Drops the bag on the tabletop and casually leans back. Oh no. He's not going to take one bite from that sandwich. Not yet at least. Not before...

... he procures a cigarette from his coat pocket and coolly lights it up, his eyes zeroing in on his "colleague's." Some crazy bird in the distance shrilly screams, "SIR YOU CAN'T SMOKE IN HERE!!!!" She's promptly ignored. He doesn't blink. Doesn't react.

Just. Keeps smoking, waiting with a perpetual amount of patience for some reaction.]

Everything is awful. Even this mint hell of a milkshake, which Sherlock is steadily working his way through, is awful because he knows it's going to make him throw up later on.

He's never been especially good about eating or drinking when drunk. His stomach isn't made of steel, it's made up of loose morals and oh so many regrets.

Sherlock has also been very steadily stripping each and every cigarette he has and piling the tobacco up in the middle, very occasionally either smelling it or... er, eating it. Pinching a bit and shoving it into his milkshake because a difference of delivery might be interesting (it tasted awful when he ate but that doesn't stop him from doing it again).

It's an easy way to indulge his sweet tooth, picking up one of the chocolate coffee shakes that he can never remember the name of as soon as he finishes placing the order. And he couldn't resist getting an order of curly fries for Magnus even if his boyfriend will pretend he hates them before eating them at a truly frightening pace.

He pauses, reaching for the door when he notices Emma, mentally shaking his head at her comment. Turning around, he quirks an eyebrow upward.]

[Honestly, this was the sort of job Celty should have taken, the kind where Shizuo is potentially a hazard to himself or others and that risk city damage fines or an Izaya sighting, but... she's off on another mission today, one that actually pays, and Shinra's been tasked with getting out of the damn house for one evening. He isn't exactly a homebody, but his research has always taken precedence over everything else after Celty.

...well, Shizuo technically counts as research, Shinra guesses. It's more or less spontaneous companionship that's just accompanied years of Shinra's incessant obsession with Shizuo as a living topic, and maybe a bit of concern on if Shizuo was okay upon stumbling into the Arby's (though the quick diagnosis of 'inebriated' seems to settle that question, even if he does kind of wonder about that arm), but he's... really kind of curious now. Does Shizuo even have a milk limit?]

[Arby's isn't the best family restaurant but it's probably his favorite.

It's also the one that he prefers. Barbara hated it (you get the meat sweats!) and the kids didn't like the lack of toys (these toys blow dad!) but it was his personal favorite (dads love meat guys. Just deal.)

Which is probably why he's sitting in there with three smaller burgers and an order of onion rings like a wolf after a meal.

In the van in the parking lot he's got three shot guns and two semi-automatics but in here he's just another grizzled patron.
