You and I will always be unfinished business
forbidden love
You & I will always be
unfinished business
Relationship Type (optional)
1. Family - you're keeping it all in the family, literally.
2. Balance of Power - the other person has a higher status than you somehow.
3. Position - your position doesn't allow for you to have such compromising emotions.
4. Logistics - love from you may be impossible, dangerous...or even deadly.
5. Cheating - you're both having an affair together.
6. Caught in the middle - it's nothing you've done, but the feud going on between those you're both close to keeping you apart.
7. Other - some other type of relationship we've forgot? Want to combine? Go right on ahead!
Scenes
Sweet
1. Can't deny it - you've tried to run from your feelings for so long and you can't do it anymore. It's time that you show the object of your affection exactly how you feel. Hopefully you don't lose everything in the process!
2. First time - it's your first time making love together. Is it awkward? Do you go all out or is it spur of the moment?
3. Accidental - you didn't actually mean to confess or kiss. They overheard you or it was an accidental kiss. Maybe you were just really drunk and let it slip!
4. Close as can be - you just want to make love and you've found a spot where it's just you and your partner, however you want it to be.
5. Happily ever after - somehow, you've made it work and you're both happy together, even if it meant you had to run away together.
6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here!
Angst
1. Conflict - you've just had a fight with your lover over your relationship or how you handle it. Can you find it in yourselves to forgive each other?
2. Cheated - your lover has cheated on you and you need to confront them about their reasons why and if you can work it out.
3. Found out - you've been found out by someone close to you and they're less than thrilled with your relationship.
4. Disgust - though they play along with it, they're secretly disgusted by the relationship they have with you and it finally comes out into the light.
5. Guilt - one of you is feeling guilty over your relationship, knowing it can never be truly normal or more than a secret.
6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here!
Comfort
1. Soothing touch - what better way to sooth your lover than to make love to them and show them that no matter what other people say, you're not going anywhere.
2. Fight for you - whoever has found out about your relationship is trying to hurt your lover and you're not going to let them.
3. Won't let you go - you need your lover to realize that you won't let them go, no matter what.
4. Back together - you broke up for a bit, but whatever it is between you two, you can't stay apart.
5. Injured - your lover was injured because of your relationship and it's time to patch them up.
6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here!
Twisted
1. Forced - you know your partner isn't interested in you like this, but you keep them going along with the relationship no matter what. Coercion, blackmail, whatever it takes.
2. Won't take no - their lips might say no, but you're not listening.
3. Control - you've given them some kind of potion to get your love interest to love you in return and they have to do whatever you say.
4. Recorded - you're not really interested in this forbidden love affair, but you must do it or you'll face some tough consequences.
5. Insult - you're cornered by those who disapprove of your relationship, hearing how filthy you are.
6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here!
Ending
1. Left alone - you woke up to your lover trying to slip away in the night because of the strain of the relationship. Do you let them go or try and fight for it?
2. Torn apart - others are keeping you apart after they found out about your relationship, giving you only minimal contact. What do you do?
3. Ending fight - the argument has turned dirty and ends with one of you storming out.
4. Parting ways - both of you have decided to part ways. It's just so much easier.
5. Always love you - though you'll always love each other, maybe it's time the relationship goes back to being strictly platonic. It would be easier... or maybe that's just how one of you feels.
6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here!

