❝My Rescuer❞ Shipping Meme

There is no possible way the two of you could have gotten off on better footing. One of you saved the other. You were complete strangers - or just as good as - yet someone put aside that fact and swooped in when they saw trouble like a guardian angel, whether because of their own moral reasoning or just being at the right place at the right time. The one who was saved? Well, they can't help but be grateful to their rescuer...and, perhaps, all that high octane emotion will lead to more. After all, you've never felt so much towards one person.
Will you be able to finally have peace alongside this person, or is all really as it seems?
How to Play
- Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Is your character more likely to rescue, be rescued, or either?
- Reply to others.
- RNG for your prompt and thread!
Prompts
- No Hope: They were in a situation that looked incredibly bleak, such as being kidnapped or held prisoner. It was likely they would never see freedom or happiness again. That was something you couldn't stand for.
- Life Threatening: It was a simple accident, but it could have ended their life. You stepped in and pushed them out of the way or caught them as they fell.
- Harassment: Hey, leave them alone, pal! They clearly don't want your attention or your perverse remarks.
- Stand Up: You're being tormented and verbally abused by your peers. Finally, though, someone steps in and defends you.
- See Myself in You: They're different - like you are. You don't think they deserve to be treated this way...and neither would you.
- Ridiculous: Uh oh. A giant octopus is attacking you! Can anyone, will anyone save you from certain doom?
- Saved...From Boredom: Your life seemed like it was in black and white before this person introduced you to color.
- Superhero: Saving people is your job. Why is this case any different?
- Justice: What's happening before you is disgusting. You have to get justice for this victim; of course, that "justice" may also be needed for yourself and your sense of fragile reality.
- Spur of the Moment: Rescuing someone was never in your plan, but you couldn't pass up the chance.
- Love at First Sight: They saved you, and you fell. Or the other way around.
- Bring Back Happiness: All that was good has faded until you got a new lease on life.
- Guilt Complex: In the past, you failed. You'll never let anyone get hurt again.
- Not Only a Job: Technically, you were hired to take this person from their captor to another captor, yet in the end, you changed your mind.
- Warming Up: You can't help but soften towards someone you owe your life to.
- Honor Among Thieves: Your record may not be squeaky clean, but there are acts even you cannot condone.
- Gone Too Far: Your rage at seeing a living being treated this way has welled up, and the one who was victimized has to pull you back. Can they?
- Hurt Because of Me: In your defense, your savior has been injured. You feel a certain sense of sinking culpability.
- Patched Up: After the fight, both of you care for each others' mental and physical wounds.
- Who Rescued Who?: They may have physically saved you, but you emotionally saved them.
- The Truth Comes Out: You learned that your "rescue" was a fabrication to gain your trust. Has your relationship changed them? Even if it has, can you ever believe them again?
- All's Well: Once out of the limelight and out of harms way, you two can explore the prospect of getting to know each other better.
- Violent Delights Have Violent Ends: Your relationship ends as it began: with violence and despair.
- Doesn't Last: All of your attractions are a flash in the pan. When it comes down to it, you can't make it work between you when there's no danger to draw you close.

Nanoha couldn't help but admit that there were some days where crazy things could happen. Magic backfiring, plans going up in smoke, random octupus turning giant and turning the city into a bad B-grade movie. And, of course, it had to be when Nanoha was back on Earth. So much for keeping a low profile, especially since it decided to take a hostage or two...
"Hang on! Don't panic!" Nanoha called out, trying her best to keep the monster distracted while heading for one of the captured being held in its tentacles.

Though she could already imagine just how much takoyaki that an octopus that size would make. They could have a Tako PARTY! Maybe even break the world record for largest takoyaki! It would definitely give them the chance to make lots of experimental flavors! Her mind was racing with recipe ideas as she raced through the streets and toward the monster; which was much more difficult than she would have thought. Everyone was dead set on going the other direction.
"Takoyakiiiii~!" came her determined battle cry as she pressed onward toward the giant octopus.

"What is she--WOAH!" Nanoha yelped, barely dodging on tentacle before a second slammed into her, sending her spiraling out of control downward.

