-Okay so you're sitting around a sweet-ass bonfire in the countryside
-or on a beach
-or under the fucking water for all I care, fuck science, it's your choice
-There's probably like, s'more making or hotdog roasting too, who the fuck cares
-And cheesy sing-a-long songs
-And possibly even underwear burning or like throwing random things into the fire
-Or even dancing naked around it like the satanic witches you are.
-Since y'all are suckers for romance the bonfire is pretty fucking romantic
-It can also be pretty fucking platonic because let's face it sometimes you want to do shit with friends
-Just roll with the scenario, have fun, and enjoy the fucking bonfire because it really looks fucking awesome!

[ While Illya isn't always in the habit of making fires (the bonfire kind, not making things explode), he thinks this one isn't too bad. For one, it's on a beach. Getting water and sand to douse the thing won't be a problem. For two, it's on a beach and neither he nor Solo are currently getting shot at. (This is probably more important than access to dousing materials, tbh.) And finally, beaches generally mean close proximity to food. There's a pier nearby, which he took full advantage of for a couple of hours, leaving his partner to sulk or grumble, or whatever it is that people accustomed to five star hotels and room service do when deprived of both.

But, because he's not a complete monster, Illya has refrained from making anyone eat recently caught fish (he tossed every single one back after catching). Instead, he purchased sandwiches and drinks from a vendor. It's as close to room service as Solo is likely to get. ]

[Truthfully Rinkah didn't really have any preference where she sat. She wasn't a very sociable person, but she had been trying to get better. Maybe sitting next to someone she didn't really know all that well in the army would help, but whatever seat was open would be fine. Like the one next to Soliel. Of course, while she had no problem sitting next to the other woman, that giant sack of marshmallows was a different story. Hence why every now and again Soliel might hear a "hmmm" coming from the flame tribe princess, or notice a mildly uncomfortable expression.

Mostly because she's trying to figure out how to ask if Soliel would be willing to share those sweets, without actually making it seem like she wants any. Damn her infernal sweat tooth.]

[Today had been a good day and there hadn't been a whole lot of those lately, North had to admit. The team had dispersed for the most part during the course of their shore leave and most headed for the twinkling attraction of the nearby city. And while North was tempted, he was also aware of the innocent AI nestled up in his cerebral cortex and God only knew what would happen if he tried to go out and get drunk with the rest of the guys.

So he'd begged off with a smile and even withstood South's 'good'-natured teasing about him being a pussy. Theta was babbling away cheerfully at the back of his head about what kind of fun they were going to have. It had been the AI's suggestion that had had North throwing the ingredients for s'mores into the basket while he and Carolina had shopped for lunch for the impromptu Freelancer barbecue. South had rolled her eyes when she'd spotted the graham crackers and the chocolate bars sitting in a bag because she'd recognized her twins handiwork anywhere. The fact that the others hadn't exactly stuck around for s'mores afterwards didn't particularly surprise North though he sensed Theta was disappointed.]

It's okay, just means more for us, Theta. [He murmured to the AI as he tossed a new log on the fire to keep it going. Sparks flew upwards and the coals glowed sullenly inside the fire pit they had set up to contain the campfire.]
