the monster & the maiden fair meme There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life. But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor? They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?" how to play Comment with your character, your preference, and what role they'll play. Feel free to AU characters to your desire role. Reply to others. Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

Ah.. [A slender hand reaches over to poke at the glass window in the room, face squinting as if trying to see through the rain that smacked against it without any sense of stopping.] It's raining again.. [Arms wrapped around her stuffed plushie Tama, she absemindedly fixes the scarf.]

I wonder when he will be back.. [With a little sigh she retreats from the window, petite form flopping backwards onto the queen-size bed that was pushed against the corner of the wall. The content smile on her face slowly vanishes as she trails off to stare at the wall blankly, fingers tightening around Tama. She wasn't supposed to be here and yet that choice was taken away from her when a blonde haired, blue eye boy had knocked her out while she was walking home. Most of her fearful thoughts of bad things happening to her during her time as a captive slowly vanished when no harm ever came to her. Before she knew it Yunoha was comfortable enough to smile at her kidnapper without no problem at all.]

This should be wrong and yet.. [She presses her face into Tama as her mind begins to brew with troubled thoughts. No matter how much she tried to deny it her feelings were blaring right at her face, telling her how stupid she was for trying to think otherwise. There were many times were she had the opportunity to slip out and escape and yet she didn't - Not even when Mikaela dared to take her out into the backyard so that she could enjoy the warmth from the sun. Thinking back on it now she understood why she hadn't- It was such a simple reasoning that even a child could figure it out.]

I- I love him.. [Whether he felt the same way or not, she didn't know. Even knowing that he was a vampire did not deter Yunoha at all.] Mikaela.. [She blinks away the tears threatening to form in her eyes which she hastily wipes away. Her body starts to slowly flicker into transparency which was something surprising since she hadn't done so in a while. Even if she tried to reign it in she doubted she could as she was too emotional for it at the moment.]

Belarus did not consider himself a "monster". That was more apt for his beloved sister, Russia. Though rather than her looks, it was her personality and demeanor that made other nations fear her. As for Belarus, he was more a... "stalker monster", perhaps. He had a particular fondness for the pretty, the exquisite, and the elegant. Though he usually had eyes only for Russia, there was a particular beauty that had caught his sight.

His name, he later found out, was Alcuin. A peculiar man in his own rights, with hair that reminded him of snow from his northern land, and the darkest eyes he had ever seen. So he began to stalk him, from the shadows and sometimes making his presence obvious, just to see how Alcuin would react. What Belarus didn't expect was for his interest to turn into an obsession. From then on, Belarus knew he had to have this man.

And it was on a night when the moon was hidden by dark clouds that he made his plan. Sneaking into Alcuin's place of residence, he stole the man away, silent in his execution. It was a wonder that Alcuin barely stirred throughout the ordeal. Soon, he had the man in his captivity, a leather collar fitted around his neck.

Once done, Belarus stepped back and glanced at his handiwork. Alcuin truly was a beautiful sight, sprawled on his bed, the man's shirt slightly rode up to reveal smooth skin beneath. It wouldn't be long before his prisoner wakes. Perhaps the man would be hungry? With that thought in mind, Belarus left his room to prepare a meal.
