SNEAKING around

[ooc: That sounds good to me. Any specific ideas for scene? Pre-movie or post-movie?]

[ooc: I'm absolutely open to anything! Pre-movie, maybe? Before things start going completely to shit?]

[ooc: That works! Want to say the relationship is already established or play it out?]

[ooc: Choices are impossible! I'm so bad with them - but I do admit to liking the idea of at the very least, dancing around the subject. I'm just about to leave for work, but if you want to start, I can toss her in when I get there.]

[She's supposed to be delivering a parcel to General Organa but arranges for a stop along the way at the location where she's retrieving the parcel itself. It's a desert planet, much like the one she had grown up on, but lacks the ruins and fallen ships waiting to be salvaged.

The meeting place she insists upon is as private as a bustling town with a crowded marketplace can offer, a dark and empty shop that looks like it hasn't been used in decades. The stand she's supposed to get the parcel from is a several rows away. A safe enough distance away that no one from the resistance will take notice of her in the area hours early.

She waits for him to arrive in the darkest corner of the room, impatient as she knows she doesn't have long to spare. She's well aware he won't need to see her to know exactly where she is in the room so even as she hears the sound of someone entering she doesn't move or speak. Her hand grips hold of her weapon tighter and she prepares to strike if it's not him.]

Show yourself. Now.

You act as if you didn't expect me.

[ Even through the filter of his helmet he sounds amused as he rounds the corner, taking no pains to hide his entrance through the heavy curtain that hung in place of a door. Kylo Ren lingers in the doorway, his posture relaxed and unhurried, and even knowing he's here for other reasons his light saber hangs heavy on his hip. ]

Have you waited long?

[It is easier for her to act like she isn't expecting him. It's a lie to say that out loud because she knows it's partially a lie. She's the one that initiated this meeting.

Of course she's expecting him. That's the only reason why she relaxes and pushes herself out of her dark corner and walks to the center of the room. She's stubborn and is determined to not be the one that closes the distance between them. ]

Long enough to wonder if you were coming.

[It's a lie meant to be humor. She's relaxed enough to smile but her eyes look past him briefly, to see if he's alone.]

I'm a very busy man.

[ He's still amused, the smile traveling through the blank face of his helmet in his voice. There was no way he was going to miss this meeting, if not only for his own desires, he knows this is the way to complete the order he had so thoroughly failed at back on star killer base. Every high octane meeting slipped between their worlds creates more pockets for the dark side to settle, for her to see the truth in the strength of his order.

Having her wrapped in his arms wasn't half bad either. When Rey stops Kylo Ren moves to meet her, not hesitating to invade her personal space. He stares down at her for a moment before letting his fingers brush down her arms slowly. ]

It's been a while.

You're not the only one that's busy.

[She can hear the smile in his tone and it makes her own smile wider. Her smiling doesn't stop her eyebrow from arching and she laughs, almost taunting him even as she shifts to step further into his space.

She's well aware that he enjoys their meetings as much as she did, but is also equally aware of the fact that she has more to lose from their time spent together than he does.

Her eyes look down to his fingers on her arm, then back up to his helmet. She doesn't hesitate in reaching up to remove it for him. She prefers his real face and actual voice to the figure that always initially shows up for their meetings. She's not naive enough to believe that he becomes a different man when his face is bared, but she enjoys that it makes him vulnerable and exposed to her.]

If you wanted to meet more often, you know how to reach me. Do you really think I'd tell you no if you asked to see me?

[ The air is cool on his skin as she pulls his helmet off, softer than the intimidating wall of metal he wore to hide it, though the ragged scar that carved itself up his face left it more hardened then when he first met her. His fingers move up to her neck, running through the fallen strands of hair there as his smile fades to something more pensive. ]

I'm not the one keeping this secret. If I had my way you'd be with me all the time.

[Her skin rises to goosebumps when he touches at her neck and she exhales a long breath. Her eyes close briefly, then open to him. It's with a somber look that echoes his own that she brings her hand up to touch at the scar on his face.]

And can you imagine how it would be if you always had your way?

[It's said with a sad sense of amusement, and she trails her fingertips down his scar until she reaches his cheek. The same fingertips move down to his mouth then, and touch lightly at his lips.]

We have to give it time. Wait for there to balance.

[Or for him to allow her to bring him home to his mother. She moves her hand away so she can crouch down and place his helmet on the ground. When she rises, she takes away his ability to fully respond by pressing her lips against his.]

[ She says balance but he knows which way her path is leaning. It's inevitable that one day she'll fall into the dark side when she falls into his arms. He would have rather been spared the scar and this sneaking around. They could have accomplished so much together by now. But he's not willing to let her go so easily.

His thoughts are derailed though the moment she kisses him, his arms instinctively weaving around her waist to pull her closer. He's all intensity, rough wandering hands and brushes of teeth before he pulls away to kiss her exposed neck, breath hot on her skin. ]

How much time? You can't keep hiding this forever.

[This is dangerous. Being here with him makes her dangerous. It makes her afraid of what her friends will think of her if they ever find out. She thinks of those things when she's alone, in between seeing him. When they're together like this, all that she can focus on is him.

His dark and rough intensity is matched by her equally intense but light and gentle attention. His hands wander but her touch is deliberate, gently pressing against his chest and the back of his head as she holds him close to her. Her fingers curl into his hair when his mouth finds her neck, and she tries to hold in a sigh at his question.]

We will hide it as long as we need to. It's not only the Resistance who would want to do something about our being together.

[His mouth pays attention to a particularly sensitive area of her neck and she gasps, fingers tightening in his hair so she can pull his head up. She needs to look him directly in the eye when she speaks again.]

I've told you before. Don't ask how long, I don't have an answer. And I won't, not until I know what we'll become.

[She doesn't know what his intentions with this relationship are. What she means to him, what he means to her, what their fate is meant to be. She needs to figure out how they fit together and what their future could ever hope to be before she can think about making their relationship known to others.]
