[Dyrin was too busy being angry to ever realize that anyone ever looked his way. Angry at the treaty formed between their two countries, angry at being partnered up with him, angry at those who would dare to go against his king even if he too did not approve of the treaty. But Dyrin was a good-looking man and a well-known one at that. Not only did he attract the gaze of women as they walked the streets but also of men. Sometimes it was other soldiers who didn't dare attempt to act despite the way their eyes would follow Dyrin around. Women would make an attempt but Dyrin either wasn't paying attention or was brushing them off.

Zaris was betting on his partner brushing them off. No matter how oblivious he might seem, Dyrin was not actually blind to the flirting of others. It was simply how he chose to act.

That didn't stop the bigger general from feeling slightly jealous. Some of the time Dyrin acted the same way to all of his casual flirting but he rather enjoyed it when the other got irritated at him because it meant he wasn't simply pushing it aside.

Currently the pair of them were stopped by a gaggle of fawning women who were trying to get the smaller general to come to a meal. Really, Dyrin had been trying to get information out of them about suspicious behavior but they weren't being cooperative. So far he's stood back with his arms crossed over his chest watching the whole scenario with sharp eyes.

It was clear that they weren't going to get anything out of these women so long as they were trying to score a date with Dyrin. They weren't even swayed by his famous anger. One reason being in Dyrin's land made things difficult - the people here looked up to him rather than feared him.

Typically Zaris was a patient man. He could lay in wait for days for an enemy, approached every situation with a calm head and could partner with such a hot-headed man because of that patience. But even he had his limits.

After ten minutes of this situation, he wasn't feeling so patient or generous with these ladies. It only takes two steps to close the distance between him and Dyrin and he wraps an arm around the shorter man's shoulder. Then he proceeds to lean down until he's level with his partner, giving the ladies a charming smile.]

Sorry ladies, but General Thayne's evening is spoken for. He and I have some matters to discuss. [His tone was extremely suggestive even though his smile gave away nothing.]
