Despite the romanticism surrounding the emotion, it can be difficult to be loved completely — not just the beautiful parts of us, but also the sad parts, the injured parts, the hidden and less-than-pleasant parts. There are marks on us, both physical and mental, that we'd often rather forget. The mental ones can just be easier to hide. As for physical scars, they can be off of our minds some of the time, but that's exceedingly hard to do in more intimate, close moments. Whether it's to your dismay or otherwise, your partner is not looking away and ignoring your scars. To the contrary, they're providing attention in a way most heavily associated with tenderness: kissing. It may be an accidental slip off target, or they may be trying to show you that what you've done and who you've been don't matter to them now. Does the gesture touch you? Make the walls come up once again because of the memories that are dredged from somewhere you'd rather no go? A mixture of both? The wound has long closed, yet the pains remains; these days, however, there's someone who may be willing to help you bear it. Reply with the usual: canon, character, preferences, et al. You may also want to say if you're down for smut or not, since it's not a given. Be sure to include what side you'd like your character to play. Mention if you can do both the kisser and the kissed. Also, feel free to talk about your character's scars. Reply to others.

[ She quirks an eyebrow at him, looking.. a little perplexed. ] What made you think I would let you kiss me if I wouldn't agree to date you?

[ Honest question. She's not saying no, but she wants to know what his thought process there is. ]

[Good question. He looks like he's debating before he decides to just tell her.] I don't know. You said you didn't want a relationship, so I thought, we're both here. But I really would rather also get to date you.

So you were going to kiss me without asking first.

[ Weiss looks like she's definitely trying to decide if that's creepy or not. But she's.. trying to be nicer, trying to give him a chance. ]

One kiss. You have to actually complete the first date if you want more than that.

Nooo...I was going to ask you and see if you were interested in it.

[He beams. He lets Weiss be the one to make or ruin his day, but right now she's made it.]

All right. Thank you.

I'm not sure how not to compete a first date, but-- [Glancing down, he gingerly takes Weiss' left hand in his. He carefully watches her expression and tries brushing his lips over her scar.] I'm really looking forward to it.

[ Weiss wasn't sure what she had expected, but when Jaune pressed his lips against her in a chaste, almost innocently affectionate manner she wasn't sure how to react. Her eyelid had shut reflexively when he'd gotten close, but beyond that she stood almost a little stunned. Somehow, the fact that he'd gone for her scar instead of her lips, even though she'd given him an allowance made her feel respected. He wasn't doing anything that could be considered trying to really make a move, just.. honestly showing her that he cared. Weiss's fingers tightened over his slightly and she closed her other eye, a little smile pulling to her lips. ]

I can't believe you had the chance to kiss me and you went for that. [ She didn't look displeased at all, though. ]

[Smiling softly, he's relieved when Weiss smiles. There's an elated flutter of warmth in his chest because not only did she not push him away, she even seemed kind of happy about it. He keeps her hand clasped in his.]

You mean after basically begging you to go out with me since we met? I'm being serious, Weiss. I really like you.

[whiteas]

You know, there are a lot of things I'm wrong about at first.

[ Weiss puts her hand on his shoulder softly, then uses it to balance on her toes to give him a light kiss on the cheek. Asmall token. ]

Typically more than I care to admit but this time I may be hoping I was.

[He practically beams now, a few nervous, happy giggles bubbling. So manly. He's really ecstatic okay. It's practically the WeissSchneekissedmeandiswillingtogoonadate keysmashing level of excited.]

I hope you can be glad about being wrong for once.

[ God he is such a dork. What is she even doing.. Still, she's never seen anyone actually get that excited over something that small. ]