One of the hostages(?) looked like she'd already been thrown and was heading toward the ground at a dangerous speed.
"Aaaaa- Hinagiku! Lily! Baigon!" she called her faeries and with barely a thought they were racing toward the girl. Streaks of light, invisible to any but those in tune with the spiritual. If anyone happened to see Orihime, well, they'd probably just assume she was off on another of her daydreams and playing pretend. Against a giant octopus.
The real result, however, was a triangular shield that appeared beneath the girl to catch her fall. Maybe a little roughly, but a dozen times better than splatting into pavement. That tended to hurt.
"Tsubaki, do you like takoyaki?" she glanced to one of the remaining faeries as she ran toward the fallen girl.
no subject
"Ow... that... that was rough..." She looked back to see Orihime there. "You... saved me?"
no subject
She reached the girl quickly and- Good. She was still conscious. A little worse for the wear, but not too bad! Usually this was Kurosaki-kun's territory. She didn't really know how to play the hero. Not like this anyway.
"Ah- um! Yes? Sort of!" she managed, glancing nervous at their enemy's swift movements. They didn't have a lot of time for the usual heroic speeches and grandeur. Surely her favorite sentai warriors would be able to give a stirring speech in this sort of situation, like the sour plum filling of an onigiri, I will descend upon the tastebuds of the evil!
Hmm. Needed work.
"We should move! C...can you walk ok?"

[But Ocelot delayed his own retreat, heading through the mist with guns drawn, doing one last sweep for any staff left behind. He caught glimpses of the monsters through the haze, and surprisingly, they didn't seem to notice him in return. Instead, they appeared to all be focused on something, stalking in the same direction, towards--]
Miller!

[He knows they're coming for him, too.]
[He did his best to remain silent, damning the fact that the Boss won't be here to rescue him, that in his mind, he has no chance unless he stays well hidden under some stairs. But he can hear their footsteps. They know where he is... sort of.]
[Then he hears his name. Ocelot? Why would Ocelot come back for him? All Miller has on him is a pistol right now, in his holster, and that won't be able to hold off these guys. What would Ocelot's pistols do???]
[He doesn't have a clip to toss and distract them with, so he has to take a big risk. He takes his crutch and throws it, chucking it down the length of the platform to make a clatter as it catches on a latter. The things are ambling off to investigate. He has one chance.]
Ocelot! [He responds, before making the best effort he can to move in his direction. Not easy to be speedy on this kind of leg. And they come back quick, nearly on him before he can blink. All he can do is hit the ground and roll. Not again. He can't loose anything else to these things.]
no subject
I think you're the last one. You'd best hang on to me in case we have to run.
no subject
[If he could be gotten out of it.]
[These things, they had no intention of letting them get away alive. And Ocelot had seen the aftermath, what they had done to his bodyguards, to him.] Leave me if you have to. One of us has to make it for the Boss. [And he knows he's the one motherbase can exist without, at this point.]
no subject
[He begins to move, but his path is quickly blocked. He scowls and backs up instead, pulling Kaz with him. But it's a wall behind them. No door, but a big pipe runs up the side. Which he could climb if he didn't have his hands full. Still, maybe there was another use for it, if it was the right kind of pipe. Ocelot wasn't much for base development... better ask the man next to him.]
Miller, does this thing pump saltwater? I might have an idea.
no subject
Let me use one of your pistols while you do what you need to do.
[Six shots. Six shots could keep them distracted, right? He hopes.]
no subject
[Ocelot reloads the chambers at world record pace and passes a revolver to Kaz.]
Just... twist your elbow to absorb the recoil. And watch out for the ricochet.
[He turns his attention to the pipe, and quickly fires at it. ...Nothing, the bullet bounced off into the distance. But there's a dent. He frowns, focuses, and levels his aim. The gun discharges again, hitting exactly on the dent, making it deeper. If he aims perfectly, one more should do it, if Kaz is buying him the time he needs.]
no subject
[Then he shoots again. This time he gets it square in the face.]
[Does it again with another one. They're changing positions rapidly now, but their actual advance is slower. What time Ocelot needed, he has it.]
no subject
[And it works. The Skulls make inhuman noises of pain and jerk wildly as the salt burns their parasites. It's too much for them. All they can do is spring away and vanish in full retreat. The mist begins to clear.]
no subject
[Soaking wet now, lord knows where his beret has gone, and he finally pulls back enough to offer Ocelot his gun back.] Quick thinking. [A rare compliment. But his hackles are settling now that the skulls are gone. He doesn't even know where he left his crutch. His blond hair is wet and half in his face. He can taste salt in his mouth. His heart is still pounding from a very real fear.]
How did they find us? [He's suspicious sounding, angry, but this close, his eyes behind his glasses betray that ebbing terror he's still feeling. It was far too close for comfort. It's the only way he can deal with that.]
no subject
What's wrong, not going to chew me out for destroying base property?
[Looking in the direction the Skulls disappeared in, his smile sobers away.]
Don't know. I'll put the intel team to work finding that out.
no subject
[Once he's upright the holds out his arm.] Help me out... [He doesn't usually ask a lot of people for help. Other than Snake, he shrugs them off as quickly as possible. He doesn't like to have to use the soldiers as support. He doesn't like to put himself into that position of vulnerability.]
[Ocelot came back for him, though. The man can be intolerable. That's worth something, though. That he didn't just leave him there.]
no subject
Careful, Miller. You just might catch a cold in those wet clothes and miss out on me bringing you a bowl of soup.
no subject
[He just knows that those things make him afraid, just like Quiet does. And then he replaces that fear with anger and protective paranoia. A desire to be safe. But that safety has just been ripped from him. He's not setting about his ruthless decisions yet, but they're at the tip of his tongue.]
I'll change as soon as I can get to my room. [He takes that route instead.]

