AU Prompts:

i. Enemy Mine

You may not have gotten off to a good start, but trapped, alone together, in a wild place-- well, there's nothing that brings two people closer than relying on only each other for help and survival, and something has bloomed where the land was thought to be barren. So what if you are from different worlds? This is a new world, and there's no one to say that what you do for pleasure or love is wrong.

ii. Pulp Science Fantasy

After being kidnapped by the horrible Xalgonions of Xon'marx XIII, you prayed for someone to save you-- and someone did, clothing ripped and sweat shining on their skin as they cut down your cruel captors. Swoon! How could one not fall in love with someone so very, very swashbuckling, and who cares if their skin happens to be blue or bioluminescent, or if their weapon was clutched in a tentacle instead of a hand?

Perhaps no rescue came, and you are at the mercy of your cruel and perverse captors. Oh no! What horrible, lewd, awful, terrible things will they do to you? What pornographic use will they put you to? Is the rumor that they have amazing dongs true? There's only one way to find out!

iii. High Nonsense Fantasy

Does anyone care about why the incredibly powerful wizards filling the world haven't just magic'd away all disease with their boundless and eternal power? No, of course not; the really important thing is that elves, dragons, centaurs, and fairies are all real, and they are all willing to bone every other intelligent critter around (though some dragons might have a particular taste for royalty).

iv. Urban Fantasy & Modern Magic

Dating in a modern day and age can be hard; it gets harder if you have to plan around your monthly transformation into a canine, or turn into a mermaid every time your date takes you to the beach, or any other issue that arises from your inhumanity in a city built around human needs. Still, perhaps there's something you can offer because of your magic-tainted condition, instead of in spite of it...

Knowing magic is real, and demons are real, led you to those shelves at the back of the library, where everything has disclaimers that you shouldn't try this at home. But if they didn't want you to try it, then they wouldn't have given directions, right? And so you wound up with a demon, or spirit, or ghost, or some other phantasmal or fantastic being following you everywhere you go-- including the bedroom. (The downside: you can't get the salt from the summoning circle out of your carpet, no matter how much you vacuum. #summonerproblems )

v. Fun Fur Everyone

Animal-people are common-- perhaps everyone is an animal-person, with a cat's ears or logic-defying winghands, with whiskers and fur or scales and frills, and the edges of 'attractive' have shifted to include them all. Oh, sure, there might be humans as well (who are attractive in their own right), but think of all the things that animals can do that humans can't, and all the attributes they might not share, and how exciting it could be to learn something new every day you're with your partner of a different breed...

[When he'd stumbled into this world, he hadn't expected... well. A lot of things here. For one, everything looked like it was ripped out of Final Fantasy or something. For another, having ice-related abilities wasn't weird. He'd paid for his room by cleaning up at card games in the inn, and spent the next day or two buying things to help him blend in - like a cheap set of clothes from this world.]

[But now he's sitting in the inn, drinking a beer and watching the people go past. There's some card games going, but maybe he should ease off for now. No sense in embarrassing everyone each night. Not until he has a backup plan that doesn't end in a bar fight.]

[ Thanks to having been locked up in a distant fortress all his life, not many people know of Prince Corrin of Nohr. Or Hoshido. It allows him, on nights where the dragon blood runs hot and heavy in him, to seek out partners he is not related to, by blood or otherwise, to calm his sexual urges. ]

[ The card games hold little interest to him tonight. The strange man with a different aura sitting over there, however, does. Corrin adjusts his simple shirt and walks over, trying not to look too regal and failing utterly. ]

Good evening.

[Oh? Well this is a surprise. There's something... different about this young man. Something that feels like power, that feels like magic... but he can't figure out what it is. He smiles and nods to him.]

Good evening. And how are you doing tonight?

I'm doing good.

[ He sits opposite the man, carefully, almost on the edge of his seat. Everything about him speaks of barely contained tension. Gods, Niles made it look so easy. ]

I hope you are feeling the same. May I buy you another?

[He laughs a little quietly. Is this guy trying to pick him up?]

If you want. It's not often I get that sort of thing from strangers, though.

[ Yes. Very yes, in fact. Corrin hails the maid to order a beer for the stranger, and none for him. ]

Ah, well, uhm...

