[he exhales through his nose, puts on a mirroring smirk, feigned at first but gaining more of a foothold in reality as the seconds tick by, and arches his eyebrows]

[that said, he shrugs -- then shrugs again, as if to say well, if you insist, and leans in to kiss her. it's not chaste thing, either, hands moving to her hips, his mouth lingering and almost desperate on hers. yeah, all those staring people? they're definitely getting an eyeful]

[ her arms spindle around his neck again, keeping herself firmly pressed against him. idly she thinks she hears merritt or jack or someone shout "finally!" but she also thinks she's probably imagining it in the midst of her cinderella moment.

she does not imagine the spotlight, but she definitely ignores it. she has an entire year of sexual frustration to get out. ]
