There's never a bad time for cuddles!

Cuddle Bug

One of the best parts of having a boyfriend, girlfriend, lover, crush, or mutual-feels-sharer is that you also have an almost-guaranteed cuddle buddy. From the bubbly butterflies to the most sullen of assholes, pretty much everyone wants affectionate contact sometimes, so whether it be laying your head on your partner's lap, holding their hand, falling asleep on them, bumping foreheads, snuggling close and tucking yourself under their chin, or even just touching shoulders, don't fight the urge! Hug it out.

In public, in private, on a date, watching a movie, riding along on the back of a dragon, it doesn't matter where you are. Or maybe it does to you, but the benefits of being close absolutely outweigh the risks.

Take your time, too, especially if you're not used to this sort of intimacy. Cuddling doesn't have a shelf life!

Comment with your character, preferences, and the like. Some characters are going to be uncomfortable with or unused to touch, so if yours may require some extra legwork or plotting, you can mention that, too.

[OK i admit asahi is a great big spoon, but you know who's a better big spoon? Noya. Down?]

[Absolutely! He could always use some snuggles from his guardian libero!]

[Yay! Hope this works!]

Really, Asahi thinks too much. Or, rather, he worries too much. "Asahi," Noya finally said, turning to look up at him. They were perched on the edge of Asahi's bed and Noya was fairly sure there was a panic attack about to happen or something. "Come here." He scooted back on the bed, taking Asahi's hand as he went. "Lay down." He grabbed the quilt off the end of the bed and shook it out. He pulled it over himself, up to his shoulders, and stared at Asahi with a rather imperious expression on his face. "On your side."

There had been an awful lot of painful tightness in Asahi's chest, and he was starting to hate himself for being so unable to just enjoy his boyfriend's company. So when Noya started giving him orders, he was loathe to disobey; aside from giving him something to focus on, Asahi knew that whatever Noya did, it was probably only going to help the situation.

That said, he was blushing and more than a little embarrassed as he crawled up his bed and laid awkwardly beside Noya, with just his head poking out of the covers.

"I'm sorry..."

Noya smiled. "You're not allowed to say sorry the rest of the night, okay?" He said, then curled up behind Asahi, dragging the quilt over top of them both. He draped an arm and a leg over him, then pressed his face into Asahi's broad back. "Just breathe." He moved his hand so it was resting over Asahi's heart - it was beating hard under his palm, like a little bird's wings. "You gotta relax, or you're gonna have a heart attack, alright?

With Noya behind him, Asahi couldn't see any where the next touch was going to come from; this made it especially exciting with Noya threw his leg over Asahi's, pressed the compact muscle of his chest into his back, and let his nose brush between Asahi's shoulder blades. Noya's smaller hand cupped Asahi's heart protectively, and when he told Asahi to calm down, Asahi couldn't help but laugh.

"How can I relax with you so close?" He murmured, realizing only after the words came out how they could easily be misinterpreted. He hoped that his tone was enough to give away his true meaning, without him having to spell out what having Nishinoya curled around him did to him.

Noya grinned into Asahi's back. "At least stop hunching your shoulders," he said, squirming around to get a bit more comfortable. "Also maybe if you relax, we can have some fun." He playfully nipped at Asahi's back, then nuzzled the spot with his cheek.

His other hand reached up and carefully pulled Asahi's hair loose of its tail, spilling it out over the pillow above Noya's head.

Asahi gasped when he felt Noya's teeth nipping at his skin, even with a shirt in between. A little shudder followed when Noya rubbed the spot, and rather than helping him relax, the intimate attention only made him more worked up.

"I don't... Do I want to know what kind of fun you're talking about?" He asked, speaking mostly into his pillow out of nerves and embarrassment. Having his hair played with eased that a little bit, since it was such a soothing gesture, and in spite of himself he found he was sighing softly at the sensation of fingertips stroking his scalp.

[ooc: definitely not difficult to get to cuddle. in fact, open for friend cuddliness as much as shippy. assumed cr is fine!]

[As a lazy creature, he'll insist on dragging you down or sitting at least.Slow to start but very cuddly when down to it.]

[He's fluffy and has ears that are just made for petting.]

[Chara growls.] Fine. [They awkwardly wrap their arms around Asriel. Pat pat.]

[Asriel tenses up for a moment.] Ch...Chara? [He is not truly used to this ending well for anyone who ended up in their arms.]

[If they were carrying anything sharp, you'd be feeling it by now, Azzy. Enjoy it while it lasts.]

What?

[He knew that, which was why he started to.. un-tense, a bit.]

Are you... okay?

I'm fine. [voluntarily touching others is just really really weird.]

It's just that.. you don't... usually touch me without a knife in your hand. [Well.. he's not wrong.]

I gotta be prepared in case you start beating me up, you know? [Though by now, the idea of Asriel bullying them is laughable.]

[Asriel replies, gently,] But I won't. Do you still...want to cut my skin so badly...?

Why would I? I have no reason to.

I would rather you cut me than yourself...

Dammit Asriel! Why did you bring that up? Just... shut up, okay? Shut up...! [With that, they cling harder to Asriel, hoping to hug him into silence.]