[ Congrats! He's flushed red now! WHAT WOULD NILES DO ASIDE FROM INNUENDO. ]

Maybe you should give me your name first, generous stranger. I'm Casper. And you are... ?

[ THINK FAST. ]

I'm... also new around here. I'm glad not to be the only new face in town.

[His eyebrows raise up at that. He's definitely not new in town.]

[Aaand here come the beers.]

[Meanwhile Casper just takes a giant swig... okay that's pretty strong, his system is going to be working a lot to keep him sober. Oh well.]

No, just a traveler. I suppose you could call me a sellsword, though I prefer sightseeing over fighting.

Aah. It's true, with this war, we see a lot of adventurers in search of glory.

[ Ugh, Corrin is so bad at this. He wished he could just ask people if they felt like having a dragon inside them. He had to stop talking about war before he'd start having flashbacks or talk about his royal siblings. ]

Let's hope it will be short and end in peace.

DRAGON INSTALL HER

[There was only so much Charlotte could do to keep up her act. Even with Corrin, habits were hard to break. And with many people so willing to fight for her, it just meant much easier cash in her pockets. Might seem heartless, but gave her plenty of strength to smack any bigger threats easily. Though the enemy was getting wise to her tricks.

Which is why when Corrin got hurt, and she rushed over, the assailant thought he had Charlotte...until Charlotte actually begun to swing a tree trunk in a fury. Even the enemy ran frightened as she crushed the foes easily. They could move fast, sure, but her range was unbelievable.

She panted, scowl ever present on her face. Thank god they were alone, mostly. But even those thoughts were not racing through her head. She knelt down at Corrin's side, already getting out a vunerary.]

Hang in there, alright!? Everything's going to be okay...

[For as hungry as she was for money, and desperately needed it, she wasn't going to ignore the one person okay with her gorilla like strength.]

The dragon's breath was ragged when she knelt by him as he lay on his flank in the grass. "Charlotte..." His voice was deep and distorted by the dragon's throat and vocal chords. Look at him. Commander of armies, dragon, unable to take out a few soldiers with beastkillers. He felt pathetic.

"Charlotte..."

She kept rubbing his head, trying to reassure her lover everything was going to be okay. Of course she was looking for wounds as well.

"You can just answer me if you are okay or not!"

Of course, a bit of her meanstreak was showing too. Processing emotions without hiding them still needed some work.

"It hurts..."

There were several deep gashes in his abdomen, where the soldiers has thrusted their beasts killing weapons into him, lacerating the flesh to ribbons.

...shit, she forgot for a moment big dragon might mean wounds elsewhere. When she found them, she immediately began to mentally panic. It was taking all her nerves to not just scream at what those bastards did to him!

She popped out an elixir, immediately forcing it down the dragon's mouth. These were emergencies only, but a damn vulnery wasn't fixing that mess.

"Just take it all, and relax. Things will be fine, hopefully...or I will break the legs of the person who sold me this!"

Corrin tried to laugh to ease Charlotte's worries, but it only hurt him further, so he gulped the elixir down quietly and waited agonizing seconds before it took effect, knitting the flesh back together.

Saved by the bell.

She moved her head to see the wounds once she emptied the bottle, smiling with tears in her eyes and hugging the dragon boyfriend.

"Phew, scared me there for a minute! Please try to do less of that."

"Will do," Corrin groaned. He was back in one piece, thankfully, but he had lost a lot of blood now spilled on the grass beneath him, making it sticky and gross. Hopefully Charlotte would not mind if he took a minute or two before he'd get back up. "You saved my scaly ass. Thank you."

"Well that's what a girlfriend is for...sorta."

Pretty sure most people don't go around swinging trees though.

"Might need you to work out more though. Much as I like the idea of you getting bigger, it kinda makes you a big target too."

That just means most people aren't as AWESOME as Charlotte.

The dragon chuckled. "You like me bigger, huh? Now you're sounding like Niles."

[goldenbear]

She playfully punches the dragon...which might not have been too soft considering who she was. "Please don't compare me to him. I'm not as perverse or annoying as him."

Oh god that punch hurt more than probably intended. A pained chuckle escaped the dragon. "Okay, just... don't do that."
