At first, Stiles had thought that Danny must be kidding. But then, he thought, what if Danny had only said that he was kidding because he thought Stiles would turn him down? What if he was serious, and Stiles had just trampled right over his feelings like an ass--and Danny had retracted his offer to save them any further embarrassment?

And why was he getting so flustered about it, anyway? Did he really want to know the answer to that question? Yes. Yes, he did.

So, after arguing with himself for god knows how long, he showed up at Danny's place with a of Twizzlers for a bouquet, and looking sheepish.

"Is it too late to apologize for being an ass?"

Being a teenager wasn't easy with all those hormones floating about. Especially those having to do with sex. Which was why he couldn't rationalise why he took Stiles up on his offer. It was a spur of the moment. But obviously he had been incorrect. It had been easy to play it off as a joke then.

Not so much now that Stiles was here.

He looked from the Twizzler bonquet to Stikes and then back again. He couldn't help but smiling and shaking his head in disbelief. Really now.

"Never too late for that but what in the world are you carrying?" He questioned amused.

"A peace offering?" Stiles stuffed the Twizzlers back into the bag from whence they had come, wrapping the whole thing up inside the plastic shopping bag he'd carried from the store as if to hide the evidence of his poor life choices. He may or may not have already eaten a few of the Twizzlers on his way over. "Or, alternatively, snacks. For later."

He knew it wasn't like they were a couple, or anything, but he wasn't about to admit that he hadn't the faintest clue what the protocol was here. Just in case it wasn't already obvious that he'd never done anything like this before.

And he was probably just making things worse. He offered the bag to Danny all the same. "Sorry?"

"Later?" He asked and raised his eyebrows. He'd however aceept the offered bag. He wondered why Stiles felt the need to apologize though. After all Stiles was the one who had accused him of "not being very attractive about it".

"Appology aceepted. Although I don't think you need to apologize for anything," he commented and leaned against the door frame. He gave Stikes an observering look as he processed what was happening. Stiles had obviously take his time with this and he'd seemed nervous. But he didn't want to jump to any conclusions yet.

Stiles did a lot of things he probably shouldn't. Deflecting emotions that he didn't know how to deal with was one of them. He didn't want to add 'never being able to admit when he was wrong' to that list.

"I do," he said, "I was caught off guard, and I acted like an ass, and I apologize." He knew that he was probably going to start babbling, once the words started to come out, but better that than chicken out entirely. "I don't really know where I'm going with this, or where this is going to go, so I'm just kind of winging it. How am I doing so far?"

"Well you're still making sense so I'd say you're doing great," Danny replied and flashed Stiles a smile. He knew how it was to be different from others and struggle with feelings you didn't want to voice. Sure maybe he had been a bit forward. But he didn't feel as if Stiles had been quite an asshole. But then again he hung around with Jackson after all.

"You wanna come in?" he then asked.

Maybe not an asshole. Just a little bit of a dumbass. But Danny was still talking to him, so it was all good. Right? "Yeah," he said after a moment. "Yeah, I think I'd like that."

"Alright, welcome in then," Danny responded and stepped aside to allow Stiles entry. He had a twig of nervousness in his chest. He wasn't sure where this was going but he hoped it would be good.

"Thanks," said Stiles, as he stepped inside and moved out of the way so that Danny could shut the door behind him. He was nervous, too, but also excited, and definitely curious to find out what might happen.

He'd just have to follow Danny's lead, and try not to mess it all up.

"Should I get you something to drink?" Danny asked as he closed the door behind them.

Stiles wandered a lttle farther into the house, but not too far. It was Danny's house, and he didn't want to be rude. "Sure," he said, nervously rubbing his hands on his jeans. "I mean, if it's not any trouble." His throat was feeling a little dry, from all anticipation.

"And... thanks. For being so understanding."

"It's no trouble and don't worry, I'm used to rejection by now," Danny said and headed into the kitchen. He walked over to the fridge and looked through it. He found some bottled water, beer and some Coca Cola. He didn't dare touch the beer, knowing full well that his dad counted his beers every time. "What you want, water or coke?" he shouted over his shoulder in the direction of Stiles.

