Vincent had ended up in the shelter by accident really. Caught sleeping in a place he ought not to, he was taken in by animal control, cleaned up a bit and given a pen. Unfortunately unicorns, while rare, were known to be high maintenance, so he'd sat in his pen for some time before suddenly he was bought and brought to a new home.

He was a plain black unicorn. He was so plain, he didn't even sport a ring of jewels at the base of his ebony horn. And with his black tufted tail, he'd been mistaken for a donkey several times.

His other half had not been any help at all, perhaps feeling the best way to escape was to be bought. Part of Vincent hoped they'd stay, he was so tired of being a stray, but this new owner didn't have a lick of warmth in him, had hardly even looked at him...The couch the man was laying on had gotten more attention than he had. He'd hoped for a bath, maybe some grooming, hell even a tour of his new home.

Nothing.

He just stood awkwardly in the room, green eyes wandering and taking in what he could.

Then, he spoke, and his long black ears perked at the voice of his new master.

But it wasn't anything he expected. Menus?

He looked around for the table in question, and then to his master.

"O-Okay..." he replied quietly, going over and shuffling through the menus, but not really reading them. He had no appetite and his master hadn't indicated in the slightest what he'd want.
