Wedding Night
![]() The Wedding Night Meme a smut/shipping meme |
The wedding bells have rung - or the correct sacrifices have been made, depending on your culture. Whatever the case may be, you're married now, and the night is yours. However, there is one expectation on you: it's time to consummate the marriage. Whether you're in love, in this marriage because it was arranged, or absolutely in hate with your new spouse, you're with them now. Have you two been intimate before this, or is your first time...with them or first time period? Do you know what you want and are you full of lust, or do you have no clue what's going on? Maybe you even have to seduce your partner who wants nothing to do with this!

When Jemma had agreed to undercover work, primarily because how exciting, this was the last situation she'd expected to find herself in. Dressed in white, proclaimed married, standing face to face with Dr. Banner...seemed so unlikely in any situation. She knew who he was, of course, even before meeting him for the first time on this mission. Every SHIELD agent, of sufficient clearance, knew, and the story of the Hulk was a cautionary tale that still circled through the science division.
She'd never thought she'd meet him in person.
And she'd never thought it would be on a mission that had gone so completely sideways. It was supposed to have been a simple thing. Some simple data collection that anyone could have done, really, but there hadn't been time to brief someone better suited to field work on what they needed to look for. Now, though, she couldn't even say where things had started to go off track, couldn't even say how she had ended up where she was. It had happened, and there she was, fidgeting her hands as she looked at the man who was apparently now her husband.
And worried about what part the Hulk would play in all this.

What have you gotten yourself into now, Banner?
It had been Fury's idea, of course. Apparently SHIELD's enemies had been moving in, hungering for an Avenger to call their own, one to use against them. Bruce's recent forays with the rest of the team hadn't exactly been positive experiences; it seemed that, despite his growing control over the Other Guy, the Other Guy felt more strongly about smashing than ever before. Their enemies had taken notice, and Bruce had a target painted on his back. If the Hulk couldn't be controlled by SHIELD, that meant he was ripe for the picking by any other organization who wanted him badly enough.
So, somehow, Fury decided the best course of action would be to marry Bruce off. Marriages were supposed to be stable and comforting; having a wife, someone who could take care of him, would help ease the Other Guy's restlessness. Jemma being in trouble just so happened to dovetail nicely, so it was the two of them that were placed together.
Now they were married, for better or worse, less than two weeks after meeting one another. The ceremony had been small; the hotel room SHIELD had provided was anything but. Fury had given them the penthouse suite, possibly as an apology for making them do this. There were agents guarding the hotel, but right now Bruce and Jemma were, for all intents and purposes, utterly alone. Fury knew better than to put cameras in the hotel room.
While he'd been able to keep a level head throughout the ceremony, Bruce felt a weary sort of nervousness creep into his body now that they were alone. Reaching up, he fidgeted with his tie a little, unsure of what to do. They didn't have to consummate this, after all; it was only for show.
"Do you - " he began, gesturing vaguely to the rest of the suite, before stopping abruptly. What was he supposed to say? Taking a breath, he tried again. "You look beautiful." It was sincere, at least.

She might not have been one of those girls who had planned their wedding from a young age, but she'd thought of it, dreamed of it as a girl. And this wasn't anything like what she'd thought. It had all fallen into place so quickly that he hadn't even told her parents about it. She hadn't even gotten to talk about it with Fitz! Her friend, at least, knew it was happening, had been able to attend the small ceremony, with compliments that hadn't rung as true as Dr. Banner's.
That was nice. He actually seemed to appreciate the effort that had been put into this whole whirlwind.
But the awkwardly standing, equally awkward attempt at finding something to say, was ridiculous. Jemma forced herself to brighten up, clapping her hands together and sweeping up her skirt to where there was champagne chilling on a small side table. "How about a drink?"
Even if it was just for something to do with her hands.

He smiled thankfully and nodded at the suggestion, following Jemma over to the table and helping to pour a couple of glasses. It could be worse, he supposed. He didn't want her to get caught by the enemy, and he was particularly peeved that SHIELD had been the ones to put her in harm's way. Besides, she was pleasant, and interesting to talk to - though they hadn't been able to talk much since all this began.
And she was a scientist. Bruce had read of her many accomplishments, had even thought about what it would be like to work together, albeit under very different circumstances. He hoped they'd be able to get past the strange nature of their relationship sooner rather than later, because from what he'd read Jemma Simmons was an incredibly clever young woman.
After pouring the champagne, he raised his glass slightly and offered her an apologetic smile. It seemed fitting to make a toast, but he'd never been good at speeches. So instead, he just said, "To us." Whatever us was or would be. Then he tinked their glasses together gently and took a small sip, his eyes falling from her face down to the plush carpet.

