She is the one, and I have a purpose:
* that's gender neutral ![]() It's fairly simple, really, no royalty required. One of you is the "princess:" sweet, gentle, possibly energetic, always full of life and innocence. The other is the "knight:" stoic, or at least serious about protecting that one special person, dedicated, strong, a fighter. And the two of you are in love, even if one...less expressive than the other. Together romantically or not, there's something that connects you, most likely a driving need to protect. But don't let the normal conventions full you, the "princess" (or "prince," as it may be, because the terms here are gender neutral) is just as important. Someone has look to the emotional well-being and happiness of the "knight," and often, those "knights" need a lot of help.

It looks pretty.

[She doesn't know why she's saying it. She doesn't even really like the thing, herself. But if Kaede likes it...]
[Somehow, for some reason, she rather wants her to have it.]

Obviously she was just looking at the embroidered flowers, it definitely wasn't about staying close to Historia.]
If it won't trouble you.

It's fine, I don't mind it. Do you like the colors?

[Kaede reached out carefully, brushing her fingertips over the finished edge. The fabric was smooth, soft, and yet didn't seem terribly fragile.]
I like the lilies.
no subject
I didn't know you liked flowers, Kaede.

[Kaede kept tracing her fingers to where Historia was was holding the piece up, curling her callused hand around the other girl's.]
Some of them. What about a red one, in the middle?
no subject
A red lily? About... maybe around there?
no subject
Yes. Like your face.
[She chuckled a little, despite her own ears abruptly doing their best to blend in with her hair almost in sympathy.]
Anywhere you like.

[She might be pouting just a little. There's no need to pick on her, when you're the one who made her blush in the first place!]
no subject
Don't look like that. That's my job.
[Goodness, her face might get stuck this way if she kept smiling. Then what would everyone else think?]
no subject
What is, blushing?
You're in an unusual mood today.
no subject
[Which Kaede was also doing a very poor job of right now.
Still, her laughter paused for a moment longer.]
...is it bad?
no subject
[Probably.]
Is what bad?
no subject
[If it made Historia happy, it couldn't possibly be bad. Just felt strange.]
