Not everyone has the luxury of letting their romance be public. So you've had to keep everything subdued, secret, maybe even behind closed door. Of course, you may just enjoy the cloak and dagger of it all that comes with sneaking around with each other.

"And we're hidin' this from them why?" Jet asks dryly, following a step behind Kobra. One hand is at the gun on his hip, the other is failing to push the unruly curls from his face. He's kept mostly quiet since Kobra pulled him away on a 'run', but the question has been nagging at him. It's not like secrets ever stayed secret in their group for long.

"You really get excited from sneakin' around like kids?"

"Am a Kid." Kobra grins back at him. Look, he made a funny! "'Sides you know how Party gets."

That isn't to say that Party really pushes his nose too far into Kobra's sex life, but this is different. Jet's not some random runner, fresh off the high of leaving Bat City and looking for a warm body to take the edge off. This feels too raw. It's a vulnerability to actually touch someone he cares about and that's not something he's ready to really face head-on.

"Don't need to get 'em involved."

"Sometimes I think you chose the name just for the jokes," he says with a snort.

He does get it. It's not something he wants to talk about either, the difference of flings, fun and something with weight. He doesn't fear the discussion that may come with Party; they're all so close he can't imagine potential issues, if there were any, to last long. But he won't step over the boundaries of the brothers. If Kobra truly didn't want Party to know, Jet could let him lead.

"I wasn't plannin' on them being involved. I'm not that adventurous," Jet quips, going for the joke as a way to let that conversation drop. They could deal with explaining whatever this was when it came to it, when Kobra was more comfortable and Jet had figured out what speech he'd give in response to Party's raving.

"Where are you takin' me, anyway? I don't wanna be scrapin' sand out of my shorts if we're stickin' to the dunes."

Party's an excuse. Kobra can admit that to himself, even if he really isn't ready to say so out loud. It's just that if they tell the others, it becomes a little too real for Kobra. This is all already so far out of his comfort zone, but now that he knows he can have it, he definitely wants to keep it, even if it's just these secret little moments.

"When's the last time you didn't have sand in your shorts?" He smirks back, but heads for the rock formation he'd parked them near. "Takin' you someplace nice and fancy."

Jet can't remember a time when he wasn't covered in sand, finding it in the car, in sleeping bags, in boots. Not since before he came to the Zones. "Doesn't mean I want to add to the collection," he mutters, no real annoyance in his words.

The complaints are lip service, just a way to fill the air. He'd follow Kobra out behind a dune, if asked. Jet's pretty sure the other must realize that by now, that he's not nearly as picky as he likes to pretend.

He glances over the formation, shrugging a shoulder. He's been to worst place, he thinks. And at least the rocks will give a little shade for Kobra's pale skin. The last thing Jet wants to deal with is treating sunburn. "And here I didn't dress up."

His smile turns just a little warmer and he reaches back to grab at Jet's wrist. Contact is nice, even when it's platonic, but it's even better when it isn't. Sometimes he likes to just touch Jet to make sure he's still real and vital and alive. He does it to all of them, but it seems especially likely to him that what he's started to find with Jet has no place out here and it might just crumble into dust like everything else.

"'M not complainin' about the view either way." Because he's pretty sure no amount of clothing is going to change how he sees Jet.

[ How do you want to play this? She is coming off of Civil War, but I can play her earlier. It's Murgy btw ]

[ The dynamic is going to be pretty different but that's fine with me. I'll augemnt where I need to but Loki will remain largely ignorant of what happened during civil war since afaik him and thor are probably dealing with other messes in Asgard. ]
