DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME...?

Sometimes, even though people try their hardest, they just cannot recall a name, a face, more so a memory of something — maybe even someone.

▶ HOW THIS WORKS

1. Post with your character, and whether they are the amnesiac or they're helping the amnesiac.
2. To the forgetful one — what have you forgotten? Your identity, your life? Is this all an act?
3. To the replier... are you a friend, perhaps someone you haven't seen for years? Or an enemy who's decided to use this to their advantage?
4. Have fun, tag around!

Option 1: Amnesiac

[She'd woken up in a hotel room with absolutely no memory of how she'd gotten there, or even who she was. As soon as she'd realized it, she'd completely torn the room apart looking for clues. There weren't many. A single change of clothes, mostly clean, in her size along wit a pair of shoes, quite new. Three different travel documents, all of them hers according to the photos, alternately identifying her as Alissa Carrington (American), Angelica Norton (Canadian), and Genevieve Fourtier (French).

She had dressed quickly and left the hotel room, almost instinctively relieving some businessman in the hotel lobby of his credit card. That had led to a high-end boutique, where the clothes had fit far better than what she'd found, and now she made her way through the streets of London, as if the landscape could jog her memory.]

Option 2: 'Friend' of Amnesiac

[It doesn't really matter why Irene had come, or how she'd heard about this particular case of amnesia. All that matters is that she's here with friendship on her lips and her pale eyes sharp and watchful.

There's advantage to be gained here. The question is merely how.]

experiments aren't without consequences — and with self-surgery, it couldn't be more so. he's discussed this with the team, he's discussed that if this is successful then everything will be so much better. enhancing his own blood with the regeneration solution sounds like an excellent idea, right, right? that way, he wouldn't have to rely on another medic for survival, he can last longer in the field — it's genius.

... of course, murphy's law applies to everything. even to supposed-"full proof" scenarios that the medic has assured and reassured to people over and over again. he'll be fine, he's a doctor! he keeps eight men alive in the battle field. a little surgery wouldn't hurt.

so he thought, that is.

inhale, exhale, inhale — he's fine, right? just a little mess as he leaves the operation room with a little mess ( Oh, doctor, what a bloody mess your clothes are!) all around his uniform. ]

[he's used to medic making quite the mess after any of his experiments. he fully supported it, though, because usually good things happened! usually he was first when it to human experimentation anyway, so he was used to it.

so when heavy sees a rather familiar doctor, he grins, excited to hear the results.]

Doktor, your experiment worked, da?

[There's two very worried yellow eyes peering out of the nearest shadow. Xavier was acting strange.]

Professor? [Nightcrawler asks in his heavily German accented voice]

[ had the doctor remembered, he would greet his comrade with a cheer, and a satisfied smile. instead, he looks, for a moment, confused — who is this man?

he had uniform on, he recognizes that enough, but that face, accent, identity... with a sharp inhale, he gives his team mate ( medic assumes — he's in red, but if he doesn't remember him then he isn't too important, right...? ) a smirk of triumph. ]

Isn't it obvious? If it didn't, I would be as dead as a corpse six feet under! [ the most condescending sigh. ] Useless little things, rotting down there to decompose.

[ a slow shake of his head, he nods once before heading to his office. ]

Now, if there are no more pressing matters, I must inform the rest of the men about this. [ a pause — wait. ] You know where they are, ja? The lockers should be a floor above.

[ clearly he's a new recruit. ]

[As you can imagine, seeing anyone when you have absolutely no recollection of...well, anything, is incredibly alarming.]

Who are you? What are you doing here in-- [Is this his house? It's really big. He certainly doesn't recognize it.] --here?

[Especially someone as scary looking as Kurt. He drops down from the shadows, still watching Charles worriedly]

I am Kurt. [He tries not to sound hurt that Charles seems to have forgotten him] You do not remember? You ask me here.

I did? No. [frowning.] No, I don't.

[The other thing he seems to have forgotten is momentary control of his telepathy.]

Why is it so noisy here?

[He slowly spins around the room, expecting to see someone behind him, or a radio on. Nothing. And yet the noise keeps coming.]

Dear God, what a din.

[Kurt's own pointed ears aren't picking up anything other than the faint sound of someone mowing the lawn outside.]

Are you feeling alright, Professor? Dhere is no noise in here.

[It's getting worse. This time his voice rises as his hands clamp over his ears.]

How can you not hear that? Wait. What did you call me?
