approach those who are inhuman in shape and mind; if you have neither, be free
to alter your characters so they may fit one side, or both. Love knows no boundaries,
after all, nor does attraction; why should species deter one from pleasure and joy?

AU Prompts:

i. Enemy Mine

You may not have gotten off to a good start, but trapped, alone together, in a wild place-- well, there's nothing that brings two people closer than relying on only each other for help and survival, and something has bloomed where the land was thought to be barren. So what if you are from different worlds? This is a new world, and there's no one to say that what you do for pleasure or love is wrong.

ii. Pulp Science Fantasy

After being kidnapped by the horrible Xalgonions of Xon'marx XIII, you prayed for someone to save you-- and someone did, clothing ripped and sweat shining on their skin as they cut down your cruel captors. Swoon! How could one not fall in love with someone so very, very swashbuckling, and who cares if their skin happens to be blue or bioluminescent, or if their weapon was clutched in a tentacle instead of a hand?

Perhaps no rescue came, and you are at the mercy of your cruel and perverse captors. Oh no! What horrible, lewd, awful, terrible things will they do to you? What pornographic use will they put you to? ~~Is the rumor that they have amazing dongs true?~~ There's only one way to find out!

iii. High Nonsense Fantasy

Does anyone care about why the incredibly powerful wizards filling the world haven't just magic'd away all disease with their boundless and eternal power? No, of course not; the really important thing is that elves, dragons, centaurs, and fairies are all real, and they are all willing to bone every other intelligent critter around (though some dragons might have a particular taste for royalty).

iv. Urban Fantasy & Modern Magic

Dating in a modern day and age can be hard; it gets harder if you have to plan around your monthly transformation into a canine, or turn into a mermaid every time your date takes you to the beach, or any other issue that arises from your inhumanity in a city built around human needs. Still, perhaps there's something you can offer because of your magic-tainted condition, instead of in spite of it...

Knowing magic is real, and demons are real, led you to those shelves at the back of the library, where everything has disclaimers that you shouldn't try this at home. But if they didn't want you to try it, then they wouldn't have given directions, right? And so you wound up with a demon, or spirit, or ghost, or some other phantasmal or fantastic being following you everywhere you go-- including the bedroom. (The downside: you can't get the salt from the summoning circle out of your carpet, no matter how much you vacuum. #summonerproblems )

v. Fun Fur Everyone

Animal-people are common-- perhaps everyone is an animal-person, with a cat's ears or logic-defying winghands, with whiskers and fur or scales and frills, and the edges of 'attractive' have shifted to include them all. Oh, sure, there might be humans as well (who are attractive in their own right), but think of all the things that animals can do that humans can't, and all the attributes they might not share, and how exciting it could be to learn something new every day you're with your partner of a different breed...

When they weren't busy dodging corrupt authorities and bounty hunters, Zotoh Zhaan and her motley crew of fugitives had been traveling the galaxy, monitoring solar flares--trying to learn more about the phenomenon that had caused wormhole that had flung human astronaut, John Crichton, across the the galaxy. Being particularly sensitive to ionic radiation, Zhaan was all but useless during solar flares, so while John and Aeryn had gone out in the shuttle to take readings, Zhaan had gone planetside to do a little sunbathing.

She wasn't the only one who had gone planetside, though Jack had been there for days, and the solar flares had been giving his own little ship trouble and until the solar storm passed, he was effectively stranded. Not that he minded, exactly. The planet was a small, remote thing he'd only stopped at to follow up on some rumours that the Doctor had been spotted there. The rumours ended up being nothing, but it did let Jack relax outside in the warm sun, enjoying the view of the few other tourists he'd seen around.

There was one who caught Jack's eye in particular, though, and with a smile, he approached her.

"You picked a great spot over here. Mind if I have a seat? Kind of getting tired of being by myself."

Zhaan was rather eye catching, with her mottled blue skin; strong, sensual build; and flowing, gossamer robes. She, however, hardly noticed the comings and goings around, seemingly lost in thought as she sat in a pool of sunlight. Only the man's voice pulled her out of her reverie, and she looked up at him with a languid smile. He didn't strike her as a threat, but she could hardly have resisted in her presently enraptured state.

"Be my guest," she answered, spreading her hands in a welcoming gesture. Her voice was a breathy murmur, caressing each word as it passed her lips. "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?"

No one he'd seen so far had been quite as shiny or even dressed as nicely. He was happy to have her accept his offer, noting her lovely, relaxed smile as well. What a beauty. "Don't mind if I do. Thank you."

He took a seat next to her, setting down his heavy wool coat next to him and enjoying the warmth. He could see why she was so relaxed here. "It's gorgeous. Though I can't tell if it's because the weather is so nice or if it's because I found a beautiful woman out in it." He extended a hand to hers. "Captain Jack Harkness. Thank you for being so kind."

"Where else would you find a Delvian on such a day?" she asked, as if that explained everything. Perhaps it would have, if Jack knew anything of her race--but she'd grown accustomed to explaining things to Crichton, who was very much new to this corner of the galaxy, so as an afterthought, she added, "We are a plant based species, after all."

Her smile widened, and she shook his hand, running her fingertips across his palms as she let go. "I am Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan," she told him, "But you may call me Zhaan. As they say, kindness costs nothing."

