THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME
- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.
- Go to RNG and enter 1-7 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out.
TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!
ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.
ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.
CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!
⑥ Back in School / Graduated → You're suddenly back in school! Or if you were already in it, you've aged and long since graduated!

⑯ Back in time → Somehow, you wound up in the past again. Do you try to correct something or just sit and wait for time to jump? Maybe it jumps to various points in your life or maybe you actually think you're back in the day. Have fun, run wild with the idea!
⑰ To the future → Is it everything you've dreamed? Is it horrible? Whatever happens, you're here to witness what happens to you in the future. Either you take the place of your future self or you're just there to watch. Might cause some confusion if people start seeing double though...

③ Lost → You're lost and you kind of need help finding your way to where you're going. A little help with directions?
④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

Action, War, although open for conversation, plot, and introspection
Pirates, insurrectionists, Covenant remnants, all people loyal to Hargrove had immediately come to his aid, seeking to protect their main supplier to allow him to drive back to the shadows, in a last spiteful attempt to destroy Chorus, and kill the sim troopers that had been a thorn on their side for so long. But the moment they realized who was the second person from the UNSC to come here, Chairman Hargrove began preparing his escape, abandoning all forces still on the ground.
"This is SPARTAN-117." A somber voice came on the radio. "Who's in charge here."
SCREAMING FOREVER.
And they had help, at least, in the form of Freelancers and the Sims troopers, but the new radio message catches her off guard, the designation one she recognizes, even from the limited contact they've had with the outside world and it takes her a moment to respond.
"This is Vanessa Kimball, leader of the Army of the Chorus."

"Requesting a landing zone, and aid ground forces."
From the sky, a small prowler that had gone onto its last legs burning against the sky. the man inside still speaking as if the ship was on expected conditions. For a Spartan, not far off, either.
The burning ship turned heavily towards the battlefield.
"I'm here to relieve Chairman Hargrove of his duties."

" Welcome to Chorus, Master Chief. You got here just in time."

The small corvette, a tiny thing in comparison to the destroyer that suddenly knew the danger it found itself in, now firing everything it had to stop it. Missile solutions, machinegun fire that tore the corvette into swiss cheddar, smoke and fire building up as the ship transformed more into a slag of metal still on the sky by pure miracle.
All to gain the destroyer's attention. The burning corvette flew past the Pelican, in an attempt to grant cover its companions.
"Let's make it count."
The fragile corvette screamed and crashed against the port of the Staff of Charon as if a large missile had speared its side, spewing up smoke and fire as the small ship finally blew itself to pieces, torn apart, leaving a fragment of metal scarred onto the destroyer's hull, burning with a large entry point and missiles that would not be able to fire.
The voice spoke again.
"We have an entrance."

It was more than the rumble over the ship that warned all of Chairman Hargrove's men of what was happening. It was the FOF tag that designed itself as S-117 the moment it appeared on everyone's visors.
Then, to the utter terror of the crew of the Staff of Charon, that it marked itself as an enemy, disappeared from the radar, and three of its soldiers were marked as KIA the moment they registered the tag.
"Tell them to gather near the engine room. Close to the site of the impact, where the last team arrived." The Master Chief came through the smoke, MA5D raised and scanning for threats he took down like mosquitoes. "We'll save them, capture Hargrove, and make an exit."
The last part, read between the lines and with the dangers of Charon Industries trying to sell anything they still carried from the weapons of the planet, meant that they would destroy this ship into a blaze of fire, destroying the threat once and for all. Standard Spartan methodology.

"I'll see you when you land then." Kimball left the channel open and muted her microphone before turning back to overseeing the care and removal of the wounded and the rest of her people back to safety.
Carolina and Wash headed for the engine room, taking out the troops who crossed their path as quickly as they worked their way deeper into the ship.

"Affirmative. One-one-seven, out."
Seven soldiers laid dead in front of the figure that emerged from the fire. He picked an alien weapon that fit and built itself like a tridimensional puzzle to fit his frame, beeping in approval once it took a shape. He blurred through the halls as he analyzed the situation.
A ship filled to the brim with men that would fight to the end, loyal to either Hargrove's person or pockets, all equipped with both human and alien weaponry now that the gloves were off. Now that his freedom depended on the death of every enemy on the ship and the planet, he would hold nothing back so he could escape back to factions benefited by his trade.
To their benefit, the squadrons that had been preparing to breach the door now hesitated. And judging by the furious voices coming from the speakers, they ordered all units to continue their actions no matter what, and send all assault teams to kill the Freelancers, 'their Insurrectionist companions that they had sworn loyalty to in treason against the UNSC', and 'that rampant Spartan' at all costs.
Hargrove had just sent all of his men to their deaths. The raw fury in his voice was only there to hide his terror.
Over there!
Contact! All units fire--
A grenade snapped the sergeant's skull from its spine. The explosion that followed drove the squadrons that had just attempted to flank the Freelancer pair into a panic as they believed there was another group -- just as the seven-feet tall giant in MJOLNIR armor emerged from the smoke, tearing a soldier turning too late to spot him with a kick that tore its ribs into much, and hurled both a Scattershot and a Lightrifle towards the friendly FOF tags.
"Agents!"

Once the room is cleared and then Carolina exhales a breath before glancing back at Wash, checking him over before turning back to the Spartan.
"We're good to go. FILSS is on our side as well so she'll clear the fastest path to Hargrove for us."

