What will happen when you pull a card from this stack?
Take chance and see!
How to play:
1. Post with your character and fandom (and preferences) in the subject line
3. Roll the RNG. And since it is a meme about fortune, it might be best to actually roll it instead of pick. But it’s not required.
3. Go crazy! But watch your fate in the cards.
Major Arcana Tarot Meme.
0. The Fool: Starting on a journey. Doing something foolish and taking it on faith that it will turn out alright. Whether or not it does is up in the air. This is the beginning of something new. You’re going on a journey and you don’t know what’s out there. But don’t worry, it’ll be fine.
1. The Magician: Tricksters and Shysters, this is their card. It’s also the card that embodies the you can do anything, might as well show the world what you’ve got spirit. What you will and what you desire are all obtainable.
2. The High Priestess: Choice: Two roads diverge and which one do you want to take? One is bad and one good, but it’s hard to tell which is which.
3 The Empress: Abundance and fertility. Be fruitful and multiply. Or at least, go at it.
4. The Emperor: Responsibility. It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it.
5. The Hierophant: Seeking guidance. Find that mentor figure. Learn something new or figuring out how to do something out that you couldn’t do before.
6. The Lovers: Confusion. Indecision. Id, Ego and Super-Ego. Making a choice between love and the rest of the world.
7. The Chariot: Drive and getting things done. Also opposites attract. Probably they’re driven together. In any case time waits for no one.
8. Strength: Strength to win. Power and control. Overcoming passions. Taming the wild beast. .
9. The Hermit: Introspection. Taking time to think about problems. A wise and inspirational friend who can help you work things out.
10. The Wheel of Fortune: Change in fortune. Action. Luck. Not good luck mind you, but luck.
11. Justice: Cause and effect. Well something’s either coming back to bite you in the ass your give you flowers. Karma’s a bitch sometimes. Unless you’ve been really good to someone then you’ll be quite happen with your return. Otherwise, maybe you should be nicer to people the next time around.
12. The Hanged Man: Acceptance of Reversals. Something about your life isn’t that great, but you have to put on a smile, grit your teeth and deal with it anyway. Make lemonade out of lemons.
13. Death: Rebirth. Not quite reincarnation - though that would be entertaining. Instead you’re restarting. Everything is behind you. That bad relationship? That evil boss? Gone. Start something new. Begin again. The past is the past. Try something different. Or come back as a honey badger.
14. Temperance: Balancing You’ve got two things going on and you need to keep them on the level. Job and love? Two girl/boy/girl and boy friends? If you don’t keep it on an even keel you’re going to get screwed up so badly it’s not even funny. Better hope you can walk that line...
15. The Devil: Emotions. All those nasty thoughts, the feelings you felt when someone said something you didn’t like, they get said because the brain to mouth filter has turned off. . The biting your tongue when someone said something stupid? That filter between your brain and your mouth? Gone. You’re angry. You’re tired. You’re frustrated and you’re going to speak your mind. Damn be the consequences (until you sober up and realize what the fuck you said...)
16. The Tower: Catastrophic Events. Something unexpected has happened and it’s not good. It’s worse than not good. It’s down right hideously awful, and then even worse.
17. The Star: Knowledge given. Go and find yourself a student Obi-Wan. It’s time you taught what you know.
18. The Moon: Watch motives. Yes. They are out to get you. Insanity darkness and yet genius and creativity. Mad Scientists and Trust No One. It’s not Paranoia if there really is a flesh eating demon waiting to eat you.
19. The Sun: Growth, Reward, Truth and progress. It’s all good. Everything is wonderful, sunshine and daisies. Go and share it with others. You know the truth. You know what is going to happen and it’s great. Party. Go on a date. Be happy and spread it.
20. Judgement: Atonement. Repent and forgive. Or ask someone for forgiveness.
21. The World: Attainment. You’ve got it. Everything you’ve always wanted, is there in your hands. The girl. The house. The 3.5 kids. But is it really what you wanted? Are you really happy? You think you are. And it does feel like it. But... maybe... somewhere inside of you, you’re not.

