Wedding Night
![]() The Wedding Night Meme a smut/shipping meme |
The wedding bells have rung - or the correct sacrifices have been made, depending on your culture. Whatever the case may be, you're married now, and the night is yours. However, there is one expectation on you: it's time to consummate the marriage. Whether you're in love, in this marriage because it was arranged, or absolutely in hate with your new spouse, you're with them now. Have you two been intimate before this, or is your first time...with them or first time period? Do you know what you want and are you full of lust, or do you have no clue what's going on? Maybe you even have to seduce your partner who wants nothing to do with this!

He can't stop grinning. His face is honestly starting to ache. Not much has changed since yesterday, aside from an intangible legal status as dictated by paperwork, and they love each other just the same as they did yesterday and as much as they will tomorrow. But it's wife next to him now, not his girlfriend or his fiancée. Elena is his wife.
And he's a husband. How about that? It feels pretty damn great.
Starting tomorrow, they'll be off on their official honeymoon, visiting a place that's warm and beautiful and not crawling with pirates—a trip normal people take. But for now it's just the two of them and a really nice hotel. Their bags have already been brought up—they'd better be taken care of, for what they're paying for this place—but Nate stops just outside the room anyway instead of immediately using the key card.]
Wait, wait, wait. Aren't I supposed to carry you over the threshold? Or is that only for where we actually live?

His grin is contagious, but she's feeling just as equally giddy, beaming with happiness and her own matching grin, a flush and glow on her face. They crossed an important hurdle, the two of them. They've come so far, this felt like the right step to take next, after all they've been through together. She'd always imagined herself as someone's wife, getting married, settling down, and now, now she was Nate's wife and she couldn't be any happier.
Elena looks at him with the color high in her cheeks, eyes bright. She just wants to get inside! ]
I think that's for the house. But really, I...don't think that's such a good idea.
no subject
[But he won't, because as fun as the idea is, he'll gladly accede to her opinion on this. Whatever she wants, it's fine by him, and all he wants is to give her everything for the rest of their lives. That's what they promised today, right? To love, honor and cherish one another, 'til death do them part?
Nate doesn't think he's going to have a problem with any of that.]
Okay. But you have to promise to remind me to do it when we go home. I want to get this marriage thing right starting from the beginning.
[In lieu of sweeping Elena off her feet, Nate spins her around so her back is pressed against the door. As he leans in to kiss her, one hand goes around her waist and one hand goes to the key card reader to slide it in.
Smooth, Drake.]
no subject
Instinctively her hands reach for him as he twists her around. One hand curls over the back of his neck and the other grabs at his upper arm. Elena's ready for him when he leans in, already leaning up to meet him for that kissing, wanting it more than anything right now. ]
I was going to say... [ Spoken between kisses, arching forward to feel him pressing against her front. They're married, it's a happy day, and Elena wants all the contact she can get with her new husband. ] I'm probably really heavy with how happy you've made me today. That stuff ain't light. You'd drop me.
[ Her mouth presses harder, kissing him deeply, slowly, not giving him a chance to immediately answer. ]
no subject
I would never drop you. [Not from a bridge, not from his arms.] I don't know what you're talking about, though. I feel pretty much like I'm floating.
[It's a ridiculously sappy admission, but he can make it in front of her, and she can keep his secrets. She is his wife, after all.]
Oh hey. [With his eyes open now, he's suddenly distracted by the hotel suite—which says something about the quality of the place, considering how full his heart and mind are of Elena.] Wow, this place is nice.
no subject
I know. [ He's always been there to catch her, and she trusts him enough to believe it. She trusts him with her life, shown all the times she would jump over a dangerous gap and he would never let her slip. As scary as it was to dangle over a hundred foot drop.
Elena thinks back on those moments and feels the need to kiss him, gently, gratefully. ]
Hm?
