You're sick.  You're dying.  You're gasping out your last breath.
Or maybe you just have a killer papercut.  Either way, you need comfort and you need it stat.

ADVANCED VERSION

1. Choose a scenario and write out the initial tag.
2.  Others respond to your scenario.

Level 1 - you're barely injured.
Maybe you partied really hard last night and are now suffering from the hangover from hell.  Maybe you have the dreaded mancold.  Maybe you banged your knee on the coffee table and it really really hurts!  And maybe you're milking this minor injury for all it's worth.
Conversely, maybe someone else is making a mountain out of your molehill and trying to follow you around with cold compresses and an unnecessary amount of bandaids.  Either way, it's not really that serious.  Unless it's a mancold.  Then you might be dying.

Level 2 - you need tlc
A bad fever, a broken arm, exhaustion, chicken pox...there's definitely something wrong with you, but it's nothing that a few nice fluffy pillows, chicken soup, rest, and a loving touch can't cure.  Plus maybe some antibiotics.  I hope you're a good patient, or the road to recovery might take longer than you think.


Level 3 - you need a doctor
Maybe you've been poisoned, or shot, or stabbed in the stomach.  Maybe you've got a concussion and need someone to keep you awake all night.  Maybe you've caught a disease that requires some serious medical intervention.  Maybe you've ignored an illness long enough for it to turn into something truly worrisome.  Either way, you're going to need something more than a fluffy pillow to get through the night.


Level 4 - you're dying
Whether it's from a terminal illness that's winding down to it's end, or sudden massive trauma, you're not long for this world.  Better get your affairs in order and make sure there aren't any regrets before you meet your maker.

That's no real surprise, of course. They had told him he had an average of fifteen years to live after the heart transplant. He'd be lying if he said he thought he was going to even last that long.

He took care of himself, though. ... Mostly. Of course he had his reckless moments, and he'd do something that was entirely detrimental to his health, or something minor like not stay put in his wheelchair or go walking around without a cane like he was supposed to. Some habits were just hard to break, and he hated feeling weak.

But eight years is good enough for him. He's twenty-eight now, and they were good, long years spent with his brother and their own league, and he reconnected with his old friends, he let himself care again - but he knows it's just a matter of time before his heart seizes up for the final time. And no sort of miracle will save him this time. Nothing his brother or friends can do will stave Death's plan to take him away.

He's cheated enough, and he's (mostly) ready. He won't die with regrets.]

[ Eight years. Juudai hadn't even realized it had been that long. He's been on the run for so long, from so many things - Kaibacorp, the Light, various people and monsters he'd managed to piss off over eight years, his past, his own demons - he'd been on the run for so long that he hadn't heard about how Kaiser was doing until it was way too late.

Old habits die hard, though, and it's long after visiting hours are over when Juudai sneaks into Kaiser's room by methods that ensured he wouldn't be noticed by security. Juudai's a little taller, more defined in the shoulders and neck, more lined in the face, and a lot older in the eyes. He looks every inch of the hundreds of miles he's walked since they last met.

Juudai perches on the edge of a nearby chair in a crouch, not even properly sitting. He crosses his arms over his knees. Kaiser looks asleep. He should be asleep, at this hour, sometime between midnight and dawn. Maybe watching his dying friend while he sleeps is a little creepy, but Juudai doesn't want to wake him up. So he sits, hands to his mouth, as if holding in something he wishes he could say. ]

[ the thing is, even though lydia says it's only about dating winners, it isn't. not really. maybe it was in the beginning, because lydia tells herself she deserves nothing but the best and if jackson is the best, then surely he should be on her arm. but over time it becomes something else. maybe love, maybe. lydia doesn't know. but even after, after he dumps her and humiliates her, she still cares.

and that's part of the reason why, when she hears he's sick and missing school, that she goes to his house. she doesn't even bring the notebook, which she used to make him bring whenever she'd been sick. she brings one of those stupid movies he always wanted her to watch, something that will bore her to death but has dennis hopper in it, and some chicken soup she cooked herself.

no one would ever not want to see her, that's what she says to herself as she hesitates outside his room. but even so, her knock is a quiet, tentative thing.

they don't know what's wrong with her, the doctor's have no explanation for the (disease?) thing that's crippling her and leaving her unable to leave the small hospice room she's been placed in.
