What's all that bumping and stomping coming from next door?! This is supposed to be a nice high-rise in a good part of town!
-Post with your character. -You're a resident at a nice high-rise apartment in the big city. (You might have lived there a long time or just moved in yourself - up to you. Maybe mention what activity you're in the middle of doing at home when the racket starts up?) -People who reply are noisily moving in to the apartment next door. -Thread out your arguments, offers to help, and new-neighbor meet-and-greets!
Perhaps in another lifetime that'd be a perfectly viable career option. But (Iskander gestures grandly, before hooking a left to the stairs that lead down to the ground floor. Why bother waiting for the elevator?) There are far too many things to do, and advising isn't within my skill set.
(But there's a more intriguing question involved here.)
(Achilles nods and heads down the stairs with Iksander.)
I understand. I would probably be in the same position as yourself if it weren't for the Army. Men with our skills have limited options it would appear.
(Achilles shrugs)
Not really. There was that time Patroclus and I went to Greece for the Summer, but, other than that the only travelling I've done is with the Army. What about you? Do you travel?
[Achilles looks confused for a moment and then smile a little.]
Uh...well, I am Achilles and my partner is Patroclus...so...yeah, I guess so. I suppose neither of them are that common a name, you heard of Patroclus?
[heads over to the truck and picks up a large box.]
Then to save you any disappointment I wI'll admit to having heard of you, albeit by another name.
[As Achilles walks back into the apartment he heads towards the living room area with his box. Placing it down gently. He tears off the tape on it and looks in head. He shakes his head and smiles fondly. He mumbles, mostly to himself]

(But there's a more intriguing question involved here.)
Do you ever travel for your own enjoyment then?

That combination is.
Well fuck.)
Hold up, hold up. You're genuinely that Achilles and Patroclus?

(Iskander's quick to look for a box that's larger. More ungainly, just for the sake of showing off.)</small. I dare say I grew up hearing of you both.

[he turns and starts walking back to the building.]
That's...cool. What do they say about us?
no subject
(Iskander's careful with the box he has in his arms now, knowing that he can't see where his feet are going thanks to the length of the box.)
I'm happy to do either, but I'd like to know which I should be catering to.

[Achilles laughs as he starts to walk up the stairs]
Genuinely, it's an honest question. I can't imagine what they'd say.

[Achilles laughs and shakes his head.]
Surely not. Would it be too insulting to say that I have not heard of you?
no subject
I wouldn't take it personally, but I'd be a bit disappointed.

What does he need all these for.
[The box is full of books.]

[Iskander thunks the box in his arms down beside the other, his eyes darting to look at the contents of what Achilles has set down.]
It's hardly wise to excise the body and not the mind.
no subject
[he flashes Iksander a grin before turning back to the box, picking up one of the books.]
I agree, but he has half these medical texts memorised already. Not to mention that's the fifth box I've brought up here that's been full of books.

--You've set aside some kind of library space though, right?
