[Shadow just took off, he got a head start! No way Sonic was gonna stay behind him.]

[Almost immediately after he realizes what happened, he sprints after Shadow. It doesn't take long at all for him to catch up with his rival before they're running side by side as usual.]

[He throws a side grin and a chuckle Shadow's way as they go by each other. It's of approval, really. Approval for a number of reasons.]

[ Sherlock's breathing was starting to slow, and his entire body felt boneless. It felt quite good. His hand had, unfortunately, stilled on John's cock. ]

When Sherlock went back to touching him, John nodded and closed his eyes. He wanted to get back into that moment, and he didn't want to make Sherlock work too long for him.]

[ Sherlock was slightly amused at John's obvious surprise, and it's not often he really thanks anyone, including his flatmate. But he really does mean it, and with his inhibitions lowered like they are, he felt comfortable saying it. But now, he was back to observing John's face closely, wanting to see what this looked like on his expression. ]

[ He followed John's instructions closely, wanting him to come, knowing it was because of him, because of his hand. ]

[John nodded quickly in response. He bit his lower-lip and pushed his hips in rhythm with Sherlock's hand. He definitely knew his pleasure was because of his friend. John kept saying his name.]

Sherlock.. oh.. Sherlock.. Sh..

[His body hitched suddenly and he groaned, coming at once into his friend's hand. John huffed, shaking a bit and opened his eyes.]

That was.. [He licked his lips.] Good. Very good.

[ Sherlock took in John's reactions, not stopping his hand until his friend was completely spent. His lips were slightly parted as he watched the expressions on John's face. Afterward, he surreptitiously wiped his hand on the sheet behind him. He smiled just a little, nodding... before leaning in to gently kiss John again, because he could now, and because he really just wanted to. His fingertips played along John's jaw, and he sighed softly out of his nose. ]

I'll get better. Next time.

[John kissed Sherlock back, feeling tired and content. This was nice. He wouldn't have imagined it, but it was really nice.]

[That lit something up in his eyes. Yes, he would definitely like to have a next time.]

[It's not Hawke's fault. She's not the one who placed in him the anxiety for all the things lurking in the corners of his head that he can't remember and he can't blame her for that.