[ What's he talking— oh. Oh..! She turns and gasps, brows coming up. Roses, everything set up. It was perfect. Beautiful. It was so perfect that she had a hand to her mouth and couldn't do anything else but stare. And she thought the wedding has been perfect. ]
Nate... You didn't...
[ Twisting around to look at him, awe in her expression, emotion tight in her throat. Dammit. This was too good to be true. She was one lucky gal. ]
no subject
Hey, we only get one wedding night. Might as well make it nice.
[Nate shrugs and gives her a crooked smile, pleased by her reaction even as he tries to play it off casually. He's not a typical romantic—neither of them are a typical anything—but sometimes it makes sense to go back to the basics.]
no subject
[ Elena turns back to him and leans up to loop an arm over the back of his neck, tugging him down to meet her mouth, the last of her words lost in the kiss. ]
You big softie, you're secretly a romantic. I should've known.
[ And she did know. This wasn't the first time he would surprise her with some flowers or a small gift. Or even a big one. ]
no subject
Not that I don't appreciate the sentiment, but it only took a couple of phone calls and a credit card number. I didn't grow the flowers myself or anything.
[He would, if that's what she wanted, but it would be a strange request. Nate doesn't even have experience keeping a cactus alive. Nate presses his forehead against hers and smiles even harder, wondering if every groom feels this way when looking at his bride on their wedding day—like his heart is so full that it feels like it could explode out of his chest, and it would be wonderful instead of gory and horrifying.]
Think this is a pretty good start to the rest of our lives?
no subject
[ Nate isn't alone in the feeling like his heart's about to burst. Elena's looking up at him, hands framing his jaw. He's perfect. It has to show in the way she's looking at him; in awe, in love happy, needing him. Doesn't matter the downs they've gone through over the years, in and out of a relationship, they've gone nowhere but up since and here they are now. ]
What should we look into first?
[ She'd seen that chilled bottle waiting for them when they had entered. It's calling to her, the glasses set out for them already. First, however, she needs to kiss him again, fingers working at the edge of his collar to his tie. ]
no subject
[He chuckles at his own joke and at himself. Well, he is a good-looking guy, and she probably does want him out of his clothes. But she's gorgeous and he wants her undressed too, so they're even there.
But the getting naked part can wait a little longer. They've got all night. Once his tie is gone and he's been successfully kissed a few times, he grabs her hand again and leads her to the table with the roses and champagne.]
Come on. Might as well enjoy this. [He pours them both a glass, then lifts his in a toasting position, looking inexplicably shy all of a sudden.] To you and me being Mr. and Mrs?
no subject
Elena takes up her glass and lifts it, ready to clink the two together. ]
To you and me. And to you being pretty hot and being all mine.
[ Clink! ]
no subject
The champagne is great, but his insides already feel full of bubbles and he's already a little drunk on her presence. Even as they enjoy their drinks, he can't help but be close to her, fingers skimming over her dress. She's so beautiful.]
Did I ever tell you how glad I am that I conned your show into funding our expedition?
no subject
I think I remember it once or twice already. How about me chasing after you when you ditched me on the dock?
[ Elena steps in closer to brush his legs with the long skirt of her dress, material sliding quietly together. ]
Our 'first date', technically.
I'm not sorry for this tag
I regretted it a lot for about five seconds after you punched me, but you've made up for it since then.
[He laughs and slings an arm around her waist, pulling her against him.]
If you consider that our first date and came back for a second one, that explains a lot about how I won you over. You were already crazy.
why would you be sorry, never be sorry
I was crazy the first second I let myself get conned by you. How I thought that was such a good idea, I still don't know. As for the second date, well, I think that was a fluke.
[ It doesn't take much for her to get the first button of his shirt undone, one-handed, opening his collar a bit. ]
because dramatic irony hurts us even if the characters are unaware
[It would also have made him a little more identifiable than he'd like to be, but hey. It all worked out in the end. He angles his chest toward her hand, helpfully allowing her easier access.]
And if the second date was a fluke, what do you call the third, and all the ones that came after?
True that
