As children, it seems we get along much better than we ever can as adults. Everyone is a friend, everything is an adventure. We can be close, and it's like those halcyon days will never end. Still, even as children, there as some people we're closer to and care more for than others.
What if that connection grew as we did, and when we are older becomes something more...mature? This isn't a childhood attraction anymore. You've both grown and now you have grown needs.
Will you indulge it, those sweet or not-so-sweet memories making this rendezvous all the sweeter?

prompts
- Close as Can Be: You were best friends as kids. Will this newfound physical relationship change things?
- Grew Up Apart: You met as children, but then one of you left. Now, you're back, and sparks are flying.
- They're Like a Sister or Brother: Closeness meant that each of you viewed the other as nothing more than a completely asexual being, like a sibling. What's changed?
- One Act of Kindness: Technically, you weren't exactly close or really even friends. Yet one of you was kind to the other as child, and that other never forgot.
- The One True Love: You've known it from the start. They're the one, the only one you'll ever love, and you want to be with them in a new way.
- Like Cats and Dogs: Oh, you could never get along with them as a kid...but now...well. That fire is from a brand new feeling.
- Getting Hotter: Not to be mean, but he used to be f.a.t. She used to look like such a tomboy. How times change.
- Huge Crush: One of you harbored a giant, fat crush on the other, and this is like living the dream.
- Never Looked My Way: They were so high above you back then; these days, you see eye to eye. Are you bitter, or will you take them for what they are?
- I Said I'd Marry You: Kids make promises of marriage all the time. Does some part of you secretly want to still get married, or at least skip to the wedding night?
- Remember Prom Night?: You lost your virginity to them. You want a repeat performance.
- The Games We Play: Hide and seek. Tag. Blind man's bluff. Let's take all those games from back then and make them into a new sort of fun.
- A Child's Cruelty: They were cold to you as a child and you haven't gotten over it.
- This is Not My Idea: You were engaged by your parents at a young age and - err - you weren't exactly a match made in heaven. Things change, however, and maybe this marriage will work.
- With Someone Else: You're with someone new. Why can't you let go of the past? It hurts to see your old friend, your old flame, now. It hurts more to know you're cheating with them.
- The One that Got Away: They say you never forget your childhood sweetheart. You sure haven't. Even being with them once more is enough.

Katsura Kotarou // Gintama // ALL UR JOUIS PLS
11... and pretty much 16 too.
What happened was he bumped into Katsura outside the grocery store, and he couldn't (half-heartedly) shake him off. Katsura trails after him pretty much all the way, and a few minutes before home Gintoki throws an arm into the air in exasperation. ]
Ah, I guess if you're just gonna keep following me, you might as well bother me at home too!
also 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10...
[ Well, with a bit less of blood, tears and suffering, but metaphorically speaking. ]
[ Katsura beams, as if genuinely surprised by such generosity. ]
That's very kind of you, Gintoki. We do have a lot to catch up on.
Their meme (for real I mean look we're the only ones here)
Katsura is exactly as stupid as usual, too. ]
Ahhh, yes, I say "bother" and he thinks I'm being kind. Like I'm not very obviously pissed off.

[ Isn't it reassuring to know some things just don't change? ]
You tend to say things you don't mean a lot, Gintoki.
[ He'll just invite himself in, then! ]

And up the stairs they go. Gintoki's grumbling the whole way, annoyed remarks about Katsura invading his space and ruining everything. You know, the usual.
He opens the door, kicks his boots off and marches straight for the kitchen. ]
Oii, anyone home?
no subject
[ The usual indeed. He's so used to it he almost doesn't notice, though he does peek around curiously once he's carried himself inside through the main door, hands in sleeves and back straight as always. ]
Oh, you live with someone?
[ Innocent but careful. ]
no subject
[ Will bite your head off so watch out, he's about to say, but on another hand. ]
...is very lovely. Why don't you go say hi?
[ And get eaten. While he unpacks this bag. ]
If he's here.
no subject
Isn't she a little young, Gintoki?
no subject
NOT LIKE THAAAAT!! DON'T MAKE DISTURBING ASSUMPTIONS!
no subject
[ it cracks and drops to the floor, where it splats sadly, splashing on his socks. ]
I see, I see. [ taps his chin thoughtfully. ] Your wild youth days have finally caught up to you, huh?
[ ...now he's thinking she's your bastard child : D ]
no subject
--Ah, or is she ...
[ A slight delay, but then he furiously shakes his head and resists the urge to throw another egg. Why did he do that? What a waste. ]
It's not like that either! She had nowhere to go, all right?
[ And she kind of threatened him, but details. ]
no subject
[ He nods thoughtfully again. ]
So you took her in, eh? I suppose you really have grown up...
[ To be like him, but that's an unnecessarily loaded comparison. After all, there were lots of men that took orphans under their wings, right? ]
[ Anyway; ]
You mentioned you have a dog?..
[ He's already walking around the apartment, checking behind furniture and opening doors. ]
no subject
It isn't anything he's considered, and for a moment his gaze turns more distant than usual, before the matter of Sadaharu distracts him. ]
Ah, yeah, unless he's out with Kagura he's probably sleeping somewhere.
[ Maybe behind one of the couches in the living room.
Right, he was unpacking this bag. ]
no subject
-- there you are!
[ Katsura coos happily from somewhere behind the couch, and immediately reaches out to pet the giant monster. ]
[ ...and half his arm disappears in its jaws. ]
no subject

no subject
Just incredible.
Gintoki stops in the doorway, and folds his arms. ]
Oi, Zura, you'll lose your arm if you don't move.
no subject
[ ...Sadaharu lets go of his arm and bites his head. ]
no subject
How's your head doing?
no subject
..it's throbbing a little.
no subject
Probably dripping blood too.
no subject
What point exactly are you trying to make, Gintoki?
[ Said as blood slowly trickles down his face. He's oblivious to it. ]
no subject
... Okay, there is a smile. A mocking one, though. Not fond at all. Nah. ]
I'm saying your hair's probably gonna get covered in blood.
no subject
[ He stays perfectly still for a moment, then yelps and flails a little, trying to tug himself out of the giant dog's jaws. ]
I changed my mind! Please reconsider!