Guilt and conflict since Will is lying to Hannibal, maybe Won't Let You Go as reassurance, with Can't Deny It being a catalyst. We can also add in anything else you might want. Just let me know. For now, I'll write us a starter.]
[It was all too easy to get swept up in Hannibal Lecter. Every visit to his home would end in some delicious, if possibly twisted, meal eaten by low light and accompanied by the perfect wine. It was always orchestrated perfectly, planned and executed in a way that seemed effortless despite the effort that must have gone into it. The entire presentation spoke of intimacy with all of his guests, a promise of secrecy and close friendships.
Will Graham, knowing what he knew, couldn't call Doctor Lecter a friend, but he knew that for the two of them, the intimacy was real despite the various illusions that existed between them. It was ironic, ridiculous even to find so much truth coming from the mouth of a liar, but behind the pleasantries of everyday man, behind the limits sat by polite society, Hannibal did help Will see himself.
The wine warmed him from the inside out, though the room itself was pleasantly warm. Since he was now in on the good doctor's secrets, he was rather sure he hadn't just eaten someone, which was always a plus in his book. Things were getting close now, there would soon be an arrest made, but Will wasn't finding himself as happy with that as he should be. While it would be nice to think the moral compass in his brain still pointed north, if he believed in such things, he was having regrets about what would happen to Hannibal after he was arrested. If he got a prison sentence, Will could live with that, but considering his body count and methods, it was possible he'd be put to death.
He looks into his wine, seeing his own reflection staring back at him. Deciding he didn't quite like what he saw, he turned his eyes to his gracious host, one corner of his lips fluttering up in a half-smile.]
I would tell you dinner was delicious, but that would come to no surprise to you.

Hannibal smiled at Will's thinly veiled compliment.]
And yet there is still pleasure in the telling, quite apart from the surprise.

[He took another look at his wine, another sip to let it coat the inside of his throat.]
Then, my compliments to the chef. As there have been no murders, am I safe in assuming it was another species we just had for dinner?
[Hannibal was honest about that with him now, in his own way. He never outright confessed to a murder, but he said things that let Will know one way or another.]

[It was a tease regarding Will's second question. Hannibal would argue that he had rarely lied, per se, about the source of his ingredients. Instead he had spoken what was technically the truth, and allowed his guests to draw their own erroneous conclusions. He suspected that many of them knew, on some deep level, the truth Hannibal concealed in plain sight, but were unwilling or unable to bring themselves to believe what they already knew.
He paused for a beat, giving Will the space to wonder, then continued smoothly.]
The calf kind enough to provide our meat tonight was indeed of the bovine variety.
no subject
Maybe that was why he stood, pushing his chair out to rise and then back in.
He wasn't the man Hannibal saw, the man he wanted Hannibal to see, but he was much closer to that man than he wanted to admit. It almost felt like he needed that sense of clarity, the 'him' that was visible through only Hannibal's unique perspective.
The draw was real, he knew that. There was nothing to be gained by fooling even himself.]
Choosing the right meat, scouring for the right recipe, cooking every element to perfection. [He spoke slowly, surely.] So much work goes into each meticulous preparation. After the meal is finished, is there ever the sense of declination? Or are you already planning your next meal? Or your next hunt?
no subject
Hannibal dabbed the corner of his mouth with his napkin, then put it aside and also rose.]
All the effort would be worthless if one did not allow the time to enjoy the fruits of one's labor. And proper enjoyment includes the sensation of satisfaction. While one need not be starving to hunt, there must, I find, be some measure of hunger. At least to gain pleasure from the hunt itself. At the moment I am no longer hungry.
[He tilted his head, narrowing his eyes slightly.]
Is something troubling you, Will?
no subject
[Casually, he made his way to stand in front of the glass doors that adorned the dining room. Like this, with the lights on, he could see his own reflection as well as Hannibal's.]
Freddie Lounds had to die. She wasn't a murder like Garret Jacob Hobbs, but she posed a threat to my life in her own way.
[Hannibal was always a striking figure, the complete opposite of what Will himself appeared to be. The man was elegant, sophisticated, seemingly with endless talent. His home was large and extravagant, whereas Will lived in a tiny home with his dogs, and enjoyed fishing in the streams. How could two men so different have so much in common?] I don't feel the guilt response that normally comes after a murder. There has been a narcissism behind it all since I pulled the trigger in the Hobb's kitchen. I chose who lived and died there, I chose Abigail over her father. Even in a self-defense case, a murder weighs heavily on the conscious, an anchor that reminds us we're still able to judge right from wrong.
[A hand went up to scratch at his neck. None of this was what he wanted to say. He wanted to tell his partner in crime the truth. 'I do still know what you're doing has to be stopped. I'm working with Jack, we're doing to bring you in, but I want it much less than I used to. How did you manage to get inside of my head so completely?']
I suppose an anchor is a typical representation of being weighed down. It's not really a flattering metaphor, is it?
no subject
Clearly threats to our lives need not come with physical weapons. Nor need the threat necessarily be death.
[Hannibal would, for instance, fight with lethal force for his freedom. At that moment he was unaware that the fact might hold secret significance for Will. Unaware of how this self-defense would bring everything crashing down around them in the light of his friend's betrayal.]
An anchor is only sufficient insofar as it is attached to the ship. Most people will pull against it, becoming weary in their battle for no gain whatsoever. Few realize that they themselves wield the blade that can sever the rope and free themselves, rendering the anchor useless.
no subject
If Jack knew how thin that line dividing the two was, he would have rethought the plan. Will was aware of that.
The reflection no longer enough, he turns to look at his friend, his head tilting upward only slightly so their eyes met.]
That would make you a very sharp blade. The sharpest.
no subject
He smiled at Will's statement, his eyes resting comfortably on his friend's.]
And yet how I may be wielded ultimately remains your choice.
[A sense of ownership, of responsibility, was vital for Will to truly transform into the being Hannibal knew him to be.]
no subject
No, Will had probably graduated beyond that. He felt that the bond with Hannibal was real, something deeper than the murderer normally allowed. But, did the others feel that way as well? Will was an intelligent man, he hadn't yet fallen so completely as to be blind. He supposed that was worth some minuscule faith in himself.
Like this, they were close. Aware of his presence, he couldn't help but think of himself as fish swimming toward the bait. Nonetheless, he found his eyes flickering toward those lips, and he instantly wished he had the wine glass to occupy himself.]
You're too smart for that. I am responsible for my own actions, but you won't be regulated to a background character or a prop. We're a team now.