[Closed to tanteiotaku]
And that someone, according to eyewitnesses, was a Roidmude. The data they collected do confirm usage of Slowdown, which does fit what had apparently happened. From what she and her partner could piece together, this 'private eye' tried to put on a Rider Belt, but wasn't able to transform before the Slowdown was triggered.
Now, after a lot of footwork and info-gathering on the Shift Cars' part, Kiriko had tracked them down to a hide-out near the docks. She knelt behind a large crate as she spoke to Midnight Shadow and Proto-Speed.]
Are you sure they're in there?
[Proto beeped an affirmative. Both the kidnapper and the new Rider.
Midnight chimes in with some slashing. The Rider's tied up, with his equipment out of his reach.]
Okay... I need you two to go find the others, and lead them here. I'll try and get this other Rider free and get his equipment back to him.
[Both Shift Cars beeped affirmative responses before speeding off.
Kiriko stands, takes a deep breath, and then carefully sneaks her way into the building. She's already got Dimension Cab and Dream Vegas in her Shift Car holster, so she's not worried if a Slowdown is triggered. Her main concern is the kidnapping victim, and on getting him freed.]
Re: [Closed to tanteiotaku]
His belt was taken, and his connection to his partner with it. Hopefully Terui could get the information where it needed to be. Before this Roidmude asshole figured out what he needed a hostage for.
He was tied into a chair and the Roidmude was busy with some kind of device. He didn't give any kind of clue as to what it was for, he only hummed under his breath as he worked. He'd already ignored one volley of expletives from the crotchety detective. Shotaro didn't display any obvious wounds but he had taken a hell of a kick to the ribs earlier.
This is the worst.... [He grumbled. What a display for a rookie Rider to see his sempai in.]
no subject
Kiriko, meanwhile, quietly sneaked along the catwalk above, taking great care to not make any sounds that can carry. There's a stairwell nearby, and she started climbing down it when she realized that Shoutarou could see her. She put her lips to her fingers - the universal signal for silence. Best to not let his captor know of her presence yet.]
no subject
He glanced to one side with a smirk. Maybe she deserves a kiss for this. It was probably a little backward, but considering she was here to save his sorry ass, he wasn't going to complain too much.
Or maybe she would kiss him in a fit of making sure he was okay. Wouldn't that be nice?
This was a really bad time to wander off in a fit of daydreaming, Shotaro.]
no subject
Thankfully, it's not until Shoutarou's deep into his daydreaming and Kiriko's managed to sneak closer that the Roidmude turned around to look at his captive.]
And what's with that silly grin on your face?
[The police officer freezes behind a set of boxes upon hearing that remark.]
