[It's not like Bruce is spending more time with Natasha on purpose, and he already senses Tony's not thrilled about it. But they're working on something that will help the whole team, if they can manage it. Trying to ease him out of his transformations in a more controllable way.

It's exhausting work, though, because it has to be tested. So he wanders back into Stark Tower one evening, in desperate need of something to eat and some caffeine. What he doesn't need is a nap, but that couch over there does look very comfortable and he's just going to sit on it for a moment.]

Admitting that there was a problem had been one of the hardest things to accept, and now that he'd accepted it the flood gates had opened and it was as if jealousy was all he could feel.

Every time he saw them together, whether it be after some time on their own, or even at something with the rest of them he felt sour. Sour, and angry and biting his tongue without anyone recognising that he was having to do it just added insult to injury.

This was the time, and the place. He couldn't take it anymore, and... maybe the alcohol in his system would help to loosen him up slightly, but he needed to take matters into his own hands.

With his tumbler, he moves toward Bruce, beelining the couch and sitting instead on the table in front of him.]

[Sorry friend, he'd nearly dozed off there. He doesn't quite pick up on Tony's irritation, though it might have slipped by him regardless of his exhaustion level.]

[He shrugs at the question.] I don't know if enjoying myself is quite the right word, though. She can be very intimidating, particularly when I don't want to cooperate. Either as myself or the Hulk. And I think she knows me better than I know myself, sometimes.
