Dating...isn't what you'd consider the two of you doing. You're just close. Close enough to spend time together, do things you both enjoy, eat together, talk about problems, cuddle, and kiss, possibly. And you don't do most of these things with other people.

Okay, so maybe you are dating. But do you need to disclose this fact to everyone else, or at least acknowledge it amongst yourselves -

If you even realize it, that is. It's possible this whole "a couple" status has snuck up on you. Theoretically, at least.

Dean knew on some level he and Cas were in a relationship. Just because they were being discreet didn't mean he was ashamed or anything, far from it. Also just because he was firmly against labeling their accord didn't mean he wasn't okay with what they had. He chose not to tell anyone, even Sam, because he wanted something all his own. He didn't want to have to share it. So here he was waiting in a random motel room for his angelic lover because he was afraid if they were alone in his room in the bunker Sam would eventually find out.

He was lounging on the bed sipping from a tumbler of whiskey and watching Dr. Sexy reruns waiting for Cas to show up.