[And silence is what they would get, but not stillness. Though Asriel clung to them hard, it wouldn't stop him from shuddering, a result of his extreme concern for them.]

[She won't exactly know how to cuddle in the beginning...however, she will steal the covers.]

[Sometimes there were days when they didn't have practice or it was only a meeting day that Suga would make some time to hang out with Asahi. Despite his teasing and his gentle, yet firm way he would get Asahi out of his funk he was one of his close friends. Lately they didn't get a chance to hang out, especially with Nationals coming up along with their finals. Something Suga wanted to change.

Today he wouldn't be hanging out with Daichi. While Suga always enjoyed hanging out with his boyfriend, he knew when they couldn't. It didn't bother him, he would always see him next time. He meant to hang out with Asahi a bit earlier when things came up more often than he thought for both of them. With an opening in their schedules, they could hang out with each other.

They decided to meet up at Asahi's home to chill out with a couple of movies and snacks. Suga didn't bring over his horror movies, he knew how much they scared Asahi, he bought a few romantic comedies instead. They put the movie on, had the snacks out, and sat comfortably on the couch. Suga looked up at Asahi and took the pocky stick out his mouth.]

So, how are things? I know it might sound silly to say, but we've been so busy lately we haven't had time to talk even at lunch. How is everything?

[ hanging out with sugawara is always a pretty welcome thing. there's a reason that he has the nickname 'refreshing' -- just being around him is enough to make people feel better, like he always knows just what to say to ease your mind and lift your worries. and besides that, he's one of asahi's best friends; it's a shame they don't have more time to spend together, but between volleyball and... erm, nishinoya, asahi's social calendar has been all but stuffed to the gills. ]

Well, um... [ he reaches up with a slightly sheepish smile, rubbing at the back of his neck. ] I guess everything is the same as always? It's been a little crazy, trying to balance school and volleyball...

But it's worth it, right? We're finally on the way to nationals.

[Suga nodded with an excited grin.] We are! I'm so happy that we made it. We did it! It does feel like a dream sometimes that we beat the toughest school in the region. When we did it! I know we'll do great in nationals too. [He couldn't keep the happy grin off his face as he thought about nationals. A goal that they worked so hard towards for years, finally happened. They had an amazing team, he knew they would make it.

Suga reached for a box of pocky before he looked up at Asahi.] Oh, I don't think everything is quite the same as it used to be. How are things going with you and Noya? [Suga wanted to ask for awhile when schedules and all distracted him. He was so happy for them. It was very cute to see too.]

It does, doesn't it?

[ and he can't help a little laugh, rubbing at the nape of his neck. ]

I still have to pinch myself every once in awhile, just to make sure it's still real...

[ ... but.

asdlkfj!! ]

[ he nearly fumbles the box of snacks that he'd reached for, only managing a recovery at the last moment. ]

A-Ah... [ look how Totally Cool he is being right now!! totally cool!! totally convincing!! ] I, um, I'm not sure what you mean...

[ is his voice a slightly higher pitch?? no way!! it's just your imagination!! ]

Nishinoya's the s-same as ever, isn't he?

[As always Asahi is so smooth. Suga saw the difference between them, he had a feeling, but it always fun to tease Asahi. Did his voice become slightly higher? Oh yeah today would be fun. Suga smile turned mischievous as he shook his head.]

Hmm, I think there's something a bit different about him. He looks happier when he's with you. So, want to tell me how you two are doing Asahi? Or I guess too that wouldn't be too hard to do.

[ aklsjd. have they really been that obvious...?

... then again, hiding things from suga probably requires a level of talent that asahi will never possess. ]

A-Ah, well, I... um...

-- Ah, look!

[ pointing at the TV!! in a last-ditch effort to distract suga!! ]

The movie's starting! You don't want to miss anything, do you?

[Suga does keep his eye on the court after all, it would be hard for him not to notice any change between them. He's noticed the slight change in Asahi too along with that smile he gives when he thinks no one is looking. Suga finished his pocky and reached for another. He had a question already in mind for Asahi when he pointed to the tv.

Well, he did want to watch the movie. He really didn't have time for that as much anymore between school and practice. Then again teasing Asahi was always fun.

Alright Asahi they'll watch the movie though it won't be the easiest. Well, for Asahi.]

I do want to see this one. Okay, I'll ask my questions when it's over, though I do have one more to ask before we look at it. Do you think Noya would like this movie Asahi? I have a feeling you would know about that. [There you go Asahi, something to think about!]

E-Erm...

[ it's... obvious... that he's doing his absolute best to see if there's something in that question (or in his resulting answer) that could pin him down for having a relationship with nishinoya behind the scenes!! it... seems safe on the surface?? but then again!! suga can be very sneaky... ]

... this movie, you mean? I, uh... maybe? Doesn't he normally like movies that are a little more... um... well, the kind where a lot of things explode?

[Now Asahi Suga only wants to know about his two very good friends! If it lead to knowing that he was in a relationship with Noya well then he could congratulate them. It would also confirm something he knew was happening.]

He does like those type of movies. I thought you didn't watch a lot of those movies though.