As Will's eyes drifted down to his lips, Hannibal contemplated the clear physical attraction between them. It was as yet not acted upon, but that didn't mean Hannibal hadn't considered it, nor would he find it unwelcome. With mere playthings, like Alana Bloom, he would typically initiate the physical contact, smoothly taking control of the encounters, using them to his purposes. Again, Will was different. It wasn't that Hannibal would refrain from using a physical relationship for his own purposes if he saw fit. Rather, in this as well Will's ownership, his choice, was important to him.
He shifted, moving just a slight bit closer, tilting his head and allowing his gaze to rest on his friend's lips as well.]
Perhaps then a better way of viewing it is that I have given you the tools with which you may cut away the bindings that have held you. If on occasion with my help and guidance.
[It was an elegant way of referring to his influence and manipulation.]
no subject
It was easy to follow the trajectory of that gaze, and Will was all too aware he had been the first to look. Still, it was silent approval, permission for their lips to meet. He knew he shouldn't. Already, Hannibal offered a dangerous form of seduction, one that didn't necessarily have to be sexual. If they connected in other ways, if they confirmed and acted on a connection he was sure they both felt, it would only be more dangerous.
But that was how the doctor, the murderer, got them all. He convinced them that one little concession, one little risk was worth it. Eventually, they were willing to do anything, clay molded and shaped by his hand.
There was little distance between them. The doctor was barely an inch taller, and they were standing so close as to be touching. It was all too easy to silence those doubts long enough to raise his head slightly and press his lips against the doctor's, already moving rather than waiting for a return; he could read signals, he knew it would be.]
no subject
Perhaps it would be better to pull away, kindly end the kiss and go on with the evening as if their lips had never touched. It would be safer. But with the first taste Hannibal finds himself hungry, desiring more of this, more of his friend. Instead he cups Will's cheek with one hand, rests the other on his friend's waist, and deepens the kiss.]
no subject
There were differences between them. Or, Will assumes, as his own kiss is heated, and he expects a more composed kiss in return. His conveys what he's feeling that moment, at least in the physical sense. Both arms wrap around Hannibal before his tongue darts out, pressing against those lips, asking for permission.
This was no one's direction, this was entirely Will Graham.]
