1. Shadow Play. Something terrible is happening to you, but that's okay because you know it's all just a dream. And nothing anyone says or does can convince you otherwise.

2. A Penny for Your Thoughts. Due to a cosmic improbability, you now have the ability to hear other people's thoughts. Good luck with that.

3. The Chaser. Congratulations! That one person you love but thought would never love you back? Well, let's say they drank a little love potion, guaranteed to create some good old-fashioned personality-destroying obsessive love. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

4. It's a Good Life. You're basically a god. Do whatever you want.

5. A Piano in the House. You're not sure what's come over you, but suddenly all those emotions and thoughts you've been holding back are spilling out all at once. Unburdening is supposed to be good for the soul, right?

6. Person or Persons Unknown. It's just another unremarkable day... for everyone else. For you, you just woke up into a reality where no one knows who you are or remembers you exist.

7. Where is Everybody? Everyone else has vanished, leaving you and your RP partner to wander an eerily abandoned world. Guess you're running the show now.

8. The Parallel. This is your life. Well, it's a life that belongs to some version of you. Maybe it's not what you remember, but it's yours now, so might as well make the best of it.

Something was different, and that woke Bart out of his usually sound sleep. While he might be rather restless getting to bed, once there, he tended to stay that way until the alarm went off. This morning, however, with just a ghost of early morning sunlight peeking through the curtains of his room at Titans Tower, Bart was very much awake.

He stayed frozen, trying to filter through sleep-hazed senses to figure out just what was off, and then he figured it out. There was someone curled up against him, and even the dim light was more than sufficient to tell him it wasn't Rose. Ravager rarely spent the entire night with him, and it was so common that he didn't even rouse when she left to go do whatever she did.

That was why in a heartbeat, he was across the room, throwing open the window to see just what the hell was going on. Not only wasn't the girl in bed his sometimes girlfriend, she was a complete stranger.

Saw the effects of Death everyday. Lifeless bodies lay on the slabs so she could peer over them, searching for the cause. What Death left behind was becoming her focus, her specialty, shoving aside back her original training on bones, on joints, orthopaedic surgery - couldn't get a consult to save her life, so what was the use of following that dream?

Sometimes saw Death out of the corner of her eye, but when she locked right at him, it was only Sherlock in his great black coat, the collar turned up to protect from whatever stalked him. Sherlock who had jumped after asking for her help, help to survive, a trick, an illusion, and she had done everything he asked. Afterwards he had been brought to the lab and, after getting cleaned up, she had boxed him up with a tank of oxygen in a plywood box and shipped him off to France, to people his brother knew. Sherlock had left in this secret way to chase down Moriarty's network, at least that was the conversation the brothers had as she prepared the container.

Then why did he keep appearing in reflections in mirrors and glass, the steel surfaces of the tables, on the blade of a scalpel, of a saw?

Heard his rumbling voice correcting her, commenting and answering when she peered over the latest person Death laid out on her table, belittling and bringing color to her pale cheeks. Wished Sherlock would stop and go back to what he was supposed to be doing, at the same time his presence pushed back the silence that had settled after he left, following his interests elsewhere. The longer her imagination kept him here, the less she pretended that he was just imaginary. Silly, knew she was silly, but what she did in the privacy of her workspace was her own business.

When Greg came to look over a murder victim that had been dropped off at A&E, she must have said something wrong, because she saw first confusion then worry. Laughed it off, a joke, only a joke, it was only Sherlock would have said...not that he actually did. That would be ridiculous.

[He doesn't notice at first. Of course he doesn't. His house is always empty. He thinks it odd he doesn't see the cook bustling in the kitchen when he comes in for breakfast (he always comes in for breakfast because he needs to grab cheese for Plagg). The tray is there with everything, so he takes to the dining room to eat. Nathalie would usually bring him an update of his schedule, but she doesn't today, so he assumes nothing has changed.]

[He eats, he goes through his morning routine, makes sure there's no signs of his late night, and for all intents and purposes, he looks 'perfect.' Like he's supposed to be.]

[It's not until he tries to find Plagg that he starts to suspect. Or rather, how he ends up looking for Plagg for thirty minutes, and no one's come to bug him about running late.]

[He can't find Plagg. He's not in his usual sleeping spots, his bag, nowhere. He still has his ring, just no kwami, and he's worried. Plagg is never just...gone. He knows something is wrong by the time he makes it outside, and he doesn't see the Gorilla in the driveway. He would be waiting by now, just idle until either Adrien showed up, or he was sent away.]

[He tries to find anyone, any of the staff in his home, or Nathalie, or even his father. But there's no one, even when he shouts and runs down the halls.]

[He turns on the TV finally, switches to the news. The cameras were rolling, but the set was empty. The scrolling words displaying nothing at all.]

[There is a growing dread as he grab his phone and starts going through his contacts. First Nathalie. Nothing. Then Nino. Still nothing. And then he just starts going through his contacts one by one, hoping for an answer as he ventures outside, and he realizes how quiet Paris is. A quiet he's never heard before from the city.]
