Is this even a good idea? Why is their backpack leaking suspicious substances? Go wild. 4. WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST HIT? Dude, I hear deer mess up cars... or I think that was a deer. 5. DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND! Alas, you're the parent or the disgruntled friend who has had it up to here with all the fighting in the back. 6. OMG, I WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS LANDMARK! No, no, and no. You tell that person that they're going to be driven around and they're going to like it. 7. THE GREAT ESCAPE Either dinosaurs or the mothman is chasing you. Don't stop now. 8. MAKE OUT~ You're now parked in one of the make-out points in this town. Did you know? Well, that's up to you, as is what you do next. 9. WE'RE SO LOST The map blew away when you were stupid enough to open the windows earlier. You know that old stereotype about how men never ask for directions but women will? Time to see if you're going to prove it right or not. Try not to fight over it too much, driving partners. 10. BUT OFFICER... Those flashing lights in your rearview mirror? [ It had taken a lot of convincing to get the Avengers to believe he wasn't here for some sort of petty revenge plan, or just to get to Thor (actually, he was trying to avoid his dearest brother) or even just to cause some mayhem. Frankly, he wasn't quite sure what he was doing in a universe where he had no business belonging but accidents, he supposed, would happen when you unraveled the fabric of time to avoid your fate. The sooner he got to some intelligent company - did this universe have a Jane Foster? Maybe she would have some idea how to transport him home - the better. He just wished it didn't have to be in the backseat of a walking time bomb. ]

[Car trips are not Jemma's favorite thing. Some of this is probably because she... does not consider herself a good driver, so even if she's with someone who is she's not entirely sure that's true. (Of course Bobbi is a good driver, she's extremely competent at everything, but still.)

Also, she gets restless. Cars don't really provide opportunity to get up and occupy oneself like, say, being on a plane does.

[roads trips are fun, and doubly fun when you are the owner of an obnoxious gold Lamborghini that makes almost everyone do a double-take. so, when someone he knew wanted to go on a road trip, Jaime was the first to volunteer.]

[unfortunately, no amount of money will save you when you're in the middle of Ass Nowhere, Nevada, in a place so remote that the GPS isn't even showing any roads. was it a bad idea to get off the highway? probably. but enough driving on a perfectly straight highway would make anyone lose their mind, and Jaime, when he had first turned off, had been fairly confident they knew where they were going. alas.]

It's pretty good weather for a road trip, the sun is shining, the temperature is up but not uncomfortably so, and the roads are clear and dry - not that Dick is aware of most of it, because at the moment he's dozing on and off in the passenger seat, one arm hanging out the window and hair getting more sleep and wind mussed by the second.

Until his eyes drift open for a moment and he catches sight of a sign, then suddenly he's awake, sitting up eyes wide and turning to Roy.

"Did you see that?!" he demands, hand waving vaguely towards the sign we just passed "There's a dinosaur park at the next exit. I don't know what a dinosaur park is but I want to find out, let's go see!"

[Levi sits back, relaxing in the passenger seat. He took the first driving shift, now it was Erwin's turn until they decided to stop at some motel for that night. Levi is picky though, Erwin knows this. If the place looks too dark and dank he would all too willfully tell Erwin how shitty the place is-- and that's why they slept in the car last night.

His eyes move, looking at the different things on the dash board but other than that he is still. He stops and stares at the clock. It's 2am. Levi was okay with no sleep, he wasn't sure about Erwin though.]

(she knows she'd been rattling some pretty big cartel cages, but she doesn't know how big just yet. fisk big? she thinks. frank nearly drove out all of the local mobs, maybe the net was being cast wider now.)

Windows down, heavy bass reverberating throughout the car, he watches the needle climb higher and higher, knowing full well that the curves in this road won't be forgiving if his attention wavers.

That's why he almost misses Ronan walking on the side of the road.

His wheels screech as he slams on the breaks more than slows, a slow, devilish grin curving his lips as he pulls up next to Ronan]
