[Yeah, Sayaka's caught completely off guard by that and almost goes tumbling straight off the bed with her. She manages to stop herself short somehow, but clearly it's time to start playing dirty.]

[It takes about half a second for Kyouko to regret bringing boys up, knowing Sayaka's history. It may have halted the teasing temporarily, but there was obviously no accounting for tact. Stupid. Now what should she say? Something encouraging? What the hell does she even know about this subject, anyway? Pretty much nothing, admittedly, but oh well.]

[Between the fits of laughter and yelling, and she tries to grab the other girl's arms and hold them back.]

[Ohoho. Now the ball is in Sayaka's court. She's quite experienced with grabbyhands. Grinning and laughing, she twists in place to try to find an advantageous angle that Kyouko can't fight back from as she uses one hand for tickling and the other to block the other girls' hands.]

... Yeah, you're right. [ Though it's hard to say whether or not any others would have been worth her time, given how long she was fixated on just one. Sayaka doesn't hold any grudges, but it'll take her a while to really get over it, something the slight tremble in her words probably gives away. ] Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I'm okay with how things turned out.

[ Or that's what she keeps telling herself, anyway. She realizes quickly that she's said way more than she should have - it only takes a few moments to rub her eyes and force a smile on, but the damage is done. ]

... Heh, sorry about that. [ Her eyes might still be red, but the smile is at least growing more genuine. ] I guess I never really had a chance to talk to anybody about it until now.

[The tickling is wearing her down, so Kyouko finds herself with the energy for about one more big effort. She puts all her strength into a direct push, with both arms, at Sayaka's body, aiming to shove her off for at least long enough to squirm out of her hold.]

[Great on offense, not so good on defense. Whether it's fighting witches or tickling other girls, that pretty much sums up Sayaka's style. The push works, knocking the air out of her just long enough for Kyouko to escape.]

The way Sayaka's words come out triggers a pang of sympathy in Kyouko's gut--that, and a lesser pang of anger. A girl gives up her whole life for the sake of one boy, and he'll never know how or why. Then he gets together with someone else. It's awful, but, well. If Sayaka says it's okay, then what right does Kyouko have to dwell on it?

Without really thinking, Kyouko puts an arm around Sayaka's shoulders, and she leans closer. Then she tries to match her smile.]

Why are you saying sorry? We got ears for listening, don't we? I promise that you got until this dumb rain stops to talk about whatever you want.

[Well, if that doesn't take her by surprise... Hawke glances back, eyebrows raised as he slides in behind her. It's a far more intimate gesture than she'd expect from him. She says nothing, content to let him stay there with his cheek against her head and his arms around her waist. She settles one hand on his and smiles, one more glance thrown his way at his word choice. Then, she settles back against him and begins.

One hand writes, slow and careful, letting him watch every stroke to see how the word itself is formed. The other takes to absently tracing the grooves in his gauntlets as if memorizing them, fingers taking their time in their exploration.

When she finishes with the word, she turns her head just slightly for his approval.]

Hermione and a Slytherin, who would have thought it...well, to be honest who would have pictured Hermione with anyone at all. But she seems to have proved them all wrong because here she is naked with Itachi.

And she's thankful for pretty much everything that's happened this evening.
