[ The Warehouse team usually eats together at the b&b... it's been less of a constant in their lives without Leena, but still something they try to do. Breakfast and briefings. It went ahead today without their newest agent, who Claudia has the luck of taking on his first mission into the field. So here she is, file in hand, hunting down her (hopefully temporary) partner who according to Abigail went out for Waffle House. Denny's is the closest thing around she can think of.

Sure enough, the new guy is sitting in a corner booth. Claudia heads over and slides in across from him, eyeing his plate. ]

Though to be fair, after locking herself in her apartment and avoiding all human contact for four years, most places aren't the most comfortable, for Jessica.

It could be worse. It's not too crowded, and most people seem pretty content at their own tables, not even looking in her direction, and - well, she did have company, but then Flash said he'd be right back and zipped off to take care of...something, which she's guessing means a relatively minor incident that's far enough from where they are that it'd take her longer to catch up than it would for him to take care of it.

She's getting better at the "out taking part in the real world" thing, but it's still a little jarring to be suddenly bereft of her backup.

So she's shrunk back into the farthest corner of her booth, and her attention is alternating between furtive, wary looks at the rest of the restaurant and stoically staring down her pancakes. She does not look like she wants to be here.

At least the ring has mostly shut up. ]
