Hot springs are considered rejuvenating in many cultures, from Asia to Europe. All that natural heat and the minerals from the earth flow through water and call throngs of people to come and enjoy the resorts that pop up around these wonders of the world. You, however, would never go to one. You're insecure about baring it all in public; maybe you don't even go out in public because your appearance would make the uncaring crowd lash out at you. Maybe it's just not your scene. You could not know anything about hot springs! But you're at one now, no matter what, and you're going to be taking a skinny dip - or near it - whether you like it or not. To make matters worse, you're sharing your little pool with someone else. Hey, you don't know them! This place could not even be in your world or your time. There's little options otherwise, though, so you might as well enjoy the time you're here. Soak and relax, let those tired muscles get a break. Soon, all your troubles, your worries, your ailments, your imperfections all begin to fade away...as do your misconceptions. You know this person, don't you? Yes, you do. Actually you know them very well. You're with them. You came with them, it seems to you, to reconnect, a lover's getaway. After all, what's more steamy than a hot springs? So go ahead, do what you've intended to do. No one will mind if you get a little frisky in the springs if it helps out your relationship; besides, what do you think some of the extra natural minerals are for? They'll certainly help you get hot under the collar, not that you'll need that. Your (new) mutual history should be enough. Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Include canon information and anything relevant to the meme, as well, if you'd like. All characters are welcome. Appropriate, inappropriate, serious, whatever. Reply to others. You can hash out your what your characters will eventually believe their shared history to be, or just put up a starter and play it by ear. Have fun!

They should have let him sleep. He should have stayed neatly frozen in the cryochamber he had helped design. He had been like a statue, perfectly formed, held together inside a matrix of trillions of tiny ice crystals.

He had be been thawed out long ago, he had been warm-blooded and alive for years since then. Usually he managed not to dwell on it, not anymore. Nothing could change the past, at least nothing that had been stably engineered. Usually. Although it came less and less frequently, when the ache returned it seemed even stronger than before, as if it had been gathering strength while lying dormant, biding its time until he found himself naked and all alone, defenseless against the ambush of bitter memories.

Khan sat perched on the rough rock surface that made up the borders of the small body of steaming warm water. It was bad enough that this scene brought to mind the melting process. If he were actually in the water then he would also feel as if he were dissolving into nothingness.

[ So the conclusion of one of their little joint training camps ended up getting hosted at an onsen instead of at one of the participating schools. Crazy, right? Must be some sort of therapeutic bullshit, or a way for the coaches to milk school funds for a little bit of relaxation before the big games start.

And wonder of wonders, this area is mostly unoccupied, though they should probably be careful anyway, lest someone from a nearby spring should chance to hear them. But what would they hear, really? It’s just the captains of two of the participating teams having a little break together, maybe goofing off as teenagers are wont to.

And that’s how it starts, with Kuroo dipping his bare-ass naked self into the pool alongside Sawamura, then sliding right over and at first, their conversation had been just about volleyball, and school, and preparing for college, but somewhere along the line…

Kuroo finally grins, poking Daichi in the ribs. ]

[Needless to say, the Sohoku Racing Team's been under quite a lot of stress this year, and so Kinjou had prepared a bit of a reward for his team for all their hard work. While Makishima and Onoda had gone off to visit Toudou-an, the rest of their team had decided that it'd be a bit unfair for them to be the only ones to visit an onsen, and so the others had taken a trip to Umi to Mori, a ryokan located east of Chiba. The place was beautiful, and most amazing of all, absolutely free. The owner happened to be a huge road racing fan and had decided to give the team free lodging for a day and night's stay for their victory at the Interhigh. It not only made the first and second years very happy but Kinjou's wallet as well.

It was late at night when he and Tadokoro decided to slip away from their underclassmen and take a dip in one of the private open-air baths given to them. While it was nice to have the company of the whole team, it just felt right to spend some time to reflect between old friends. Their biggest race of the year was over, summer was going to come to and end, and they'd be graduating soon. They wouldn't get a moment like this again anytime soon.

Kinjou's in nothing but a towel wrapped around his stomach that covers him to the tops of his thighs, another smaller towel on his shoulder. While he has his glasses on, he's currently using Tadokoro's arm for support to help lead him to the edge of the water... though it's not exactly willingly.]

Tadokoro, it's fine. My knee isn't bothering me very much. I can make it the rest of the way on my own.
