It was easy enough to pull his sweats back on, once he finds them, no shirt needed, since it was warm enough to go without. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he focuses on Rey, unable to keep from smiling as he takes her in, so disheveled, and yet, still the most beautiful thing in his life.
"I've got stuff in the fridge, I'm sure we could put something together", he answers, his smile shifting into an amused grin at the question. "Well, I mean, it'd probably be easier to just give you piggyback rides everywhere, but sure, we'll stick with at my hip."
no subject
"Piggyback rides?" she joked, turning to fully face him. "I don't think that would be a wise idea. Besides, I'm not the type that wants to be carried around." But, he was kidding about it anyway. Rey smoothed down her shirt, moving over to miles to steal a kiss from him. What was it about seeing a man shirtless and just in sweats?
"We'll make something...and just enjoy the weekend...but for dinner, we can make something."
no subject
Miles shrugged, lips turning up at the edges in a small smile. "Alright, so maybe that wouldn't be feasible in the kitchen. I'll just have to settle for holding hands, I suppose." Not that he'd mind much, that was just as good, and besides, they'd inevitably gravitate toward each other while on the couch or in bed, anyway.
He hummed happily into the kiss, reminding himself that more would have to wait till later. Food was the most important matter to deal with currently. "Yes, ma'am. I'm sure I have enough to satisfy us both."

"Settle? You're usually thrilled when we do.." she teased back, happier to talk about a different subject than her moving in with him.
"Hopefully, but I've scrounged together much less..." they walked over to the kitchen with Rey actually reaching out to him to take his hand and hold it. A few minutes passed and she was rummaging through his fridge to see what he had. He had a few things that she could make something decent for it.
"How often do you go grocery shopping?"
no subject
He didn't mind taking as much time as necessary to help her acclimate to him, and this, and becoming us when they were together.
"I am, of course, but I was really kinda into the thought of playing koala ... still am, even if that'll have to wait for a better time."
Happily, he accepted the offered hand, and the unspoken invitation to stand close while peering through the sadly not quite empty but getting there refrigerator, picking and choosing components to make a meal.
"... Not often enough, it looks like."
no subject
"Koala? Is it because I'm shorter than you?" she asked, still teasing, but also wondering why he wanted to keep picking her up and taking her around. She wasn't a child, but she could appreciate his teasing and she enjoyed it a lot.
Peering into his fridge, there wasn't much she could actually do, except make ramen (assuming he had any). Which meant take out...which meant going back to square one.
"We could do Japanese or Italian...sushi or pizza," she suggested, looking over her shoulder at him. Either would be good with her. Or whatever he wanted to do...and if they started living together, they would have to go grocery shopping often. Or at least often enough to where the fridge didn't look nearly empty.
Prior to Miles, Rey didn't think about starting a relationship. She was interested in being friends, but then one thing lead to another...and here they were. She wasn't going to give him an ultimatum, because he wouldn't give her one. There was no way she was going to tell him that it was work or her. They needed to be independent of one another.

Cute. Much like the thought of suddenly sweeping her off of her feet and having sweet little moments just like this.
Back to the matter at hand - yes, his fridge was pitiful. Yes, he felt quite a bit of shame in not having it at least a little more stocked. He'd ensure that it would never be so bare again.
"Sushi, I think. I know a place that does a two-for-one special over the weekends. And I also happen to know that their tuna is to die for. That's definitely what I'm casting my vote for."
They've both sort of ... fallen into an unexpected relationship, but the truth of the matter was that he couldn't quite imagine going back to the life he was living before her. If this was to continue, and he hoped that it would, and for a long time to come, they'd have to find a conscious way to make it work. And he was absolutely adamant upon doing just that.

"It does sound pretty cute..suppose we could test the term out," a little more teasing, a little more playfulness.
As for sushi, that was fine with her. Better than eating ramen, or trying to make something from his fridge. If he had anything else in his cupboards, she didn't know nor did she want to know. Some time this week she would have to take him out grocery shopping and make sure he could survive on his own...and not just on take out.
"Sure, that sounds fine. Do you want to place the order for it? I'm good with anything." Really, she wasn't picky. He could pick whatever he wanted for her and she'd be fine with it.
They were easily falling into a rhythm or routine with one another in his home. The idea of sharing a space with him..living with him, was starting to become a real possibility. Granted, it would take time to actually living together and they may have spats here and there, but they would work through them. Both of them wanted to keep the relationship going.

"Sounds like a plan", he answered, and it was sort of a nice little distraction from everything else they were testing out, too. Or, maybe it made it all the easier to know that this sort of banter was always going to be a part of their relationship, even if they found themselves sharing the same space more often.
Finding his fridge in such a state was highly embarrassing - Miles can cook, had been cooking for a long time, and usually had a lot more to offer. But there were times when work got in the way of everything else, including taking care of himself properly. He knew that he needed to find a happy medium, and that he needed to do so right away.
"I can do that, yeah - they've got this sampler, it comes with a little bit of everything. It's delicious - I think that'll probably make for a really good dinner."
He offered a smile as he went searching for his phone - it was probably in the living room, where those makeouts had led to more. Living together wasn't going to be perfect, but he was okay with that. If it was meant to last, they'd both put in the work to do just that. And he wasn't liable to let Rey slip through his fingers anytime soon, not when it was with her that he was the happiest. He'd have to be an idiot, and he'd like to think that he was anything but.
