The FAMILY Meme

How does it work? Simple! Choose a relationship (or roll for one, if it suits your fancy), and then RNG for a situation! That, or just go straight for whatever situation appeals to you. These are all fairly vague: just something to start you off!  Parent-Child      1. Rock-a-Bye How do you get a fussy child to sleep? Read them a story, sing them a lullaby, or just let them stay up until they exhaust themselves? Whatever the choice, it is time for bed.       2. For The First Time You've never met this person in your life, but it turns out they're one of the two reasons you exist. Maybe they walked out when you were young. Maybe they never knew you were born. Whatever the reason, it is now time to meet them.       3. Past Midnight That curfew was set for a reason. Now it's two AM, and your kid is just now dragging in. Maybe they're drunk. Or got into a fight. Or just had way too much fun snogging their new love interest. It's time for them to face the music.       4. New Home It's the first day of your new life together, as parent and child. Whether it's through adoption, a basket on the front steps, or a wish come true, both of you are going to have to learn to take your steps together.       5. So whatever the job, from accountant to zookeeper, go to work!      7. You're Not My Real Dad Being a step-parent (or step-child, for that matter) can be tough. Problem is, you're stuck with each other. So whether you're yelling or just having an awkward conversation, it is time to work things out.       8. Unexpected Guardian So you're not the parenting type. Too bad. Situation calls for someone to step up to the plate and look out for this kid, and you're the only one near base. Have fun with that.  Siblings      1. Protective Big Sibling Okay, look. No one gets to mess with your sibling but you. So you have a, er, sensitive problem? It's time to run to them.  In A Relationship      1. New Baby On The Way The panicking is already over, but there are still preparations to be made. Maybe you need to set up the nursery, or you've got the best idea for your soon-to-be child's name.       2. Romeo & Juliet You love this person. Perhaps more than life itself. But it is time to break the bad news: your family will never approve.       3. I Think I Might Be Pregnant Somehow, you are pregnant. And you think you know who the father is...time to break the news.       4. [ooc - I do too, I really enjoyed the phonecall in the previous episode. Witch Kol sounds like the best option as that would explain a vampire pregnancy - some kind of spell that has been cast upon them after having a 'fling'. I've gone for in a relationship (other), 3. I hope you like what I have written.]

[The last few days had been only what Caroline could describe as 'unusual' she had woken up with a lack of energy and as the morning continued she would suddenly be hit with bouts of nausea however this morning the nausea came before the was no different. Caroline tried her best to remove Kol's arm which was currently around her waist without waking him but also doing so with urgency as she dashed for the bathroom, emptying the contents of her stomach.

Standing up Caroline suddenly felt her knees give way slightly using the basin as leverage as she watched the little colour left in her cheeks drain from her face in two minds of whether or not to call Kol as another bout of nausea hit her.]

[ooc: The phone call was really cute. :) And looks fine to me. Will sort of just wing it with the history, I guess.]

[You would think that for an ex-vampire who'd spend decades daggered in a box, one would have had enough of sleeping. The human body, unfortunately, needs rest from time to time -- even one belonging to a witch. Kol doesn't possess the same stamina as he used to as his undead self, and so he snoozes away, undisturbed by the rustle in his bed that leaves it emptier without Caroline.]

Mmph...

[He turns over and plants his face into the pillow, arm sliding into the dip that she left behind on the mattress.]

[Taking the cup that sat besides the sink Caroline turned on the tap and took a few sips of water whilst sitting at the edge of the bath. Standing up Caroline made her way back through to the bedroom, sitting down besides Kol she ran a hand through his hair.] Kol... Kol.

[Caroline waits for him to wake, running her hand down his bare back abefore pressing a kiss to his neck.]

[Sleeping is nice, but so is that touch, which he can feel trailing down his back. It doesn't matter if it wakes him up. Kol tilts his face toward hers and grins sleepily.]

Come back to bed, love. You don't have anywhere to be today, am I right?

[Though knowing Caroline, she always had something or other. It was dizzying to keep up with..]

[As he lifts his head in a slight daze Caroline cannot help but feel a rush of emotion that she feels whenever she wakes up besides this man who has come to mean so much to her. Stopping for a second with the trailings she was leaving behind on Kol's body she runs her hands through her hair before waiting a second or two before answering him.]

I think... We need to go to buy a pregnancy test.

[Waiting for his reaction feels like longer then it probably actually takes as the seconds feel like a lengthy minute.]

[Kol smirks and reaches out to twist a lock of her hair between his fingers. Did she think he'd fall for that? He's not that out of it, no matter what the hour.]

You've got to do better than that, to give me a start.

[Caroline falters slightly at his reaction, she knows that it sounds absurd but all the symptoms add up to a possible pregnancy. As she goes to speak she feels a sudden warmth through her cheeks, followed by familar feeling of the rising bile entering her mouth. Caroline sits forward taking a second to see whether or not she's actually going to vomit keeping a hand on top of Kol's before superspeeding to the bathroom knowing that she wouldn't make it if she were to run at human speed.]

[Whoa, okay. She was looking rather green there. For a moment there, he thinks she's about to projectile vomit into his face, which might sound hilarious if it weren't for the word 'pregnancy' that keeps echoing in his head. The Exorcist moment passes, but not before she makes a last second dash to the loo.]

Er.

[He hesitates for a second before rising to his feet, padding his way over to the bathroom door. He leans against the frame.]

...you all right?

[By the time Kol is leant against the door she has unsteadily stood and is sat on top of the bath, the cup that was in her just minutes earlier is sat between her legs as caroline runs a hand through her hair. Nodding her head at his question, once what feels like a constant bout of nausea passes she speaks.]

This is the third time this morning, twentieth time this week. [Not that she's been counting or anything...] What's wrong with me? [Caroline cries.]