The Spartan's back immediately turned on the Agents' flanks the second they wielded their rifle, covering Washington for his weapon, then covering both of their blind spots the moment they both held and fired. All odds that could have benefited the soldiers with the alien weaponry they possessed, it vanished the moment the Freelancers and the Spartan ambushed them with these weapons.
His helmet perked up the moment the blast doors opened to the three of them. Three other soldiers looked like deers in the headlights the moment they did.
"We'll extract her as well." He dispatched the three soldiers with his pistol. He calmly pointed at the glowing engine the entire ship operated on, as he stepped forward, MA5D scanning for threats. "We'll destroy the ship when we return here. Unless you know how to wreck a ship without explosives."

I am afraid that will be impossible, but I can at least be of some use before you finish this. That said, Chairman Hargrove is on the bridge, but the others are in the opposite direction." The voice is clearly female, at least, but doesn't seem bothered by the idea of not being saved.

"She could carry further evidence." The A.I., Epsilon, had practically filled the network with enough files, memos, requisitions, deposits, conversations, and classified data, to indeed never allow him to ever see the light of day, turning other information superfluous.
And yet, he had other reasons, ones that even the psychoanalysts of ONI had learned to be careful about.
"We'll save the sim troopers. And bring down the Chairman."
No 'or'. In the mind of a Spartan, failure was never allowed. He turned to Agent Carolina, "cover our flanks, bounce the shots off the walls for distance. Kill anything coming close to us." Then to Agent Washington. "Fire at the furthest targets, center mass. The weapon is designed for precision the greater the distance."
The doors opened. Dozens of soldiers rose to fire upon the opportunity. The Spartan threw a grenade towards the center of the mass.
"Sprint."
Time began to crawl and race to their eyes. His shields flared with the incoming fire. He charged.
"Enemy sighted--!"
Boom. Blam, blam, blam, blam.
"Requesting reinforcements--"
"Enemy fireteam moving from the engine room towards the classified areas. We need reinforcements right now!"
"Lost contact with Fireteam Charlie! Nu Squadron has been killed! Get some people in here, God damn it!"
"Stop with the fucking Sim Troopers and kill these freaks! We're getting slaughtered down here!"

Chairman Hargrove's brow furrowed. His left palm pressed so hard against his wrist it turned white. Entire hallways had turned bright red, and the squadrons did not have enough time to form an effective defense, and from the data gathered from the SPARTAN-II Program... it wasn't their first time infiltrating ships by a long shot.
One supersoldier had left an alien capital ship carrying dozens of corpses on carts in what was a mere fifteen-minute rescue operation. He may not be able to prevent the three enemies from saving the sim troopers, much less the men in their path. Three, there would be no chance for an effective infantry defense, much less with an A.I. on their side.
But...
He walked over to the communications console, opening a private channel, "mechanized teams," he spoke in a terse voice, "move towards the entrance of the classified area, and prepare an ambush. You are not to fail your mission."
"Sir, what about--"
"Was there something you did not understand about your mission, Lieutenant?"
"No, sir."
"Then go."

And then Epsilon was with her and there was a sense of relief, at least for the moment as she heard his voice, his report.
"They're all still up. No major injuries." It's directed towards Wash more than Master Chief, but she knows he's listening to.
And the Chairman is sending something nasty your way. Tucker and the others are picking off the stragglers and heading this way. Epsilon's voice crackles over the radio.

"We'll push through." Having lived through trap after trap, the Master Chief was somehow unsurprised. "Keep anti-armor weapons at the ready."
"Really." A throaty psychopath replied through the radio, with the FoF tag of a supposed medic, to the Spartan's quizzical rise of his helmet. "I expected you of all people to be more explody from what we've heard. MWHeheheh...."
The signal of the A.I., and the squadron they had come to save, was stable in its entirety. Soon he saw one... two... four, six, eight FoF tags holding on, even pushing through numerous red dots in gunfire he rapidly heard. Soon, the familiar voices of panic came through the hall.
"Contacts."

A detonation shook one of the walls, followed by the sounds of treads. A tank.
At the other side, just as the Spartan cracked a lone soldier's visor with a pistol, were the squadrons engaging in a furious firefight against the heroes of Chorus.

And then the fight is back on, Carolina cutting a swathe through the soldiers in between her and the Reds and Blues, her focus on getting to them and Wash watching her back from the other side.

Other personality rose a thousand red flags in the Master Chief's mind not unlike a minefield. The Freelancer's note on not focusing on it, even when said personality was a blatant disregard of the Hippocratic oath, should have been enough to have him focus on the now.
Should have been. At the moment the intercepted transmission from the A.I. 'Epsilon' had him focused on a greater threat at hand.
One soldier retreated from the hail of gunfire from the hallway. Soon, he was followed by three more that dragged themselves out of the fire in spite of their Commander's orders to hold their ground at all costs -- orders that had long since been jettisoned the moment their ship was boarded on all sides, and tore through their defenses as if they hadn't been there.
That soldier's face turned a pale white upon spotting the three supersoldiers, "additional contacts--"
The Spartan launched him over dozen meters away like a ragdoll. Coming behind the section that had tried to flank the Blood Gulch Fireteams, the soldiers almost seemed to pause their fire for a moment, turning around for a moment from the hallway they fired on...
... seeing the three of them.
"Enemy has flanked us! Open fire! Open fi--

"Snap out of it, Wash!." Maine's armor had caught her off guard as well, but they were clear yet and Carolina only stops when there are no more soldiers, her gaze seeking Epsilon.
Who appears on beside her head a moment later and there's a moment of her shoulders just relaxing at the familiar contact.
Took you long enough. There's enough sarcasm in his tone to cut with a knife and Carolina smiles behind the faceplate of her helmet before turning back to Master Chief.
"...Let's go find the Chairman."