"Delvian?" He wasn't familiar with the race, but ever the eager learner, he was more than willing to take a lesson. A plant-based humanoid...he'd heard of tree people, but never anything like her. "Well, then I guess you really did find the perfect spot after all."

Her hand was soft, and he liked how her touch lingered on his palm. "Zhaan. That's a lovely name. Fun to say. I bet you get all the boys saying it." He chuckled and took to watching her again.

"Forgive my ignorance, but I don't know if I've met anyone like you before. You're quite lovely. Is this how you get nutrients? Does that mean you don't eat or drink? That would be a shame, as I was about to ask you for drinks or maybe dinner."

"Boys...girls...nonbinary individuals..." Zhaan laughed softly, and shrugged her shoulders as if to say that she wasn't particular when it came to gender. Her people had evolved from plants. "Though I'm afraid my crew mates mostly say it in frustration. Especially on days like today. Delvians are highly sensitive to certain types of radiation."

Her eyes closed for a moment, and she sighed wistfully, but his voice drew her attention back to his chiseled features. Strong jaw, dimpled chin, full lips. Quite the handsome man. "Oh, we are capable of drawing nutrients from food and drink as well," she said, "It's just that sunlight is extremely...pleasurable."

Well that was one thing that the both of them had in common, and her answer brought a smile to his lips. So nice to be off Earth with its narrow-minded view on sexuality. "I can imagine the frustration being on a ship with you might provide." He laughed again, his eyebrow quirking in interest when she mentions how much she likes the sunlight.

"Is that so? Sounds like it might be a private affair. Should I leave? I'd hate to interrupt you, but if you don't mind the company, I think I'd like to learn more about you. You sound terribly fascinating."

"Only if you are bothered by the fact that I might become sexually aroused," she said, tilting her face toward the sun, then back toward him. "You see, when Delvians are exposed to intense solar radiation, we often experience what's known among my people as a photogasm." Which, for some reason, made other spacies uncomfortable to observe. But, watching Jack's expression, she didn't think he minded in the least.

This time, both eyebrows lifted. He had to admire her boldness and her willingness not to be bashful or shy about it. What she described sounded utterly fascinating and extremely advantageous for him.

"Sounds like a great way to get off. Wish it were that simple for my people." He leans a little closer to her, suddenly very interested. "Well you picked a great time to do it. The solar flares have been so intense lately. Lucky they are, or I might've left without meeting you."

Delvians had very little shame about their bodies, or their pleasures, the way that so many other species did. Of course, she respected the customs of her crewmates, and did her best not to offend them, but if Jack was interested in a cultural exchange, she was more than happy to oblige.

She leaned in, her lips parting in pleasure at the thought of sharing an intimate moment with him inone way or another. "It's always nice to meet someone with similar interests. Perhaps we could find a place to be alone together, where we can enjoy the sunlight and each other's company without...ngh...interruption."

He himself leaned in close, dropping the volume of his voice to speak to her more intimately. "I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. I'd love to keep carrying on our.. conversation. Maybe start some new ones." A hand lifts to stroke her cheek and down her jaw, tilting her head as if to kiss her, but he just smiled instead.

"My room's got a balcony. Unless you'd prefer somewhere with a bit more foliage. Might be more in your element? I'm sure we can find something after a short hike." He would like nothing better than to prop her against the nearest sturdy vertical structure, but patience would be key here, especially if he longed to be surprised by her biology.

"Indeed..." Zhaan's breath caught in her throat at the touch, savoring the suspense of the almost kiss. Here was a man who knew what he was about. It was hard to find someone with that kind of experience when you had lived for more than eight hundred cycles.

She raised a hand to his, lifting his palm to her lips. "I am happy anywhere that i can feel the sun on my skin," she said, "And the quicker I can shed this clothing, the better. But where would you be more comfortable?"

He watched closely when she kissed his hand, feeling himself smile from it. "I've got no shame. I'd have you right here if I wasn't certain I'd be booted immediately." He's already picturing her out of her robes, and the subtle bite to his lip shows that he's thinking something naughty.

"Room's closer, though... And at this point, I'm getting a little eager to see that photogasm you mentioned." He drops his voice to a whisper and turns his hand to grip hers. "Have you ever had a photogasm and an orgasm at the same time? We can try to make that happen."

Zhaan smiles back at him, pupils wide with arousal not solely caused by the sunlight. She can't deny, she's been visualizing his body underneath his clothes sice the moment he took off his lovely blue coat. Her figers tighten around his hand, and she moans softly in response to the question.

"I have not, but given the opportunity, I should very much like to try." Dropping her voice, she adds, "It is possible that I could share the sensation of a photogasm with you empathically as well. Perks of being a ninth level priest of the Delvian Seek."

As if Jack needed any further incentive to take her to his room.

Then it was Jack's turn to moan and even shiver a little, odd considering how warm it was. "Oh, I think I would really like to feel that." And with a grip of her hand. He got to his feet, coat in his free hand, and tugged her up with him.

"Still pretty early. Looks like we've got a long time to practice if wendon't get it right away."

"How fortunate for the both of us," she murmured as she rose, pressing her body against his for a moment. She was looking forward to practicing wih him, very much. "If you would be so kind as to lead the way, Captain?"