"Coke is good." He wandered after Danny, watching him from the doorway as he rummaged through the fridge. It probably wasn't much of a secret that Stiles was curious. This was just the closest he had ever gotten to acting on that curiosity. "I mean, it's not like we were going to go right to sleep anyway, right?"

"I'm no tired," Danny responds and turned to Stiles. He handed over the can of Coke and watched Stiles. "So you came here to apologize. Now what?" He asked and leaned in just a little bit closer.

At this point, Stiles was too worked up to sleep, though his anxiety was beginning to lessen. It was hard to stay worried when Danny was being so nice.

"Now," Stiles echoed, taking a deep breath as Danny leaned in. He was determined not to let his nerves get the best of him, so he went on, "Now I'm gonna try and make it up to you."

He was terrible at flirting, even with girls, but he hoped that he could get the idea across as he leaned toward Danny a little more. Hopefully Danny's experience would pick up where Stiles' key off.

He was starting to get the distinct feeling that what Stiles had said earlier was mire deflection than actual rejection. He considered that perhaps Stiles wanted more so he leaned in and gently pressed his lips against Stiles in a soft kiss. He tried to restrain himself though, halfly believing Stiles would flip and push him away,

Stiles didn't push him away. He only hesitated for a second while his body and brain caught up with themselves, and then his hands found their way to Danny's shoulders as he eagerly returned the kiss. He might not be the most practiced, but he was at least reasonably confident that he could get the kissing part right.

Feeling that Stiles didn't pull away, Danny got more confident. His hand found it way to Stiles neck. He gently caresses Stiles as he deepened the kiss and gently pulled them closer together. He was going to take this slow because Stiles was a virgin. He didn't want to rush it.

His coke was forgotten on the counter as Stiles leaned into Danny, parting his lips to welcome the deepening kiss. His fingers combed through the short hair at the back of Danny's head, idly massaging his scalp. Slow was good. He was okay with building up to things gradually, but this was nice. This was definitely nice.

He took his time to explore Stiles mouth and gently caress him. Slow but steady, making sure Stiles was comfortable. After a bit he broke the kiss and smiled wryly back at Stiles. "So that's why you showed up?" he commented.

"Yeah," Stiles admited, his face turning a little bit red. "Well, that and to apologize in person. But mostly that." He grinned. Danny was a good guy. Stules trusted him.

And he liked kissing, so...win?

"Would you tell me if I was had at it?"

"It was a really nice apology," Danny responded with a cheeky smile. He then placed his hand on Stiles cheek and looked into his eyes. "For someone who had never kissed a guy before I think you were just fine. You didn't even slob all over my face," he added.

Stiles looked back at Danny, his smile showing his relief, and a little humor. It was nice to get to know his teammate a little better. "Well, I've kissed a girl," he said, laughing, "I figured it can't be that much different. Lips, hands, faces..."

Slobbering was only cute it there were puppies involved, and only to a point.

Stiles grinned. "I wouldn't mind getting in a bit more practice, though."

"It's basically the same organ with the addition of possible stubble," he answered. Picking up on Stiles cue. He leaned in once again. He gently brushed his lips against Stiles and captured those soft lips once again.

Well, yeah, there was that, and the more rugged jaw, and broader shoulders. But Stiles enjoyed the differences. He stepped a little closer as Danny leaned in, looping an arm around the other's waist while his free hand grasped Danny's neck.

His lips parted, and his head tipped to the side to deepen the kiss.

Danny accepted the invention and pushed his tongue deep into Stile's warm cave. He wrestled with Stiles tongue and pushed his body even closer together with Stiles. With his hand he gently caressed Stiles neck while he continued kissing until he was out of breath.

Stiles' hands wandered, roaming over Danny's back and chest as they kissed. His face was flushed wth excitement when they both had to come up for air, and he licked his lips as his eyes moved up and down Danny's torso. They'd probably have to take thigs out of the kitchen soon, but it was Danny's house, so he was waiting for Danny's cue.

"You're a really great kisser."

"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself," Danny replied and stroked Stiles chin. "So, should we head upstairs?" he then asked.

"Yeah," Stiles agreed, smiling fondly. "I'd like that." He grabbed his drink and took a sip, wetting his lips before they went upstairs. He was definitely looking forward to seeing how things went.