"This is all absurd, isn't it?" she tried, smiling kindly, leaning in a little to catch his eyes. Now that she was up close, having a moment to think and actually look at him, Dr. Banner was actually a very handsome man, with very kind eyes, and it ought to be easy enough to get comfortable being with him. Despite her reservations about his other side.
"Here we are, two fully grown, brilliant people, acting like bashful teenagers." There had to be a better way to handle the situation. They were married now for goodness sake. They should at least stop being nervous around each other.

That didn't make dealing with it less awkward, though.
When Jemma leaned in Bruce glanced up at her and managed to hold her gaze. She was truly very pretty, and very polite, and very kind. Anyone would be lucky to have her. Perhaps that was why he felt so strange about the whole arrangement: he was stealing her away from someone who could truly make her happy. Bruce had no hopes of ever having a family, and he knew that his presence alone came in the shadow of something much more sinister.
But Jemma didn't deserve to be ignored in favour of his self-loathing, so he turned his attention away from his negative thoughts and towards the young woman standing in front of him. Her comment about teenagers drew a soft chuckle from his throat and he reached up to rub at his hair, an old nervous habit.
"You think I'm brilliant?" he asked, his tone playful, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he looked at her more directly. He wondered how much he could tease her, if she would find it enjoyable or not. She was clever enough to understand that he wasn't serious, but that didn't necessarily mean she would like it.
no subject
"Maybe not quite as brilliant as myself, of course," she responded, a spark of amusement in her own eyes. "But certainly above average. Which, I think, is very important. I'd hate to find myself married to someone unable to hold an intelligent conversation."
She could imagine them working together side by side, passionate about the same things. Their fields were similar enough, carried enough overlap, that they should be able to, if they wanted. They could be partners in the lab as much as out of it. Like she'd been with Fitz before all this. It wasn't a bad match, all things considered.

Hahh... [takeru let out a long sigh as they sat on the bed together, facing one another. he had already undone the belt to his kimono, his clothes now loose, but even so he wasn't making any move to continue. would this really be impossible?!
no, he wanted to do this with her, he loved her more than anything- but it was just so... embarrassing.]
H-how.... are you feeling? [is she worse off than him?!]
no subject
Like I'm where I'm meant to be. I know it's embarrassing but.. I'm happy. Really, really happy.

here he was trying his hardest to calm down, but she was already mentally prepared. yui was extremely special, she always knew just what to say, and now was no exception. of course she would say something that would calm him down right away. takeru accepted her hands, he accepted her kiss, and he stared into her eyes once she spoke up. there was a pause after she had finished speaking, and it was just because takeru started to smile a little bit.]
I'm... really happy too. More happy than I ever thought I could be.
[after everything he had gone through, all the people accusing him and not trusting him, he was so glad to finally be in a position like this. he was with the woman he loved, and they were about to consummate their marriage. takeru blushed a little darker at the thought, and then he leaned in to press another kiss to her lips. this time he lingered, he held it there before pulling away again.]

Yui enjoyed the kiss thoroughly, laughing a little when he pulled away- an expression of sheer joy. Yui scooted back a little after that, then slowly reached for her kimono, pulling the two sides apart. Her obi had long since been removed- the ornate decoration was not the most comfortable, and given what they were going to do, she figured it would be better to rid herselfof it early. When she finally revealed her body, it was a plain white bra and panties beneath the kimono, but beautiful in its simplicity. ]
I love you, Takeru-sa-- ah, Takeru.

That happiness could not compare to the happiness he felt now however. It was bubbling inside of him like crazy and threatening to overflow. It really was good that he and Aoba, his husband, were alone by this point. The day had passed by in a bur to him and yet everything that had happened were crystal clear in his head.]
I love you, Aoba.
[Like he hadn't proclaimed that enough already, but he said it again, smiling brightly and pulling his now husband into a warm kiss.]
