spider-Man team up plenty-- though most bad guys are unconscious for the part where Matt scolds him for being out on a school night. Here's a rare treat, though. While it's definitely past Peter's suggested bedtime, Matt is out roughing up a few thugs and maybe he could use some help? A weapons' bust should go smoother than this... ]
omg how dare <3
Plus, post-victory scolding aside, Spidey's pretty sure that Daredevil appreciates getting helped out of the
manyoccasional tight spot.So in he goes. With an altogether too cheerful-] Is this a private fight, or d'you mind me swingin' in?
[He dives in, webbing up the arms of a thug that had been approaching Daredevil from behind, and quickly takes his place at the older man's side.] Methinks you're a tad outnumbered here, DD.
that would be a very different kind of big bro
What are you doing here, Spider-Man? [ He still can't stand that the papers went with that. "Man," like he isn't the bratty kid who tried to sneak in extra reading time before bed when his there's a new Percy Jackson or whatever. ] These aren't purse-snatchers, in case you couldn't tell.
[ That's code for: you're too young to take on criminal syndicates, Peter. ]
peter could handle. ..............probably.
but then he'd have an evil influence in his life and be anti-spidey
...... >D
Well if you ever want no-morals Pete, you let me know
i always want no-morals Pete >3
we should plan this :30 (phone tag means you're getting Netflix Matt, srry)

It was late on a weekday night. Everything in the neighborhood was quiet. Too quiet... There was a flash of red across the sky, followed by a lot of loud profanity. Which was very shortly punctuated by a body crashing through Peter's window and landing in a lump in the middle of his room.]
....I meant to do that.
no subject
Really, he should've known better.
Since Deadpool no longer seemed to register as a "threat", his spider-sense had failed to alert him that something was about to come careening loudly through his window. So when it does, Peter jumps - or, more accurately, flips - onto the wall over his bed, headphones still on, eyes wide as he stuck there in an alert position... Only to relax slightly an instant later, heaving a weary sigh as he reached up to pull the headphones back.]
Dude. Seriously. I can only get away with saying a baseball shattered the window so many times before it starts getting super weird and people ask like, a million questions.
no subject
He shifts around, bones clicking back into place, to face Peter.]
I do keep telling you to leave it open. I was aiming for the bottom half.
[Or, at least, he had been until he realized he had misjudged the distance drastically.]
What're you doing? Wait, no, it doesn't matter. We're gonna watch a movie.
[He's now furiously digging through his suit, trying to find the dvd he'd had with him when he left his house.]
