FOOLING AROUND Somewhere further than making out yet not quite going all the way, "fooling around" is a time honored tradition. It's easy, low-pressure, and there are no real parameters - above the clothes or not. Sound good? Maybe you're young and want to try but not commit to anything too carnal. Similarly, you could want to explore somebody's, well, body because they're so different than you. There's also the possibility that you want to make them happy or see how they react to feeling beyond great. Could it be that you're a tease, even? Or you could just be bored. There's nothing on TV, anyway. Comment with your character, info, preferences (gender, age appropriate characters only, etc), and hard limits (no smut, fade to black, graphic smut a-okay, etc.). [ How in the world do they have this much summer homework? Ennoshita left hours ago, but Tanaka still keeps an ear out for footsteps near his bedroom door. Maybe it's just paranoia, but he's sure once he gets too comfortable someone is going to come busting in with a snide comment about them doing school work.

Thankfully Saeko is out, so there's one less chance his privacy will be invaded on. Good thing, too, because he's finding his interest quickly fading from Mt.Shit-to-do over to his friend. Noya has to be sick of filling in blanks and boxes, right? Right.

Tanaka drops his pencil, stretches his arms over his head with an overly-vocal groan and crawls over to sit next to Noya. If the fact that he's up in his pal's personal space isn't hint enough that he's done doing homework, then the fact that he leans his head down on Noya's shoulders should.

Or his hand, which can be found and felt sliding over top of one of Noya's thighs. ]

[ Finn isn't used to downtime, and he's quickly learning to hate it. He still hasn't shaken the routine of waking up to morning rounds, blearily running reports, the blur of PT and site assignments. Lately, it's been all trail-blazing and hell-raising too, so he never gets a chance to think like he's been doing lately.

Here on D'Qar, there is just waiting, waiting, and more waiting. Dr. Kalonia still hasn't cleared him for his return to Resistance duty and has forbidden him from leaving the med center. Finn is honoring her orders by scowling at the pneumatic door as it hisses shut and making lewd gestures once it's closed. He can see his reflection impressed upon the steel, and it isn't pretty: he looks wild and worn-out at the same time. He definitely needs a... a hobby, or something, to pass this time away.

He settles for sneaking into one of the camouflaged Resistance hangars. It's early enough that none of the techs are here yet, so he's free to nose around the X-wings and control paneling without anyone inquiring about his hospital gown and lack of proper footwear. It's when he starts going through flight logs that he really loses himself in what he's doing, because he types in the one name he remembers how to spell and starts reading about a trip to Jakku, and pilot statistics, and starts trawling for more. Poe's picture flashes up on the screen in front of him, and Finn keys in the command to backtrack through his logs, his shoulders tense with guilt -- but not too tense. ]

[normally bokuto was perfectly fine waiting out a gaming session. he always had something to busy himself with to stave off his boredom. well. usually. he didn't mind watching when the game was exciting, but when it was all... strategic and like a board game? he lost interest quickly.

[It's always a mission that brings Illya to Sokovia. It's a fact that Wanda is well aware of--has been well aware of for months now, and something she accepts. How could she not, when all too often they work together, Wanda serving as an informant for he and his team? Of course, it doesn't mean that what time they spend together is all business, just that it's harder to come by and perhaps all the more treasured for its rarity.

So, maybe Wanda has work tomorrow at the lunch shift, and yes, Illya has to be up bright and early, but at this very moment they both have the evening to themselves. Napoleon is out, and he's taken Pietro with him, leaving them both with the twins' small apartment to themselves. Settled on the couch with Illya's head in her lap, she strokes her fingers through his hair idly, full from dinner and just pleased to have this quiet moment alone with him. Her fingertips trail across his forehead, around the side of his face.]

How long are you in town this trip?

[It's never long enough, and every time he makes it back to Novi Grad, Wanda becomes even more acutely aware of that fact. Still, she's determined not to let it ruin her evening, to not let it consume her so much that she's reduced to watching the clock and counting down those minutes until they have to part ways once again.]

