Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... Her head knew it was a simple holiday party and that her ponytail was not the most party friendly of hairstyles (especially given the little black dress she was wearing). "My head gets that its a party and that I don't need a ponytail but my heart is screaming it can't go without its armor." she tried to explain (since she was still working through some old wounds that tagged along from her move from Gotham). "Think I'm going to need a bit of boyfriend support on this one?" she finally realized, knowing it helped during the last ponytail free event.

But as she spoke she could not make herself even consider taking the scrunchie out of her hair.

Usually it's Tommy who takes care of Eggsy like this: with his missions, more often than not he's the one who needs not baths and massages. But this time Tommy came home with two days worth of beard, coming in ridiculous and ginger, highlighting the dark shadows underneath his eyes. He's walking like everyone muscle in his body is aching, and honestly, it might be true.

"Run me a bath, love?" It's almost the first thing he says when he greets Eggsy, kissing his cheek. The order implies something, but it's something settled between them more than a conscious decision.

first varric and aveline had roused him about three hours too early to have properly slept off the hangover from a night of drinking at the hanged man. and he might have forgiven them the slight if varric's lead on suspicious activity in the sundermount caverns had lead to the slavers they had suspected, but no. instead, they'd stumbled right onto a secret nest of giant spiders and the hapless band of poachers who'd hoped to make a fortune selling off their venom in kirkwall's black market. which meant that he'd spent the day hiking barefoot and hungover, only to deal with spider ichor in his hair and dragging a surly clutch of prisoners back to kirkwall.

... which is why fenris lets himself into hawke's manor, pushes brusquely past bodhan's attempts to announce him properly, and kicks open the door to hawke's bathroom without bothering to knock. (that last bit, at least, has the added bonus of scattering all the household servants with varying degrees of embarrassment and distress.) ]

Move over. [ already he's going to work on the buckles of his gauntlets, not bothering to ask whether he's actually invited. it's been a long day, there's spider guts matted in his hair, and his feet are sore from hiking up (and then down) a damned mountain. besides, the bathtub at hawke's estate is nicer than the one in his own rotting manor. ] I'm joining you.
