[if there's any negative reaction at all to his initiation of Hug Time, it sails in a graceful arc over Haru's head never to be heard from again. with said hug successfully initiated, he satisfies himself with loosening his grip a little to a more comfortably casual one while he talks from behind Akira's shoulder, head turned so he can do so to the half of Akira's face that's staring at him. if it's a suspicious or unnerved look, that too flies straight past him without a single moment of notice.]

[seriously, what? that's like one of the very first things Haru learned about with humans, so it's practically mind-boggling to him that Akira could possibly be uninformed. that or a little bit sad, but Haru's not sure what to think of it, so he doesn't resolve to make up his mind yet.]

[if it were anyone else, even if all the other warning signals had passed by, just the tone of voice with which Akira replies would tell them to back off. but as it happens, it isn't anyone else who's hanging off of Akira at the moment, so Haru doesn't even begin to think what he's doing is a stupid idea. on the contrary, he's pretty sure it's a rad idea, thank you; Haru loves giving affection and Akira could probably really use it, apparently.]

[Having less chances of tripping with his own feet gives Akira a little encouragement. He raises one of his hands and tugs at Haru's arm, way too gently for someone who is trying to get away from it. He perfectly understands Haru's motivations, but that doesn't stop the situation from being embarrassing. Doubly so, when he hears Haru's answer.]

[which face is that? Haru's not one for being entirely specific, so long as he gets his point across. he pays no attention to Akira's tugging; he knows that he's pretty strong, and if he really wanted to he could probably tear him off with little effort. but he isn't, so he takes it as a friendly pat. the effort it's taking him to keep holding on is starting to get to him though, so it looks like he might lose the battle soon anyway.]

[This is one of those moments when Akira hates having expressions he can’t control. He can try, be he can’t really hide how uncomfortable he’s feeling. His knees are even shaking, what.]

[Oops. Akira had the bad idea of moving away from the wall he’s leaning on in an attempt to get away, but it was destined to fail from the start. Tapioca jumps from his head just in time to avoid any damage, and if Haru hasn’t released him yet, there will be two people in the floor instead of one.]

[nope. when he feels Akira lose his balance his instinct isn't to let go, but to hold on tighter so he doesn't go flying off onto the ground himself. unfortunately, that seems to be where they're headed anyway, and Haru emits a loud yelp of alarm as they tumble down with an unceremonious thud. it's a good thing that the way they fall is on Akira instead of him; if that were the case, he'd probably end up with a lot more than a bumped head.

but hey, at least it's caused him to let go. even if they're in a heap, that counts for something, right?]
