The Apology Meme



You've done something incredibly stupid. Maybe you've said the wrong thing. Maybe you broke something that wasn't yours. Or, maybe you broke a promise. Whatever the reason, you have to find a way to apologize to the person you hurt.

Rules:

1. Post with your character name, fandom and preferences.

The Reasons

01. Caught Lying - Maybe you thought they wouldn't find out, or maybe you thought they wouldn't care. Whatever the reason, the other person is now mad at you.

02. Caught Cheating - You had an affair and you loved found out. Or, maybe you cheated on a test or game.

03. Heat of the Moment - The two of you were fighting and some hurtful things were said. Now it's time to make amends.

04. Broke Something - Whether it was on purpose or on accident, you broke something belonging to the other person.

05. Snooping - You were caught snooping in the other person's stuff, or maybe even their email or phone.

06. Gossip - The other person told you a huge secret, and you blabbed it to anyone who would listen.

07. Wildcard - Pick your own scenario!

The Apologies

01. Letter/email/text - It's kind of cheap, but it's a start, right?

02. Phone Call - Maybe calling them is a food first step.

03. Flowers - Have them delivered to them, or take them there yourself.

04. A Gift - It can as small, or as big as you'd like.

05. A Surprise Weekend Away - Maybe getting away will solve the problem.

06. Makeup Sex - Maybe it won't solve all your problems, but it's fun!

07. Wildcard - Whatever you'd like.

Frankly....I've seen the error in blood purity...It is pointless. But because I realized what a bastard I was. Can't a man try and make amends?

[She brings the cup in her hands up to her lips, blowing on it slightly before taking a small sip. Of course, she keeps her eyes on him while she does so.]

Of course. I'm a firm believer that everyone should get a second chance...with some exceptions. I'm just a little surprised that you've decided to make amends and can you really blame me?

[She narrows her eyes a little, trying to judge from his face if he's telling the truth or not. He does seem to be...so she nods her head.]

[He swallows glancing down at his Malfoy family ring as if it is very interesting.]

I am also sorry that I didn't stop my Aunt from torturing you.. I was scared....scared for myself and my parents. I am just glad...Weasley and Potter came to your rescue.

I'm not sure that you could have done much to stop her. She was going to do what she did anyway. So you don't need to apologize for that...

[She moves her arm from beside his with a smile and a shake of her head. She lifts her cup, taking another sip of the warm liquid inside.]

[He pulls his jacket back down and picks his cup up again taking another drink from it.]

Draco, I think he has a pretty good reason to hate you. We all do...did. It's going to take him a while to get over it, you know. Although apologizing to him would be a good start.

[Hint, hint. That is if Harry or Ron for that matter would even agree to meet him like she has. She seriously doubts it but even they can surprise her sometimes.]

I tried. Weasley refused and sent me a howler. I haven't heard back from Potter, I guess he is just ignoring it.

I am glad I could at least start on the road for redemption with you. Since we have to work in the Ministry together.

[Of course not that wouldn't be logical at all. She notices the defensive body language of him crossing his arms across his chest and she smiles a little and nods]

Well, as long as you nothing to hide Draco, they're going to stop looking eventually. Besides, you know you don't have to let them in. You're well within your rights to get them to leave. Especially when you have nothing to hide.

I can't say no to them, Hermione...then they will think I am hiding something. To the Ministry we are nothing but Death Eaters...and I work there.....Mothers are over, everything for her is squared away she is off the hook. Now she mostly comes to support me.

[He smiled a bit at that.] At least she is alright...

I maybe as well....seeing how I never actually killed anyone...I couldn't... it was horrible.

[He looks like he might be remembering watching something horrible. He swallows and shakes his head glancing down at the tea in front of him.]

[Hermione doesn't really know what to say in response to any of this. Of course he's right they can't say no to the Ministry it wouldn't do them any favors whatsoever. She does nod with the smallest of smiles at that last bit though]

You're right. But I think if they really thought about the situation that you were in then they would understand. Unfortunately, Harry and Ron aren't always prone to logical thinking.