By the time he's notched his bow and drawn back, two of them are out of sight, probably drawn away by his partner. Clint picks off the last three and then slides back down to the ground. Hopefully Romanov can take out the other two on her own in the meantime.]

Intel's good. Let's go.
I don't even know if these are horrible tactics or not LOL
Didn't see anyone else coming. But I've got a feeling they're expecting us. We should separate a bit, get some distance between us and split their focus.
fuck tactics we do what we want haha
does this make Nat Gimli?
Remember, Romanov-- this isn't a contest.
I do believe it does
As long as he doesn't have to toast her
Of which there aren't as many as he expected, considering that first wave seemed to strike out straight for them. It's almost too quiet, and that unsettles him.
By the time he makes it to what looks like the base camp he's pretty sure there's an ambush planned.]
pffft
she crouches low in the brush, watching for Clint. only when she spots him does she pause, take a deep breath, then dive out to draw any ambush away from him and toward her
apparently it works, because she's being fired on. today is wonderful]
He's mad at you Nat
So he stifles the reaction to shout something stupid like "Romanov! No!" That would make a stupid move even more pointless. He'll just have to grit his teeth, keep his head down, and trust she can handle herself out there. Still, he occasionally picks off the odd assailant, unable to keep from watching her back while he snakes around the perimeter to the main building. It's some quick, efficient set-up that looks halfway between a house and a tent, and that's precisely where their source is holed up. According to intel.]
who could ever be mad at this face
Natasha takes out another guard, just barely dodging another bullet, looking around for Clint to see if he's made it to the source and taken it out yet or not]
...That face specifically? >.>
The source is a small child.
He blinks as if that's going to change things, standing there dumbly for a second before coming to a decision. Without a word Clint bundles the kid up in a nearby blanket and carries him out of the tent.
Where, it seems, Romanov's taken on more than she can chew. He signals her as best he can. Fight's over, Romanov. Time to get out of here.]
this face *especially*
Well, that one maybe.
Watch the kid.
[He'll catch hell for that one.]
no subject
Well. Intel didn't tell us that.
[but she crouches next to the kid, guns ready, one eye on the boy and another looking for any stragglers Clint might miss]

[And when they get back to base Coulson's gonna get an earful. But right now Barton's concentrating on taking out the remaining targets, one by one, the arrow hits occasionally augmented by the firing of a pistol. But there's too many of them, and after what feels like a lifetime of battle he ducks behind the tree, taking a breather.]
They're just gonna keep coming. We've got to make it to the extraction point.
[So far the kid's been silent, as far as Clint can tell, so he nods in his direction.]
How's he doing?
no subject
[it's a bit freaky, if she's honest with herself, and focusing on extraction is far preferable]
It's a mile and a half to where we need to go. I say we steal a car. There's three jeeps behind the bunker; if we can get there, we should be fine.
no subject
Let's do it. [The kid's light, but it's still hard to fight and carry him around. And then there's Romanov's injuries. He doesn't know how much further she can run. Clint removes the blanket from around the kid's shoulders and starts bundling it up.]
Get to the road with him. This time I'll be the distraction.

The first line begins to fan out, moving away from Romanov and further into the woods. Barton gives them a second of silent bewilderment before he begins taking them out, nestled in the branches and out of the direct line of sight.]
no subject
thirty seconds, Barton]
no subject
By the time he reaches the Jeep he's bleeding freely from several scratches and just the tiniest bit singed, but otherwise doing okay. And with a few seconds to spare. He clambers into the backseat.]
no subject
Welcome back, Barton.
no subject
Nice. A little dramatic, but...
[Hey, he's not going to complain. Barton turns his attention to the child in the seat next to her, leaning forward to buckle the kid's seatbelt. Still not a sound from him. He's beginning to think the kid might be mute.]
He do anything interesting while I was gone?
no subject
[she glances down at the kid, then back to the road, frowning]
Nothing. What do you think they wanted with him?
no subject
I dunno, but he must have been pretty important to their plans. They'll figure it out back at base.
