Howard had found Steve's homing beacon. If it hadn't been for his abduction, and subsequent hypnotism, they might never have known, but thank God Peggy hadn't been able to let it go. Who knew how long Captain America would have been lost under the ice, otherwise?

But now, here he was, alive and well. And the first thing that Peggy did after they let him out of briefing was to cash in the rain check on that date they owed each other.
