Confessions of feelings are rarely as nice and romantic as they seem in the Hollywood flicks. Sometimes, they're screamed across an empty house as someone leaves. Others, they whispered across white pillow cases as bodies lie close together in the dark. Of course, these feelings may not be returned, but it may be the only shot you have.

If you even meant to spill, anyway.

How to Play
- Comment with your character, putting your information and preferences somewhere in the comment.
- Comment to other characters. Roll the RNG to get your prompt, or pick one.
- Play out the scene and take it whatever direction you'd like.
- Be cute and fun or sad and depressing.

1. Planned: You've been planning to tell this person how you feel, and you know exactly the way to do it.

2. Spontaneous: Uh-oh, it just slipped out! Maybe you weren't thinking, maybe it was a fight, but somehow, your secret's out.

3. Heat of the Moment: What's better than calling someone's name out in the trows of passion? Why, telling them you love them, of course!

4. The Last Time: You're coming clean with your feelings because you're dying, moving away, leaving the planet, going to war, whatever. Might as well when you'll probably never see them again.

5. Jealousy: You've seen the one you love in the arms of another, and you just have to let your feelings be known so they don't end up with the wrong person! Selfish, what's selfish?

6. Drunk: A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts, so maybe you should be careful what you say, or you'll be telling your best friend you have the hots for her. Awkward.

7. Lie: You don't actually have feelings for this person, but you need them to believe that you do in order to use them, get something, or perhaps to not hurt their feelings.

8. Sweet: You confess...and they feel the same, and have wanted to say it for a while. Oh, how cute! Go on and enjoy your cute little romance.

9. One-sided: One of you confessed, but it's completely unrequited. Can you still be friends, or is that too painful?

10. Forbidden: Your love for this person is totally uncool - not allowed, even. But it has to be brought to light, preferably by you.

11. Unfulfilled: While you both love each other, you decided mutually that this can't go any further.

[Lys has climbed up the ramparts — as was often her want — hanging by her fingers from the sheer stone face with just her head of unruly dark hair poking up from the other side of the castle wall. Across the way and through a wide, elegant window, she can see Adelina inside the building proper. So she calls out in a low, careful voice that nonetheless carries:]

Princess!

[she was sitting in her room, reading a book, but she puts it down as soon as she hears that voice. it brings a smile to her face as she quickly comes towards the window.]

Wait there for a moment. I'll come to you.

Ah....okay!

[There's something about that which bothers her, Adelina troubling herself on Lys' account. It's not what Lys had imagined, nor planned for, especially not today, as much as someone like her could plan for anything on any day.

But there's no helping it, so Lys merely continues to hang from the wall like no ordinary human should be capable of doing, ducking her head back down out of sight whenever a sentry guard patrols too close.]

[true to her word, she's there a few moments later, and crossing over to the guards with a concerned look on her face. she points in the opposite direction as she speaks to them in tones too low for lys to hear, and the sentries on patrol run in the way she's indicated.

as soon as she's certain they're far enough away that they can't hear or see this area any longer, she comes near the window lys is hanging from.]

They won't be back for a bit. You can come down if you like.

[She debates sliding down the wall, flaying open her fingers to the bone in the careless way that Lys so often was with herself, her health, her life. But that would make Adelina upset, for some reason, and she hated it when the princess was distressed. So instead, Lys just smiles.]

Could you open the window, first? I, um, I brought something for you.

[bloodbiter]

Oh, of course! My apologies.

[to the room she goes!! and sure enough, the window is being opened once she's there.]

[She climbs up and in, hoisting her gaunt frame into Adelina's bedroom. Rather than stand, she sits beneath the windowsill, reaching into her cloak for something carefully tucked away there.

It's a flower with the roots left intact, bundled in a clump of the soil that originally birthed it. The petals are bright orange, an odd shade not found near the castle.]

I thought that maybe.....ah, you could plant this, if you wanted. It smells really nice, and I thought it was pretty, so....

[bloodbiter]

[she takes the flower carefully, being gentle enough that she won't damage it, and a smile spreads across her face.]

It's beautiful. I will treasure it. Oh, that reminds me, I have something for you!

Eh? You didn't have to get me anything.

[bloodbiter]

I know I didn't, but I wanted to all the same. Will you close your eyes?

Or that's what it feels like, when the kiss happens. She's too shocked to respond to it, even if she knew how....and she doesn't. All Lys can do is sit there, totally stunned, until the contact breaks.]
