The Chase Scene meme

It's that climactic moment! After much tension and suspense, you've done something worthy of being chased. There are people (or simply one person) on your tail and you have to lose them, fast! It could be you stole away into the castle, you sneaky little thief, and stole the crown prince's prized staff, and now he's giving you chase as you race to a safe place where you can lose him and then pawn off that staff to the highest scheming bidder. Or were you that beautiful woman (or man!) who caught a roving god's eye, and now he or she wishes to possess you (yes, that way.) Whatever the case! You are in your heart-pounding chase scene.

How it goes
1. Make a comment, with your character's name and canon in the subject line. That character is being chased through the city, forest, village or what have you.
2. The poster may leave the comment blank (totes chill) but it is preferred that something of a starting scenario be given. Nothing too broad. Just state the basics.
3. The person who responds to that comment now has their character chasing the initial character. Yep. You guys are giving that character you responded to and good ol' chase. How it develops is up to you and the initial poster.
4. The chase scene doesn't have to be nefarious, thievery, or anything sneaky. Maybe it's that wayward husband who has pissed off his moody wife and is now running from a threatened argument (good luck to him when he has to go back home).

[Normally, Sigyn Freyasdotter preferred pilfering goods from the Aesir, or fellow Vanir hoodlums. Nothing too valuable. Some gold coins and perhaps a little trinket or two. She'd started in her child years, and by her teens, she's managed to be able to brush against someone in passing and come away with coins, trinkets, and weapons if she so pleased.

But never, never, had she done something this reckless. Still hardly believing herself, Sigyn sucks in a breath and continues to urge her horse, Dari, into a gallop, leaping over fallen branch and gravelly road. She wonders if the Norn Queen's guards are still giving chase. They'd been adamant on retrieving Sigyn dead or alive (although the Norn Queen supposedly said she preferred dead) with the relic that Sigyn had stolen.

There will be consequences. Not just for her, but for Asgard. In stealing a magical relic from the Norn Queen, Sigyn has inadvertently (and purposefully) caused the rift between the Norns and Aesir to grow. Queen Norn Karnilla would be at Asgard's shinning golden gates with her warrior retinue by the morn. And there would be no breaking of bread.

As she rides on, she feels a dark, deep sense of foreboding.
