There's no need for elaborate backstories for this AU. You go into heat, rut, whatever you'd like to call it. You've always done so since you were of age to do so. It's a socially accepted norm, and people have gotten used to the difficulties that come with the mating seasons. Life goes on.

Isn't this alpha/beta/omega, then? No, not at all. In this meme, there are no gender-variant genitalia unless your character comes prepackaged with those. No giant cocks - again, unless your character is already packing - or self-lubricating assholes or anal wombs, and no knotting. Unless that's your thing. There's also no set in stone roles with regards to dominance and submission, and some people do not even feel the inclination towards either. Still, there are a few similarities, mainly being that the pheromones of others can put someone into heat that was not in it before and the bond between mates. In addition, some humans/human-stand-ins have created packlike dynamics in response, but this is not universal.

In this meme, it's just regular old human...oids feeling the urge for sex. And by "urge," we of course mean all-consuming drive. If characters choose to ignore that urge, it will backfire on them. The more they put it off, the more they will lose their control, becoming more irritable and aggressive, and eventually be nothing but a rutting animal until the need to mate is satisfied. Not all heats call for mating, of course, and most people can just relieve themselves, but when you do mate, you feel the urge to stay by their side and essentially "nest." These desires don't always pan out into offspring, and mating isn't forever unless it's mutually decided upon. However, impregnating your mate is said to be one of the most euphoric experiences a person can have, even if some people only mate because they want to utterly possess someone, as mates are bonded for a while.

It started off as something that Logan could ignore, just a small itch in the back of his sinuses whenever he caught Scott's scent or when they were in the same room. It was nothing, like a hit of pepper, before he could just forget about it. After a while though, that scent became more pervasive and annoying. Whenever Scott walked into the room, it was like a punch to the stomach, knocking the wind out of Logan. His hair stood on end whenever Scott was nearby, and those were the only physical reactions he would admit to.

And that was Logan's week: an ever increasing irritation as Scott Summers' existence. Except, with the irritation came something else. Logan was still denying any traces of arousal whenever he was near Scott, but that wasn't even the worst of it. He felt possessive, getting angry whenever Scott was talking or getting to close to... well... Anyone. And then there was the sense of longing whenever Scott wasn't around.

By the end of the week, Scott Summer was an addiction. Logan had been sticking close to him, nearly stalking him, and subtly (maybe not as subtly as he'd hope) taking in his scent. There were small touches whenever they were close, easily dismissed brushes or even shoulder checking him whenever they passed in his hall, taking even those moments to sniff the other mutant. It was hell, and that contact was getting under his skin.

Subtlety was out the window by the end of the week. Logan and Scott's usually friction hitting an all time high, not helped by that damn scent now coming off of Scott's skin in waves. It was wreaking havoc on Logan's body. So the decision to spar in the Danger Room like the normally did was probably the worst situation they culd have put themselves in. Both of them were far more aggressive than usual, which was impressive for someone like Logan. Still, when Scott throws Logan over his shoulder and across the room, all hell breaks loose. With a snarl, Logan flat out tackles Scott, pinning him against the nearest wall, and pressing his body firmly against the other's back. Instead of fists and claws, Logan firmly presses his groin against Scott's ass, a low growl ripping from his throat as he shamelessly nuzzles into Scott's neck, breathing in that maddening scent, running his tongue over flushed, heated skin.

Scott more or less knows what's wrong with him. It doesn't take him much longer to figure out what's wrong with Logan. This - being in outright heat - isn't a problem for Scott most of the time. It makes him more snappish and irritable than usual, and adds a heavy layer of horny as hell on top and keeps him distracted and physically uncomfortable, but he can work through. Usually.

Usually There's not usually someone around who can small the changes in his hormonal status.

The entire week makes Scott half insane. Everywhere he goes, every time he turns around, it's like Logan's just there. His confused response is arousal and slowly building anger. He wants fucked, he also wants Logan out of his space

Hence the Danger Room. One of two things is going to happen in there, and either way it'll be a win for him. He'll get fucked or he'll knock Logan sideways and beat the crap out of him and feel better (or Logan will win and beat him and he'll still feel better, but even in this state the idea of acknowledging Logan could win is just not going to happen).

Being slammed into a wall is a pretty damned good sign which way this is going to go, and the cock against his ass is an even clearer one. If neither of those were a give away, Logan at his throat would have been. Logan at his throat was not happening.

Scott makes no attempt to get away from Logan, presses and arches back into him, shudders even, but he also ducks his chin down and flashes his teeth with a low warning growl for Logan to get the fuck away from his neck. "Want something, Logan?" comes out right after and sounds... surprisingly calm, really. Infuriatingly calm, even.