Fooling around? Perhaps, but after such a long strenuous day, coming back to something slow, playful and loving is something Nanoha really doesn't mind, especially with Miku. Simple, playful kisses as the two relax in bed, Nanoha opting to wear her Barrier Jacket both to let Miku have fun with the "dominant" Nanoha, that dreaded "White Devil", and to let her own guard down, as if saying she trusts her enough to allow her to do this.

[A nice night, a good dinner (which just means she's well fed), and a comfortable situation between the two of them is all it takes for the energetic girl to get a little clingy. Hat off and hair down from her usual updo, she almost looks like she's ready to turn in for the night with how relaxed she looks. However, a lot of it has to do Zed being next to her right now and the fact he doesn't seem to be fighting her grip. Not yet, anyway.]

How long do you plan on staying over? [Truly an innocent question. If he said he wanted to leave now, she would reluctantly let go. She's gotten past the clingier side of her that wouldn't allow it, but he would get a barrage of text messages as a result with emojis to decipher.]

[Time travel. That's. A new one. Although maybe not new in the sense that she's the first. Her first week was a whirlwind. Her second spent looking up old friends and family. The gap she left in history wasn't glaring. She's listed as being MIA during the war, in the very private files she can get her hands on. Most organizations were loathe to admit the use of female spies.

Her parents, as far as she can tell, never knew what she was really doing in Europe. Only a few of the gals at Victory Munitions could've even come close to figuring it out, and now--

She breathes. The world still needs spies. She's good at it. Victory Munitions had given her a purpose she loved, but the War-- the frontlines had been her home for the better part of a year. She wakes to a world that needs those talents more than ever.

It takes her months to get properly acclimated. Oh, the technology's a breeze (she adores modern lingerie) and the people aren't different, only-- women aren't near as looked down on as she remembers (in the right places, among the right people. The progress is small, but it's there.) and half the armies the world over allow women to serve, really serve. How many of her gals back home would've jumped at the chance, huh? To really be soldiers? She would've, in a heartbeat.

It's the thing that keeps her grounded in the future, the thing that keeps her sharp and keen. SHIELD takes her in, because they seem to specialize in all manner of folks that've been, as it was explained to her, 'temporally displaced'. She's heard of Captain Rogers, after all. Who hasn't? She never met the fellow in the War, but by all accounts he was a decent man.

Natasha's her handler for the first months, and is of great help in getting her up to date on all manner of things. Gladys can use a pistol with the best of them, and got to be a crack shot with a rifle, but her right hook's a little lacking, and Nat teaches her a thing or two, or ten. Gladys even stays with her a while, while SHIELD tries to sort out the mess of her citizenship, her MIA status, the whole nine yards. As far as the modern world is concerned, she's completely without identity.

And the Witham name ended with her.

It's a lonely existence, but she's been lonely before. It just makes her all the more determined to find a home for herself here, which is exactly why one day when Natasha comes home with an armful of groceries, Gladys goes to take them from her and then kisses her very abruptly, unplanned and inelegant.

She isn't like Betty, only interested in kissing other women. But she's always been a little in love with love, and no one seems to care near as much in the future as they did in Toronto in the 40s.]

Um. [Breathless,] Hi. Nat, I-- sorry, I. Here, let-- me take those.

[He doesn't have a boyfriend. He's got-- a fella, something undefined and amorphous. Steve does not do degrees of love, there is no entry level to his affection. He loves someone, or he doesn't. What he felt (still feels) for Peg isn't any different, really, than what he feels for Buck, for Nat, for Sam.

It just so happens that Sam's the intersection, where love stuttered to a halt on physicality. It ain't so much about propriety, about modern attitudes towards sexual proclivities. Steve was never much anchored by societal mores. It's just the way it happened: they kissed once, in the rain, both equally surprised by the action. They didn't talk about it for a while, until the pressure built and blew. From there it was something that resembled the dates of Steve's youth, that Buck used to regale him with. Movies, holding hands once or twice in the park. It was never anything particularly self-conscious, they fell into it like they'd always been heading for it, with meteoric certainty.

It's 0600. They've gone for a morning jog, and Sam's making enough pancakes in the kitchen to feed an army. Steve sidles up behind him, wraps his arms around him and kisses at his neck. Neither of them have shaved.]
